stealing
recently my friend and I have been stealing a lot. it's like every store we go to, we almost always steal atleast 1 thing. we steal simple things, like make up, food, skin care products... when she first told me that she stole things with her friend a few months ago, I laughed at the idea and I couldn't believe they were so.. bad. but when I saw them in action, I realized how easy it was. I only steal when I'm with that friend, and even though now I'm better than her at doin it, I still feel extreme guilt sometimes. she doesn't feel any regrets at all. I kno I should stop, but I just wanna kno if any of you have stolen things and have gotten caught doing it, and what were the concequences. I will stop eventually... but it's really fun and easy. if my parents even found out, they would literally disown me

Okay, once i was in this store and got caught stealing. The lady flipped out and called the police. I got put in hand-cuffs and taken to the police station in the back of the cop car. Now i have to go to court!! Dont steal, cause you will get caught!! And its not worth it, especially cause nobody trusts me anymore.

You can get fined a lot of money. Even if the thing you stole was worth less than a dollar, you can be fined several hundred dollars. Stealing little things is a misdemeanor, so you can also get jail time (or juvenile hall time).

I have never stole from anyone or any store but my dad told me a story when I was little that I laughed at... My dad and his brother Ricky went to Astroworld a LONG time ago and Ricky told my dad to steal and my dad said "No." but Ricky threatened him so he had to. He stole a red Astroworld hat from one of the little stores. He got put in Juvie (I don't know if I spelled that right.) for one day and one night. (24 hours). That's pretty serious. You also can possibly get a $500-$1000 fine for your parents and if you get caught, your parents are GOING to find out... think about it... if you get caught, you have to spend 24 hours in a jail where the meat is green and the veggies... aren't. It's gross. The bed is made of something that feels like stone. I don't think you want to do that... you shouldn't feel pressure from your friend. Just because she steals, you don't have to take the risk of getting caught and it will all be her fault because like you said, you only steal around HER!!! I hope to God for you to do the right thing.

OKAY STOP HANGING OUT WITH THIS FREIND if you get caught by the alarms you could go to jail and also one of the ten command ments of god is to not still well a way to get your freind to stop is if you know a consequense then tell her and say you can still but i know what is right and if you get caught i am gonna laugh and blow her off all the stuff you stoll secretly take it back to the store and put it back on the rack and you wont feel so bad and guilty for doing it if you return the stuff.

well you shouldnt steal, you can get caught and get in A LOT of trouble .. you can get a huge fine or even be arrested depending on your age .. and eventually lying to everybody will get to you.

I aso used to steel. Although it usally was just junk food from a courner store I did see my self getting better and and I would steel more stuff. I would only steel with this one friend and it wasn't untill she moved away and my other friends got really mad at me for stealing, then i stoped. I know you say now that you will eventually stop but really you don't.
if you got caught stelling alot of stuff from a makeup store or something in a mall they may call the security gards. You will be banned from the store that for sure and depending on how classy the store is you could get anything to being banned, to getting the cops called on you to haveing to call you parents.
My friend who stole 24/7 got caught and banned and since then she has never stole again. I know it's hard not to steal with your friend but you either have to take control and let her steal or stop hanging out with her.

I remember when I was with some friends in 6th grade and we went to this store, It was a store back on the base here in Jacksonville. My friend decided to put some clothes on and try and walk out, unfortunetly yes she was a blonde and we were walking out of the store, And I was scared more then anything because ive never witness anything like that before. And the people that worked there came out and told her to go into this office. And she did and they searched her and looked and seen she had two shirts on and then little did we know they knew she took it and all they did was like took the shirt away and told her to never do it again. But ive heard like alot of people get locked up for shoplifting so its better to let your friends steal by themselfs because "If one goes down they all go down"!!!

I've stole stuff before, and thankfully we werent caught. We got lucky..You have to realize..the people that make those products have a family to support and when you don't pay for various objects there could be less food on the table for the manufactuer's family. Sorry, I don't have a story about when I was caught, but I thought that idea might help. Also, one of my friends stole from wal-mart and she had her face and information posted on a sign in the back of the store so the employees can see her and know she is banned from the store.Her friend's mom worked at the store and she was worried that she would see and not let them be friends anymore.It will go on your record and no matter how good you are after that it will always be there and you can't do anything about it except change now. I highly recommend you stop stealing or you'll have to find out the hard way.

that's horrible! thou shalt not steal! if you get caught, you will get into a LOT of trouble. even if it's something cheap. my friend stole a 5 dollar item and got caught. even though it was so cheap, she had to go to a 4 hour class, about community crap, go to court, and do 100 hours of community service! all over some 5 dollar toy! it's not something to be bragging about, and this doesn't sound like the kind of person anyone should be hanging out with!

The consequences?
Well, first of all if you are caught stealing they will more than likely slap you with a fine thats a lot more than the items value. Thats just the fine enacted on you.
However, it goes deeper than that.
And that is, the money doesn't go back to the store. So the price of the next batch increases to make up for lost profits. So you keep stealing until the product becomes unaffordable then you HAVE to steal it.
Meh. Take an economics class and get some sense kleptomaniac.

I apologize, now I understand WHY you have to go and steal things with your friend. You snap at people for telling you to do right things so obviously you do bad things because thats the only group of people that accepts you.
