Guys love to be complimented on their looks..so show him your pic and then have him show you a picture of himself. Tell him he has nice eyes, or nice hair. Don't be like, "OHhh you have nice eyes and hair and I like your butt" or something like that haha. If he makes you laugh, put "haha you're too funny" or something. Put the little smiley faces, and then ask him for his number. He'll start to understand that you like him.

The only way you can earn her trust back is to stop lying. Don't talk to guys behind her back, or just tell her that you're just friends with the guys you're talking to. She has a reason for everything she tells you, and you should respect her opinions and rules. Everybody lies once in awhile, so just try your best to listen. I used to lie a lot also, but I realized the hard way that what we she said was right, and I was wrong for not listening in the first place. i want to get a puppy who gets along well with people and other dogs because i have an older dog, too. i want it to maybe be a small dog and one that won't be outragously expensive because i am 14 and i would probably have to pay myself. any ideas on a type i could look into buying? thanks!

Golden retriever puppies get along with everyone, except they grow up to be kinda big. Malteses are adorable dogs though that stay tiny, and are just soo sweet. If you want a cheap dog, you should get one at a pound or shelter. You'd be helping an animal who needs a home, and it wouldn't cost much. Try looking it up on google, like type in "puppies for sale in" and type in your state. Good luck with your new puppy!

Tell your mother soon, if your sister doesn't. Your mother would have to find out sooner or later, and if she knew that you were also keeping it from her, she'd be upset with both of you. Tell your sister that it would be the right thing to do, no matter how hard it might be. If your sister won't, then I feel you should tell your mom. She has the right to know.

does a Chi straightner damage your hair? I want a good straightner that doesnt damage your hair at all (if thats possible lol) or doesnt damage your hair that much for under $40 thanks for your help!

A good hair straightener isn't under $40, so I think you should save up more money to buy a good quality one. The Chi hair straightener is what I've been using for about two years and I've never had a problem with it. My hair hasn't been damaged at all by it. The bad thing is, it cost about $200. In my opinion, it was worth it.

I'd say its good for friends to go out because you're already comfortable with him, but it could also lead problems to your friendship in the future, if you break up. I don't think you should have waited nine months, you should want a guy who'd like you right away and know his feelings for you, since you guys were already friends. You should just wait for whatever happens, take things one day at a time and don't think about what will happen to your friendship. Just have fun with him while he's your boyfriend and relax :]

I have a really big crush on my brother's best friend (we'll call him Tim). Tim and my brother are going into 9th grade this year and i'm going into 8th. Your age difference is no problem at all, so don't feel like he wouldn't consider dating you just because of your one-year age difference. Flirt with him whenever you're with him, ex. laugh at his jokes, look at him and smile, and use any exuse to talk to him :] It could be hard with your brother in the way, but don't tell him you like his friend and then have your brother tell him. Most guys like to hear it from the girl themselves that you like them (I've already made the mistake of having someone else tell my crushes I liked them before) and it would be immature to do that also. Just try not to be nervous around him and make friends with him.

I just Chi, because I have the thickest, curliest hair you can imagine. Chi straightens it right out and I can wear my hair either wavy or straight. I've been using the same Chi for two years and there has never been a problem with it, except once when I burnt my hand on it (but that was my own fault). Good luck with itt :)

If you're confident with your personality, then that's a really good thing! Guys don't want to hear when girls talk about themselves and say how much they think they're pretty, the guy wants to say that to them haha. You have a boyfriend, and I bet he loves you for who you are and wouldn't want you to change anything (if he did want you to change yourself, he's not good enough for you). Looks aren't everything in relationships, for ex. have you seen the show 'Next' on Mtv? When the guy doesn't instantly say "next" to the girl when she walks out of the bus, but then goes and gets to know her and realizes they just don't have enough in common, then he'll say next and want to move on to a girl who shares things with his personality. If you're eighteen, then dating a fourteen is against the law. Even if you both are 'in love' it's not good to go against the law. She's wayy to young to have sex if she is only fourteen, but I know even if I tell you that you're probably going to do it anyway, so use a condom. Don't take any risks, because if she gets pregnant and someone finds out, your butt could be going to jail.

Okay my friend is 14, soon to be 10th grader and her boyfriend is a senior. So she's having sex. Her parents don't know.. but she has NO problem flaunting it around everywhere.
She's doing it because she thinks she's in love and she doesn't want to be alone. Being alone is her biggest fear so she latches onto any good guy, you know? I've known her for 5 years and I've seen it over and over.
And a couple of people think her boyfriend is only in on the sex.

Let your bestfriend know that she doesn't have to have sex with a guy because she fears losing him. If that guy is a good person then he'll love her and won't care if they have sex or not. He should respect her opinion, whether she wants to have sex or not. If he's all about lust then there is no love in the relationship. If she fears losing him, she should talk to him about how she feels, instead of having sex, just so that she thinks this will make him stay with her.

He is only an 8 year old Boxer and healthy. But all day he hasn't drank any water or ate any food. I have noticed this stuff all afternoon and night. I can hear his stomache growl whenever he coils up his body. He doesn't like to just stand, he has to walk or lay down. He seemed dizzy when walking down the stairs. He has been throwing up a lot today, and once yesterday. (boxers are proned to stomache problems so that wasn't too abnormal). He has been burping a lot. Me and my mom had a lot of trouble trying to get him to drink water. He wouldn't drink from his bowl with tap water, so I filled a glass with fresh water. He drank from that. Then me and my mom poured the fresh water in his bowl and he wouldn't drink it. What I think the cause of his stomache pain is either:
-hes dehydrated and hungry.
-he has a stomache ulcer (we just got back from vacation last monday (a week ago) so he might be stressed out whenever we go out to dinner or something.)
-he just refuses to drink from the bowl.
-he just refuses to drink tap water.

Anything would do. Sorry it was so long. I rate 5s.

Call the nearest vet, look it up in a phonebook or something. I don't think many people on advicentors would know exactly what is wrong unless they're a vet themselves, or have worked with animals in situations like this. Call the vet and tell them exactly what you typed in your question and they'll know what to do. Sorry if this didn't help much, but good luck with your doggy :[

if you could change/improve anyhing about your school, what would it be? im doing this for a research class so responses are appreciated =]

I don't like how so many kids are getting beat up and really hurt by others in school, and they hardly ever get in trouble for it, which really bothers me. Some kids just feel like dying because of how much they're ridiculed (sp?) and hurt they are by other people. I also dislike there is no air conditioning, which can make school really uncomfortable.

okay.. so my hair is curly/wavy by nature
so when I go to school I always straighten it in the morning.

BUT now we have this school fieldtrip thing, means we go camp in tents for 5 days.

normally I was my hair everyday, But if I now was my hair I get curly/wavy hair because I can't bring my straighter along.

ARE there ANY other ways of straightening your hair without using an straighter or blow-dryer.. because I can't use like.. 'machines' if that makes sense..

Like the other person said, a straightener which uses battery. But I have really curly hair which I straighten, and I use Got2Be straightening hairspray (there is a kind you spray on right after you wash your hair, and then a kind you spray on right after you hot-iron straighten it) which will keep my hair straight for a few days, even if I shower and get my hair a little damp. You can buy it at a drugstore or grocery store, it's pretty easy to find. It's in an orange and pink container (both products look about the same). And just follow the instructions on the back.

Well its not about being too agressive with him (like don't say "go away, I hate you)..like if he looks over at you, look back at him for a few seconds, than look away. Then if he tries to talk to you, talk with him for a little while, and flirt with him, then walk away to your other friends. Tell your other friends you like this guy, and when this guy finds out about you telling your friends you like him, act as if you don't really, and just flirt to play around with him. But then you have to tell him you really like him after awhile of playing hard to get (don't just leave him hanging for more then a month), or else he'll think you're a tease and will forget about you.

I was browsing people's columns today and looking at the feedback I saw one that was rated a 1 and the person wrote your wrong he aint a pedophile your a bitch or something along those lines. I read what was wrote to her and she answered the question being asked very good. Why do people rate you a 1? I can understand if it is BAD advice, but when you ask for advice and rate a 1 most of the time it's because its something that they just didnt want to hear. 5's and feedback coming your way if you give me your thoughts on this.

Yeah, that's one of the problems with rating on this website. I agree with you completely, but even sometimes the answers we give don't help so that's one of the reasons they rate us low. But that's true, if it's not something they want to hear they usually rate us a 1 or 2 because they think they're getting back at us or something. Those people are just stubborn and want people's opinions to be agreeing with theirs.
