ok im a female and only 18 but i do know a little about cars well just really mine and my parents' but yesterday i went out to warm my car up for work and it is parked on a hill, on the side of a street, and when i parked my gas light was on but i should of had enough gas to warm it up and gets down the road for gas but after it warmed up for maybe 5 mins it like stalled and my "check engine" light oil light and battery light came on.. now is it that im out of gas and just need some gas cuz of the hill or is there someone else thats worse wrong? I checked all the fluids and there fine. Please help me.
Sleepiesheep
The reason as to why your car stalled sounds simply enough, like you ran out of gas. Being on a hill doesn't mean anything, your fuel pump has a cage built around it to ensure that fuel will always be on the pump. If that wasn't the case, anytime we made a turn with our cars the thing would nearly stall because all of the fuel would be on one side of the tank and away from the pump, which is in the center of the tank. HOWEVER, the float which reads your fuel level can be slightly off, sending the gauge incorrect information that might be telling you the car actually has more gas than it does. If that's the case, the sending unit will need replaced. Don't worry about that though, just fill your car with gas and see if everything clears up.
The only reason all the lights came on was because you stalled. Anytime your motor stops running while the ignition is still in the run position, all of those lights on the dash will come on regardless of what the reason it stalled is.
A little extra advice though for the future, always keep your fuel level above a 1/4 tank. The fuel is actually what cools the fuel pump, and when it gets too low the pump actually gets warmer in the process, shortening the life of it. If the fuel pump fails to be properly cooled it will eventually burn up and need replacing, which can get expensive.
Hope this helps! -Dave
i would like broaden my shoulders . does any know exercise , pilates etc for it
There is a wide variety of shoulder exercises that you can perform to broaden your shoulders. However, your shoulders are made up of three muscles, all together known as the deltoid. These three parts are the anterior deltoid, which is the "front" buldge in your shoulder. The lateral deltoid is the biggest portion which is the middle of your shoulder muscle, and the posterior deltoid is the rear potion of deltoid. What you want to focus on for a broader shoulder span is the LATERAL deltoid. An excellent exercise is the upright row which can be performed with a barbell of dumbells, in which you lift your arms to a curve while keeping the dumbells or barbell parallel to the floor. (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidLateral/BBUprightRow.html)
It is good to work out the anterior and posterior deltoids as well as to keep everything porportioned. However, you can target the lateral area greater to reach your goal. Check out some of the other exercises on the website I posted, they have some excellent visuals and descriptions to aide you in your workouts. Just keep a well balanced, high protein diet and work your shoulders every other day three times a week (a break in between each day to rest your shoulders and give them time to regrow and regain) and you will get your results! I wish you the best of luck! :) Dave
my friends always says that im silly what does that mean and is it a bad thing?
Definitely not. In this life, we have to be silly from time to time otherwise we'd go crazy. People who are too serious generally have a rougher time getting through their day because we were MADE to feel laughter, happiness and joy. Goofing around always creates those three things. HOWEVER, there is an exception to being silly like places such as work, or during school. I've found an awesome quote that I think will help you greatly. "Take your responsibilities seriously, but never yourself." Basically this means if you have to do something, get it done right. Never be too hard on yourself doing the responsibility though. If you make a mistake, just laugh about it rather than beating yourself up over it :) Overall being silly, with good measure, will make you have a much more enjoyable life. :) Dave
Does the Jillian Michaels Fat burner pills really help? Is there a difference, besides in price, in buying them from Walmart or GNC? Or any other pills that help lose weight, with the help of working out. I am 123 and 5'3 if that helps.. would like to shed some pounds.
The best fat burner i've found on the market today is by far the heavily marketed Hydroxycut by MuscleTech. Bodybuilding.com has some of the cheapest prices for supplements, so if it's possible for you to use a credit card to order things online I highly recommend their website. The shipping only costs about $4.99, and it arrives in two days or in some cases, even one depending on where you're located. Give that website a shot for your options, they have alot of great working fat burners! I've never heard any praise about the Jillian Michael's series, but i'm sure with how popular they are they are effective. If you REALLY want results though, go with Hydroxycut, it's almost guarenteed to burn body fat! I'm glad to see you're planning on working out because that'll definitely aid you in achieveing your goal. :) There's nothing wrong with getting a little help from a fat burner, in fact it's exciting to await the results! :) Good luck to you and hopefully you select a great supplement for yourself! Dave

The fruits & vegetables fast diet is incredibly effective at helping you loose weight in a fast time, all while keeping your body nourished with plenty of vitamins and minerals fruits and vegetables have to offer. The diet sounds exactly how it is; fruits and vegetables, and nothing else, (other than water of course). Water is an extremely vital key to weight lose, and you should consume as much as possible. The more water you drink, the less will stomach will hold, therefore, the less you want to eat. With this F&V diet (we'll call it that), you'll want to have fruits in the morning, and vegetables at night. This diet is going to be broken up into six small meals per day. Breaking your meals up into smaller ones such as that as opposed to three large meals a day, allows your metabolism to always be firing off calories that you take in. With a three meal a day diet, your metabolism isn't going as strong as it would be with this method. The fruits are going to be supplying the majority of your energy, since they are high in natural carbohydrates. With that being said, I wouldn't reccommend doing fruits more than two meals a day. Eat fruits only in the morning, so for breakfast as soon as you wake up, have some peach slices (not canned peaches! There is a motto, if it has ever been canned or frozen, don't eat it) and some water. Then for your second out of the six meals, have a banana, or a fruit of your choice. It doesn't sound like you're eating much, but at the end of the day, you are going to be eating a good amount of healthy fruits and vegetables. With the addition of water too as I said before, you won't have to eat as much to keep you filled up. When you are trying to loose weight, nutrition is at least 70% of it. Excersise however is very important in aiding your body fat loss. Cardiovascular activities, such as running, swimming, biking, or anything that gets your heart pumping and your body breathing, are key to burning off the fat. It is not reccommended to lift weights to try to loose body fat; weight training just isn't nearly as efficient as cardiovascular activity in loosing body fat. I would say that would be the quickest, safest way to loose weight in a short amount of time. Whatever you do, do not try to starve yourself from eating. It is probably the worst thing you can do to try and loose weight, because as you starve your body, it goes into what is called "starvation mode" and anything that you eat once it has begun is packed onto your frame as body fat to try and conserve what you are eating. Just keep on eating those fruits and veggies, and you will complete your goal. I wish you lots of luck! Dave.
Can you reccomend a song that is easy for my guitar exam?
Smoke on the Water, as made famous by Deep Purple. It was my first song I ever learned to play when I started the guitar as well as a huge amount of my friends. The riff is very simple to play, and it also sounds very sweet when you play it :) Good luck with your exam!
I was sitting in class today and I overheard my best friend telling the teacher that she loved her (as a teacher, of course). I know there are different kinds of love and different ways of loving someone but...
What is love actually? I mean, I know love is an emotion, right? What does love mean though? People say "I love you" all of the time but I have no idea what love really means now that I think of it. I think I love certain people but then what if my definition of love is wrong and, really, I have a totally different feeling toward those people than I thought?
Anyway, what is love?
To be completley honest on this one, I believe that the perception of love can differ from one person to the next, to the next, and so on. There are most definitley people who show HOW they love one another in much different ways. This can also sometimes be know as language of love. For instance, a middle-aged, hard working man in today's society is more likely to show how he loves his family by providing for them by working to pay the bills and pay for the families needs. In his mind, that may be giving all the love he has to offer. On the other hand, a twenty year old young lady who is still single could show love in an entirely opposite way. If she has a boyfriend, she may be very attached to him and may want to be with him as much as possible. In her mind, this is her way of giving love; being with him. Back to the middle aged man however with his family, he may not tell his wife every opporotunity he gets that he loves her, even though he does with all his heart. I truely suppose it's all in how YOU show love, and theres only one way to find that out; experimentation. Pyschologists say that your late teen and early twenty years is the most crucial time in your lifetime to find out what you like and what you don't like about the opposite sex. Before you may have thought you wanted a boyfriend or girlfriend that would be with you all of the time, but then after dating a few times, you may realize you enjoy having a little more space than you first thought. It's all in giving it a little time and discovering what you personally like. I believe the language of love differs from person to person in this world, but I think love in general is caring for someone extremely deeply and passionatley. If you most likely ask anyone why they love someone and they give there most honest answer, there is a great chance that they would probably sum it up that they care for the person they love. However, some will reply.. I just do, I just love.. (him or her). Love is one of the biggest mysterys of all time in human history, and believe me when I say, I think we will never fully understand it. It's somthing extremely powerful and can only be achieved when the feelings are there. I really hope I helped you out! Dave :)
What is the minimum wage in the United States right now? My mom said it was like $6.55 but when I was working a job last year it was $5.85. My best friend says she doesn't know what minimum wage is right now, but heard it was going to be $7.25 soon but doesn't know exactly when that will happen.
I'm curious any way it is. What is the minimum wage right now and when is minimum wage going to go up in the United States? When the minimum wage does go up what will it be then?
THANKS!
Well I'm not completley sure as to when the minimum wage is supposed to go up next, and i'm unsure as to how much it will be when that does happen. I do know however, that the current minimum wage is $7.15. It's a little confusing as to how the minimum wage sytem works out. If you work for a small, family-owned resturant for instance and you recieve payment underneath the table (most of the time in cash, and not as a written pay stub), minimum wage technically means nothing to those managers. They can pay you $7.10, $5.00, or even lower if they really wanted. In most cases of payment being that low however, employees will try to migrate to a better, better paying job. If you want to be getting paid minimum wage hourly, you will most likely have to get a job at a corporate business such as McDonalds, car dealerships, etc. I'm not saying all small resturant owners pay under the table because that is not true at all, i'm just saying it is most definitley more common among them. I hope I helped satisfy your curiousity! Dave :)
Does anyone know about the supplement called stemulite and if they have any information about it
Stemulite is a relaxation herb that was created to reduce stress, and to help the supplement taker to get a better nights sleep. It relaxes your muscles and mind so you get a deeper sleep, and your body can regenerate and prepare for the next days lift. However, i'm a bit skeptical on the idea of this supplement. First of all, i'm generally not a fan of sleep aids to begin with. It is a pill that is making our brain release more hormones that will make our bodies tired so we get a "more relaxed" nights sleep, basically by knocking us out cold due to the drowsiness. These supplements mind you, are brand new, cutting edge technology, and have not been approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration.) What does this mean? Technically it means that is really shouldn't even be sold on the market. Somehow however, it is; the manufacturer works their way around the law so they can sell it and ultimatley make money. There's a reason that the FDA approves the products on the market, it isn't just for kicks and giggles. As I mentioned before, these "sleeping pills" are brand new technology. Say you take these pills for a good year or so, and say they work fantastic. You have a great, relaxing sleep that night, and the night after that, and the night after that.. and so on.. first of all, this is how an addiction to pills formulates itself. We basically teach our bodies and minds that we NEED it to go to sleep. With that being said, our mind is an extremely powerful device that we don't even know the full capabilities of yet. Just by our mind telling us we need it to sleep, we WILL need the pill to sleep. An example of this was a sociologist who did an experiment on people with the common cold. The doctor gave them pills to take, which he said was a cold medicine, and he told them they would be cured. Little did the subjects know that they were being given placebo's, otherwise known as a sugar pill. have a small portion of sugar and a digestable capsule, you've got yourself a placebo. AMAZINGLY, almost every subject was cured in a much faster time than they would have been simply waiting the cold out. The medicine was doing absolutley nothing physically, it was 100% mental. The mind literally instructed the body to get better and sure enough, it did, with no thanks to the placebo. This just goes to show that if you are sleeping great with this pill, you will sleep like crap once you get off of it. So how do you fix it? Take more pills! Anyone with a functioning brain can tell you that that is simply not the right answer. Second of all.. ...who knows that in 20 or 30 years down the line, your brain won't be messed up because of this supplement. WE DON'T KNOW, that's the scary part about it. Since it is so new, there is no evidence of chronic (or long term) damage from using it. If you start now, 20 years later you may very well be the example people are looking at to say "this product isn't healthy for me," but at that point, it's too late because you're already screwed up. It could be somthing as simple as your sleeping hormones not being able to produce correctly because they demand that pill to work, or somthing as complex as a section of your brain shutting itself down due to that pill. Overall, I say it is not worth the risk to take. The creator's of this pill may say it's the greatest thing in the world to make you sleep better, but in the end, what do they really care what happens to your body? As long as they are getting their money from you, the customer, they are sitting back easy and enjoying it. Sleep is sleep man, a seven hour sleep is the minimum reccommended amount to be dedicated when weight training to get the most out of your muscle rehabilitation during sleep. Seven hours, that's nothing! You can do it without having to take Stemulite before bedtime. Just thinking about the future really can make a difference in your decision. I really hope everything works out well for you! Dave :)
I have a horrible problem. I overeat a lot, compulsively, and I think I have binge disorder. It's usually only on days that I'm not doing anything, but I'll go to the freezer and grab a tub of ice cream and take it to my room and eat it all alone. I don't know why either, it's just an impulse I guess. I'm not depressed... I have a lot of friends and a boyfriend, and I'm not overweight, somehow :/ but I always feel awful after I do it, so I just keep eating junk food. How can I stop myself from doing this?? I want to kick the habit before anyone finds out about it, and before it gets worse, to where I start gaining weight.
Hmm.. I am inclined to believe that one of the main reasons you are doing this is because you are bored, sincee you said it is mostly on days where you aren't doing anything. So what do you do to fill some of that time in? EAT! This is where a great majority of eating disorders stem from. Simple boredom, being upset, or stress to our body in general can compell us to eat, mainly because food does make us feel good (at first at least..). Then, regret sets in after the eating is all said and done, and next time you do it, the same thing happens again. This is hwere the vicious cycle just keeps on going and going. The only way you can really stop this for good is to put your mind on the issue and tell yourself plain and simple, you need to stop. My first advice would be try to find a new hobby to get some of your time filled. Play an instrument, play videogames, exercise, partake in sports, the list goes on and on and on. Variety is the spice of life so switch it up a bit and you will never get tired of doing new things. Since you have a boyfriend, spend plenty of time with him. It's amazing what love can do for our bodies. Scientists haven't technically proven it yet, but they believe people who have a partner they are in love with can be healthier people physically and not only mentally and emotionally. I'm not saying a 300 pound alcoholic who has a wife he is madly in love with will be healthier than a single olympic sprinter, but I am saying that the good feelings tied to love can make us feel better, it's pretty amazing. Spend plenty of time with your friends too. If you don't want anyone to find out about this binge eating, then being with people all the time basically eliminates that from happening since you always do it by yourself. Try to get your body doing many things so it won't have to think about constantly getting in the next peice of food. As a precaution, ask your parents to leave the crappy food off of the shopping list. There is a HUGE chance that if the food isn't in the house, you won't be eating it. If you don't want anyone to know about this binging, I can hardly see you waltzing into the nearest grocery store and buying a tub of chocolate ice cream. Get the junk out of the house and eventually it will work it's way out of your daily habits and ultimatley, your lifestyle! Get your mind moving a bit, and I bet things will work out fine for you :) I really wish you best of luck with everything! Dave :)
okay so im wondering about the "Fat Loss 4 idiots" weightloss program thing. has anybody used this and does it really work? ive looked up reviews and all of them say that it does work but i guess im still a bit skeptical. and will it work for sumbody only wanting to lose about 7 pounds? i use to be really skinny but since its gotten colder and with the holidays coming ive gained about 5 pounds already and im guessing between now and january 1 ill gain about another 2-5 pounds and when the new year comes i want to drop it off quick before i go back to school and this "fat loss 4 idiots" claims that you'll lose a lot of weight within 11 days. will it work for somebody like me only wanting to lose about 7 pounds. by the way im 17 years old 5'3 and i weigh 120
I have never heard of the fat loss for idiots program before, I will just start off by saying that. I am however, VERY familar with the diet and exercise world. All I looked for in your question was the time granted that the program says you will lose the weight. Keep this as a general rule of thumb. Any supplement, pill, or workout that says it is easy, requires little effort, or is very fast, is almost 99% of the time, JUNK. The body is not designed to lose weight in the matter of 11 days, and the only way to do that is to follow unhealthy weight loss techniques which turn out to actually not be weight loss techniques at all, but eating disorders. There truely is no real fast workout plans that exist that are healthy, let alone that work. I personally believe that you should not have to rely on a pill to lose fat. All it takes is a time, and dedication. THAT IS IT, everything else comes from that. The term "stick to it, and you will do it" said once long ago, was very true. If you only want to lose 7 pounds or so, proper diet and exercise will have you losing that in less than a few months. Ingest a low carbohydrate diet, and stick to 100% cardiovascular exercise. NO WEIGHT TRAINING if you want to burn body fat. It is only natural to be skeptical of a program that says lose weight fast. Why? THEY DON'T EXIST. You can lose weight fast, but if you do, it ussually is not healthy for your body at all. There is the exception however. The bigger you are, the quicker you lose body fat when dieting and exercising. Say a man who is 450 pounds wants to drop the weight. He will lose ten pounds alot faster than you would if you wanted to lose ten pounds, simply because you only weigh 120 pounds; that is almost guarenteed. That's just how the human body is designed, and it's nothing you'd be doing wrong. Just stick to the diet and exercise, and that really is the way to go. I'm really hoping the best of luck for you and hope you achieve your goal! Dave :)
Ok I got my ears double pierced in September. About 4-5 weeks after I got them pierced they started bleeding. It wanted to close up I think? I didn't take out the earrings till about 6 weeks after I got them pierced. So I wear earrings regularly. My ears went normal. Now my right ear is normal and my left started bleeding again. But then it was kind of gross that white stuff started coming out of that hole. Is my ear infected? Is this normal? Or should I not worry and it will get better? I cleaned my ears with the ear stuff they give you near the beginning. And another thing is I can't wear fake gold or fake silver because it gives me rashes. So I only wear them every couple days. I don't think that would be the problem since my right ear isn't bleeding or anything. Thanks!
When you get your ears peirced, or anything peirced for that matter, your body's first initial reaction is to reject the peircing. Think about it, where there was once solid flesh, there is now a metal rod going through the center. Plain and simple, it really doesn't belong there! So what does our body do? It bleeds, it creates puss (or white blood cells, aka the gross white stuff) to try to fight off this new introduction to our body. HOWEVER, our body truely is an amazing device.. over time, it will learn to accomidate this new metal rod, and make it, while not directly, but indirectly a part of our body. It's truely incredible! So to answer your question, I would not worry about it at all, it is only normal. :) My only advice is to make sure you keep cleaning your peircings with the stuff they give you at the peircing shop. What this will do is kill any bacteria that could make the "infection" worse, and limit your chances of getting any harm done to your body. I also reccommend that you don't remove your earrings at all, or at least as much as possible. When this peircing first occurs, your body instantly goes into a healing mode and is trying to repair that new fresh hole. Keep the earring in, it simply can't! Annd not to be repeatitive, but once again, our body is an amazing creation. Give it a little time, and it will accomidate for that earring being there, and it will literally, "make it a part of you." Keep it in, and keep up the cleaning! If it means anything, I have both of my ears peirced and when I first got them peirced, they bled and produced puss like no other. That was 5 years ago, and today, i'm still wearing earrings with no problems :) I hope this helped you out! Dave :)
So my boss and I have an oddly close relationship. He's 30 and I just turned 18.
so it's legal, and that isn't the issue.
We always tell each other about our boyfriends/girlfriends, and everything. We even tell each other the details of our sex life. He's in an extremely bad relationship and I'm single. He told me he was going to quit soon.
And I was just wondering how to take this to the next level? I mean without being extremely obvious, in case I am completely misreading the signs.
I really don't want to burst your bubble hear, but as long as you are working for him, I would not reccommend taking it to the next level. Work realationships can be an absolute disaster if they fail, and in some cases, even if they work. I can see a work relationship being ok with just a fellow co-worker, but even that is a risky thing. But with a BOSS, absolutley not. Think about one day at work, if you are in a retail business, say a customer gets angry at you. Your boss, or in this situation, your boyfriend as well could take the anger personally toward you simply because he cares for you. So he snaps at the customer and he gets reported to corporate offices, and has to go through alot of crap just to work the next day, and even if he does, he'll still be on bad terms with HIS boss because of his slip up. Not a good thing at all. In your case of being hurt, he may order you to do a task and lets say you don't do it. A good boss should be assertive with his employees, so lets say he scoulds you for not doing your job. It would hurt alot worse to take a slap on the wrist from someone you love rather than just someone you work for. In the WORST case, lets say you did go out and then broke up. Things could (and most likely would) be awkward at work. Say you two made it far along enough in a relationship you had sex. Nasty rumors could come about and really make your work day a living hell. The worst part is people will most likely believe what they are told because they knew you two were dating. Even legally, your boss could decide to knock off three hours from your schedule every week.. or even more than that, and be perfectly in the right-of-way for doing it, no questions asked about it. I'm not saying do not do it, if you want to that is your choice and that is understandable. But for real, look ahead into the future and think about the problems that could arise from this. If you aren't planning in staying in that job for too long, I would say go for it if that's what you really think you want. If you plan on working there for a few more years or so however, I say it's not a good idea.. if you really want to take it to the next level, you just have to treat it like a normal relationship. If you are being "too obvious" that probably means you shouldn't be doing it in the first place, that's just what our instancts are telling us. Love knows no boundries, and if you feel that you truely can't tell someone how you feel about them, i'd have a gut feeling they aren't meant to be! Whichever path you decide to choose, I really am wishing the best of luck for good things to turn out from it. Hope you have a good holiday and I hope this helps you out! :)
I want to join a gym but don't know if to join a woman's gym or a Co-Ed gym.........
People tell me to join a Co-Ed gym since I might meet some guy friends but this one woman's gym offers a very good deal.........
Any suggestions?
To be honest with you, having a gym membership is about one main thing; going to the gym, and getting into shape. If you would like to join a co-ed gym to meet men as well as women, there is nothing wrong with that at all. Just ask yourself the personal question, "Why am I going to get a gym membership?" Only you have to know the answer, and you don't need to explain it to anybody. If you simply just want to get in shape, it would probably be a wise descision to just go with the better deal on the women's gym. If you want to make friendships as well as work out, then it depends. There are plenty of places to meet new men and women, places that you don't even need to pay for. You must ask yourself if the extra bucks will be worth it. You must also take into account that even if you join the co-ed gym, alot of the men there will be working out; sometimes into it too much that they won't even realize you're there. However, i'm sure there are quite a few that go to the gym solely to meet women, as well as do the occasional two pound dumbbell curl. You just never know until you try the gym out I suppose. See if you can get a visitors pass to experience the gym first hand, and see if you could see yourself there. A good majority of gyms nowadays offer limited time free trials because they figure if you try it, you will essentially buy the membership. See if you like it and go from there. One more consideration I would take into account is conveniance, or, would it be realistic to go to this gym everyday to work out? If you have to drive 10 miles to go to one gym, and walk a block to the other gym, which one seems to be a better choice? Plus one gym may be closer, but you may walk in and see nothing but dumbbells and free weights, when all you want to do is a run on the treadmill. Make sure you look into what you are buying before you buy it! I hope you make a good decision and that everything works out for you! Dave

i'm constantly tired. i normally get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night but when i come home i like have to take a nap everyday because i'm so tired. i feel like i could just sleep all the time. it's kind of annoying so i was wondering what could cause this? and what i could do to help it?
i'm a vegetarian by the way if that could be it or something.
Well for one your age will really say alot about how much you sleep. The average teenage female (and males even) generally need plenty of sleep to re-fuel their hormones and help their bodies continue to grow and function how they are supposed to. Sleep ,or the lack of sleep rather, is somthing that is really not taken seriously although it most definitley should be. If you are sleeping 7-8 hours of sleep at night, yet you are still tired when you come home from school, there is no other simpler way to tell you you are tired! The answer to this problem? Sleep more. Make sure when you are sleeping however, you have absolutley no distractions halting yoou from getting a good nights rest. Make sure your TV is turned off so your mind can be at ease while you rest. Also, make sure you have a pillow that is comfortable for you. An old worn old sack of feathers falsely called a pillow at times may very well be disabling your body from getting into a full state of relaxation. When it comes to desperate measures (I say this because it may not be the cheapest way to get a good night's sleep), the right matress can make or break a good sleep. If your matress is old, worn out, or just plain uncomfortable for you (too firm or too soft), theres a good chance that you aren't getting as good of a rest as you could be. If you buy a new matress make sure you lay on it, and select the most comfortable one. We are all different, if your best friend thinks one matress feels best, your opinion could be entirely different than hers, so make sure you try it before you buy it! As far as being a vegetarian, that should not affect your sleeping. There are plenty of vegetarians, even vegans that sleep a good 7 hours and are plenty energized for the next day. My only suggestion is make sure you're still getting your vitamins (especially B vitamins) and a still a healthy amount of protein, somthing that is mainly found in meats. Proteins are responsible for rebuilding your muscle tissue and keep it functioning. Possibly a deprevation of protein can keep your muscles tired, and quite possibly bringing your energy down as well. A perfect substitute instead of meat for protein are nuts, soybeans, and dairy products such as cheeses and milk. They are all rich in protein, and all without the sqwawking, mooing, ooinking, etc. :) For the most part though, your a teenager. Your body is still doing amazing things 24/7 to keep it growing and functioning. If you're doing everything you can to help improve your sleep but you are still tired, just do your best to be patient and ride it out; it won't last forever. :) I hope everything works out for you! i want to get a paint job for my carr. my mom said it might cost from about 200-1000 dollars, but that's alot! anyone who might be sure about the price, know how much it costs? might as well buy a new carr, haha. i want to have it painted metallic purple [:
Your mom basically hit the nail on the head. It would be extremely rare nowadays to find a paint job less than 200 dollars, actually lets call it pretty much impossible as long as you're not doing it yourself. Body shops will charge you for the paint, the clear coat (the shiny layer that goes on after the actual color), and worst of all, the labor. To paint over what you already have, you must have your paint prepared by ussually scuffing the old paint so the new layer will adhere to the old one. Technicians charge a ridiculous amount of money per hour to have your car worked on, and an overall paint job won't be very speedy. With a metallic purple paint.. you'll easily be over the 500-600 dollar range for paint alone. It will cost you quite a bit trust me! As for the comment on buying a purple car.. that actually isn't too bad of an idea.. the body shop is somthing you'll want to avoid if you don't want to spend alot of money. Hope this helps you out! Dave
ughhh! i am so angry! dont you just hate it when people you want to like you, don't. i use to be friends with this guy and now, im nothing to him.
how would you deal?
When you read this answer, you're probably going to think that i'm insane for even saying this, but I can almost guarentee that this will work. When dealing with love, the majority of people want a partner that isn't TOO clingy or needy. If you text or call him all the time and he does not text or call back, he probably feels that you are being to dependent on him. If you try to avoid texting or calling him for one day, theres a 90% chance he'll grab his phone expecting a message from you, and when he doesn't see that message he'll think that may be prety strange. Wait until he texts you, don't bombard him with texts yourself. Although it may not seem like it, most people generally like a partner that they have to "work for." If you just give it all away, it may seem a little boring for him. Make it a challenge so you become the one with the upper hand and not him. I know it sounds absolutley crazy, but it works almost all of the time! Trust me as a guy, when a girl that I like discontinues sending me texts all the time.. it drives me nuts! It really makes me want to call her and say I miss her. Well I really wish you the best of luck on this one, hopefully he gives you the attention you deserve! Dave
you know how people say that anger towards animals etc is the first sign of psychotic behaviour? i think i can see that in myself.
what do i do?what is the second sign?
I would definitley try to ask somebody for some help, such as someone you know and trust that is older than you. Most of the time, kids that express anger towards animals have troubled youths, and the anger stems from that itself. If you watch this show on ID Discovery (Investigation Discovery) called Most Evil, it talks about many serial killers and how many of them started at a young age by killing animals. Then eventually, they would move on to people. I would definitley check out that show to see if you can relate to anybody's symptoms on it. It actually is a very detailed showed that is pretty informative about "why killers do what they do." I would try to catch a few episodes of that, and I would also try to tell someone about it, even if it is a school counselour or somthing like that. I hope everything is goes well and you are ok! Dave
Ok, so this spring I didn't play any sports, gained some weight, then went to Italy and gained LOTS of weight. A week ago I was 5'5" and 142 pounds. I started this plan on the day that I weighed myself and I am so proud of how I've stuck to it! I'm eating plenty (1200 calories at the very minimum) and exercising enough that each day I have a 1500 calorie deficit. That's almost half a pound a day! I should be losing weight! After the first day I was 139, and now after spending a week trying so hard, I'm 140! I don't understand how this could be. I know my body is looking better than it did before, i'm happy with the results so far, but I don't know why it wouldn't show up on my scale.
I've been doing a lot of cardio and weight training, and I know my body isn't doing that "starvation" thing people talk about because I'm eating enough, so what's the problem? should I just give up?
You should NOT weight train at all if you want to lose body fat. Since you are eating pretty good, the only reason why I could see that you gained a pound is because of your weight traing, possibly a slight buildup of muscle. To burn body fat, you must eat a low calorie, low carbohydrate diet, and do extensive cardiovascular exercise with little to no weight training. You're right about the whole yo-yo starvation thing about your weight gain, because the only way that you could've gained weight by that heory is if you splurged after a low calorie day. I strongly advise that you cut out any weight training that your doing, I personally believe that is what's holding you back. Stick to cardiovascular exercise such as running, jogging, hitting a punching bag, anything that speeds your heart up, gets your body sweating and gets your body breathing at a rapid rate. Hey I really wish you the best of luck with your diet and exercise program! Remember though, your already winning the battle because you have the willpower to do what you are doing. That my friend, is most definitley more than half the battle. Good luck! Dave
ummm... Well iam 15 and iam very vainy in my whole arm area when i raise my hand up the vaines go away but when i put my hands down they show up again. There not just small blue vains too their big and pop up like you can touch them. by the way iam a male.
So what's your question? If your asking how to get rid of them, you can't. Veins are genetic, unless people take supplements such as nitric oxide to make them appear bigger (such as bodybuilders.) The only way I know of that you could make them appear les visible is gaining body fat, somthing that I really wouldn't suggest you to try and do. Don't worry about it though, to most people, large veins are seen as a gift, mine aren't too large, but I wish I had bigger ones that protruded more. Hope everything works out for you man, Dave.
