for one thing, you need to know that you're pretty too. You're just as pretty as she is! You need that self-esteem goin', gurl! Stop telling yourself you think someone else is prettier than you. That's why you're jealous. I'm always jealous of someone I'm not: like... Jennifer Lopez. She has a great body, beautiful face, and millions of dollars. I give it up because I know that I'm not her and I have to deal with who I am and what I look like. This may help you but it may not. I tried my best and that's what I would do. Don't tell yourself these things! Tell yourself that no matter what, you're always going to be you and you don't have to change your whole self to look or feel any better. You're still going to be you when you wake up in the morning and when you go to bed at night! It's O.K, though. I don't think I'm pretty but my friends think I am!

that, to me, seems horrifying! But the truth is... you can't dwell on it for the rest of your life. No matter what, you're going to get married and have kids. Just be thankful you're alive. Usually, people like him rape you... and then they kill you so you won't tell the police! You're still living your life... if I were you, I wouldn't pick anyone that KNOWS your exboyfriend. I would get someone who treats you right with respect and kindness that you deserve, someone who calls you just to say he loves you, someone who can't go a night without calling to say goodnight, someone that cares about so much that he willing to do just about anything to protect your life. That's what type of person you need. You shouldn't pick anyone that knows your ex because then, if that person breaks up with you, they'll probably go back to your ex and talk about you... trust me, you don't want that to happen. It probably won't but you'd rather be safe than sorry, right?

whhhhhhaaaaatttttt??? i got out of it but it is never logged off if thats what you mean... well, i had to get off the ohone because the other one died and it was 2:00 in the morning and my sister told me to get off the phone but i didn't... i stayed on with you for another hour and then, i had to go to bed because my mom woke up and told me i had to get off the phone, remember when I said my mom was coming? yeah... lol. btw, i put those little puff things in while i was on the phone with you like... 5 minutes before i said i had to get off. i swear... why would i not want to talk to you? that would be gay! lol well, this question will be in my advice column now so everyone will see it... i hate how it does that! ok... write back!

I may be JUST a 19 year old girl but I happen to be VERY experienced with this type of thing! If you know his address, send him a little gift or something with a card that tells him how you feel. If you DON'T know his address, put the card in his desk/table or whatever yall have. Put it somewhere where he sees it! Tell him to write back... when he does, tell me what he says!

Sure, he can lose weight and maybe change the color of his eyes and change his hair but he's always going to be him. Just because he's not everyone's "Prince Charming" doesn't mean that he really isn't charming on the inside. Think about it... make the right choice.

usually boys don't think you like them in that way. It's just your "shyness" kicking in. You get shy around boys... it's normal. I'm in college and I STILL get shy around boys and when a boy I don't even know walks by and smiles a weak little smile, I get a HUGE smile on my face and then, I feel like an idiot. It's just... your shyness... NOTHING ELSE!!! :-)

Well...
there is a way you can find out if he likes you. What I did was I got my friend to talk to him. Tell your friend to name a bunch of girls and not you first! For example: "a girl from ______ class," wait till he says something, "A girl _______ class," wait till he says something and then, have your friend name you and see what he says. If he says "Yes." have your friend name ONE more person so it's not obvious. It really works. It's also casual because your friend will name all these other girls and he'll be thrown off!
Try it! I guarentee it will work!

Really, truly, and honestly, there is nothing you can DO about it. I was once in this situation, except I was the one MOVING. I do know that is she's happy, you should be happy FOR her. Sure, you're going to miss her and it's going to be hard butit's not the last time you're going to see her. If she's just in another town, you can drive down to see her when it's Christmas break. If she's in another state/country, you can buy a plane ticket/drive down there in the summer. That's what I do with my friend, Heather, that I moved away from in 2001. Get email addresses, have her call you and plan a vacation where you guys both get together. It's going to be hard but it's NOT the end of the world!

Believe it or not, I was once just like you. I was always liking boys that I barely even knew and then, I would get close to them and start to like them. LOL. I'm 19, now but... Well...
I have never stole from anyone or any store but my dad told me a story when I was little that I laughed at... My dad and his brother Ricky went to Astroworld a LONG time ago and Ricky told my dad to steal and my dad said "No." but Ricky threatened him so he had to. He stole a red Astroworld hat from one of the little stores. He got put in Juvie (I don't know if I spelled that right.) for one day and one night. (24 hours). That's pretty serious. You also can possibly get a $500-$1000 fine for your parents and if you get caught, your parents are GOING to find out... think about it... if you get caught, you have to spend 24 hours in a jail where the meat is green and the veggies... aren't. It's gross. The bed is made of something that feels like stone. I don't think you want to do that... you shouldn't feel pressure from your friend. Just because she steals, you don't have to take the risk of getting caught and it will all be her fault because like you said, you only steal around HER!!! I hope to God for you to do the right thing.

He went out with all your friends because he thinks they're pretty/hot, not smart. However, he's shy around you because you're both. When he likes you, he shows signs like that. If you guys have a lot in common, talk about things that you guys both like, example, sports, T.V shows, or anything else that you could both relate to. When he sees you guys really DO have things in common, he'll start liking you more and more... and more. But... her'es the catch!!! He wants YOU to make the first move because he's too scared to do it himself. If he says no, check with him to make sure it didn't ruin your friendship with him. It shouldn't. Obviously, he likes you. I don't even know you OR him and I can tell already... IT'S LOVE!!! LOL :-P

Well, I'm a girl but I can still tell you what guys like and how to stop this "craving". I have a brother and trust me on this one, I know what guys like. Really, it matters on the guy. I'm not some kind of stereotype but not all guys like the same things in a girl. Some guys are sensitive and like intelligent, sweet, and smart girls while others like boobs, butt, and care NOTHIN' bout the brain. If you know a cute guy that you like, and you know him really good or semi-good, go for it, girl. If you have known the guy really well, you should know what he likes and wants in his girl but if you have only known him for about a month or two, maybe you should be careful. Making out isn't everything. Make sure you just make out with the right guy... getting your heart broken is really hard to take. Control yourself and don't make out with any objects; mirror, tv, etc, to avoid embarassment. Trust me.

If you don't "like him, like him", then, don't flirt too much. Flirt a little and let him know that you're interested in EVERYTHING he's saying. Make him feel comfortable being with you. Make him feel like when he's with you, he's free to say anything he wants without feeling like an idiot after saying something. Agree with him 100%, even though you disagree. That's what friends do. If he's quiet and shy, YOU start the conversation. If you have known him that long, he shouldn't be too shy. Make conversation. Ask him about things he's interested in like sports, television shows, or something like computers/technology. (if you know what to ask, LOL) Just make him feel like he's free to say anything about anything and still be liked.

Personally, I think you should keep telling her, and telling... and telling her that that guy is dangerous and you KNOW it, even though you have never met him. That's pretty awesome... Anyways, you need to tell her to get away from him. He's bad news, all the way. If his ex-girlfriend is preganant from him, no tellin' what he could do to your friend. He could rape her if she refuses to do somethin' he wants her to do. If he gets drunk at only 17 years old, that's IT! He's outa the picture! You need to tell her that Kayla (me) says to get her butt away from that little fella cuz one day, she's gonna have an accident with him or he's gonna rape her, take her to court, and then, be proven innocent!
Please tell her now... you could save her life one day... even if you aren't in the same state.
