Q: can someone be attractive but not good-looking?

Absolutely. If someone has a great personality or vibe, or maybe they dress very well or exude a lot of confidence, that can overshadow their surface appearance and make them seem attractive. The two words are not synonymous. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder; one person's "attractive" could be another's "hideous"; thus, that person is probably not universally considered to be "good-looking."

Q: In my english class my group and I have to do a poetry seminar. The seminar has to be at least 15 minutes long. Our poem is called Advice to a Girl by Sara Teasdale. We can't seem to find any background on the poem but on the poet. What we really need is a summary and interpretation of the poem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this isn't really an advice question, but I have no other options.

Actually it sounds like the point was for you all to summarize and interpret. That would be why there is a group of you and why you must do a seminar for the rest of the class.

Q: hey, im looking for a new diet that will help me get my fat down, but not my muscle, i weigh 245, and 14 years old and i need to get down 20 pounds of just fat... any ideas of a good diet to stick to, i need to get my weight down just before football bcuz im planning on playing the mike linebacker on varsity this year

actually i would suggest more cardio workout. even if you were over 6 ft tall (which would partially explain your weight), 245 is definitely on the hefty side for a 14 yr old. this means too many cals, and you should be burning more than you are consuming in order to lose that weight.

it's not all up to what you eat. in any event, start asking your parents for lower cal snacks around the house. stay away from bread, pasta, and baked goods. instead, fruits, veggies, grains.

and you don't lose muscle by cardio work-out.

Q: Okay so i have a yeast infection, and just used the monistat one dose night or day ovule insert. I inserted it normally, no pain or anything, but when I removed the inserter there was blood on it. Not a lot of blood, but there was definitely red spotting on the inserter, about the same color as the last days of your period. I have just finished my period about a week ago so I know the bleeding isn't my period. Also when I go to the bathroom there is no blood on the toilet paper. So im kinda confused as to why there was blood on the inserter when I removed it. Any ideas? I would call my doctor but it is too late right now (her office is closed), and I'd like to see if anyone has any idea as to what could be causing this while I wait for morning to come so that i can ask my doctor tomorrow.

Q: ok so i'm from the UK and our class is writing an exam on irish history on thuesday. so where suppost to write an essay about everything we know and answer some questions.but my problem is actually the essay.

start with a specific anecdote which serves as an image embodiment of some great theme in irish history. then, zooming out, outline your thesis and map of how you will be following that theme thru out irish history

Oh, well in that case, I completely understand your feeling like you've done enough damage. The thing is, you really don't have anything to lose in trying to tell her again how you feel. You need to be true to yourself, and if you're sure you like her, you know what to do. If she just completely does not like girls, you need to tell her that you care more about losing her as a friend than not having her as a girlfriend, and that you will respect her feelings in that way. i mean it was hard to explain because it was one of those smack in the face falling for someone kinda feeling and you try to understand why u like them but you cant.

A better answer would have been one that actually answered the question. Why do you really like her? If it's real, there will be concrete things, like the way she walks, or that thing she says when she is feeling a certain way, or her favorite weather. There will be the abstract, too, like the warmth you feel when she smiles, or something like that. You didn't answer her question. Who knows, perhaps if you tell her why you really like her, and it's a good reason, she'll like you for it.

i blame this on my brother he has told me i was fat since i was 3

1) Yes, I think you're fat. And a side note, how can you blame that on your brother calling you fat? You can either blame your parents for giving you fat genes, or you can blame yourself for your eating/exercise habits.

BUT. Why is being fat so wrong to you? And if it is, than it is time for you to start actively trying to get in shape. You get to dictate who you are, and what being fat means. If you're happy with yourself, fat or not, it does not matter whether you are fat or not. It matters that you are happy.

About your brother, I think you need to accept yourself to deal with that. Be happy with who you are, and then it won't matter what other people think.

Q: so a long time ago, before i started my period, i had woke up one day and went to the bathroom. when i wiped i saw a lot of blood. it was not my period because when i peed the blood was not in the urine flow. could it have possibly been that my cherry popped. nothing happened like that for the rest of the day. i did not start my period for months later. it was just a one time thing.

Um, your cherry "pops" out of the same place your period flows... so if you had blood that was not coming out of your vagina, it was probably a cut or some sort of external wound...

these arent in the online or offline dictionaries. they are just endings which can be applied to any word almost

there r specific diminutives which provide nuance, like ahora (now)--> ahorita (right now)

they're called diminutives...there are many of them, as are there in english
