I was browsing people's columns today and looking at the feedback I saw one that was rated a 1 and the person wrote your wrong he aint a pedophile your a bitch or something along those lines. I read what was wrote to her and she answered the question being asked very good. Why do people rate you a 1? I can understand if it is BAD advice, but when you ask for advice and rate a 1 most of the time it's because its something that they just didnt want to hear. 5's and feedback coming your way if you give me your thoughts on this.

mystical_breeze answered Saturday June 24 2006, 10:26 pm: Yeah, that's one of the problems with rating on this website. I agree with you completely, but even sometimes the answers we give don't help so that's one of the reasons they rate us low. But that's true, if it's not something they want to hear they usually rate us a 1 or 2 because they think they're getting back at us or something. Those people are just stubborn and want people's opinions to be agreeing with theirs.
tasuki answered Saturday June 24 2006, 9:23 pm: The person was just very immature. If you see this, you can go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and report it. Now they have a link next to the rating so that it's easier to file a report.
EDIT - Don't rate everyone fives. Ratings are there for a reason; please rate me (and everyone else) what you feel we deserve. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
Razhie answered Saturday June 24 2006, 9:01 pm: There isn't really much of a discussion here. Rating a one for anything less then completely useless and/or harmful advice is ratings abuse and should be reported.
Ironically, I know precisely which question you are talking about because I received a one for my response to that particular fool, and I didn't report her. Partly because I didn't feel like whining about a rating that I fully expected, and partly because I hoped that some of the other columnists might get ticked off and figure out how the damn abuse reports work! I mean she even called them names! But noooooo, no one can figure out how to fill out a damn form!
Now the link to abuse report is right beside the rating, but guess what guys, that abuse form has ALWAYS EXISTED, for anyone who bothered to read the sidebar.
Mmm, I'm sorry, I'm a little irritated with the world today. My point is, if you see ratings abuse feel free to report it right here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

some people are just stubborn and dont like hearing things they don't like, even when its great advice!
beachpeach answered Saturday June 24 2006, 8:20 pm: I agree. Only like really offensive behavior and rude/discrimnatory behavior should be rated with a 1. Every body that ratse should give people a 5 even if it isn't perfect advice or the advice that people wanted to hear. I still thinkt that everybody hsould ge ta five because they took the time to help people they didn't know with problems that weren't their own. Personally i love giving advice so I don't mind if I don't get rated or feedback or anything but its always nice. If your not going to give somebody a reasonable ratnig (which might not ALWAYS be a 5) then don't rate them. [ beachpeach's advice column | Ask beachpeach A Question ]
