I am twenty-one, soon to be twenty-two, and currently work in a loan servicing department. I truly enjoy my job, as well as college, in which I am reaching my last year to receive my degree. I am an outgoing person whom loves to have fun, be with my best friends and family, go shopping and most importantly, helping others.
Helping others has always been my passionate, from a young age I knew that I wanted to help other people and be a great influence in making someone's life turn for the better. Okay so I'm usually an 'A' student but 8 months ago my mother died and I've really been depressed for a while. I just started high school (9th grade) and my first semester grades were four B's and three A's. And now I realized that I really need to pick up my grades. I've always wanted to go to Harvard and since everything that has happened...I haven't been paying much attention to school. So if I get all A's for next semester and the rest of my three years do I still stand a chance of getting into an Ivy League school? (link)

Hello, I'm very sorry about your mother, and I completely understand what you're going through, along with your grades. I've been there, except it was my dad who passed away. And in middle school I just couldn't focus on my grades, but now I'm in high school and I realized that I definitely had to get my act together. I'm fortunate enough to be able to deal with the death of my father now, and I hope it's getting a little easier for you now. I know it's something you'll never forget, it's just about finidng a way to deal with it.
I have to say as far as your grades now, I think they're really good, but I know that you have to have exceptional grades to get into an ivy league school. To answer your question, yes, if you got all A's for the rest of high school, I'm sure you would stand a very good chance in getting into an ivy league school. I don't think a few B's would hurt, if you get some. Just be sure to always try your best, and as long as you're doing that - you're on the right path.

Well my BFFs are like all getting boys now we all are and i n otice that we are ignoreing eachother and going to out boys. I really do'nt like it i miss them and as much as I like the boy I like i really want my BFFs back. So how can we still see eachother and still like boys. (link)

I have to agree with YG, a girl's night out is the perfect idea! Get together on a certain day each week, and make it totally "No Boys Allowed!" You can plan lots of fun stuff to do, and have a blast with each other. That way, you don't lose touch. Here's some fun stuff you can do. =)

Absolutely not, kissing isn't a slutting thing to do. Slutty is a term reffering to someone who sleeps with just about every guy you can think of, and you aren't even close to doing that - so please, don't worry about that.

okay im not sure if this guy is playing me or not..
he was my boyfriend for 6 months and people made up rumors that i was cheating on him, when i wasnt, this girl told him that and she liked him and now there going out. (the girl is my cousin)
this guy has been talking to me and saying stuff everynight to me since they have been going out about how he miss's me and wishes we were together and he talks about how he miss's sex and shit because my cousin is i guess prude..
last night me and my ex were at a party and we only went to 2nd someone walked in.. and hes scarred someone will tell his girlfriend(my cousin)
he asked me if i miss him and i said of course and he said he missed me to but then he said "dont worry soon it will happen" but that same night his gf left him a comment and it said how much she loves him and he responded saying i love you more than anything and then the next day(today) he is still saying he wants me back..
so i have a couple of questions.
1. should i tell my cousin hes cheating on her? ( even though its with me, i would want to know if someone was cheation on me, and i really do feel bad even though she is the reason why im not with my ex)
2. do you think this guy is playing me?
3. is it bad for me to still love him and want to be with him even though (he mights?) be playing me?
i just need some advice, or something.

1) Absolutely, your cousin has a right to know. Even though it's going to be hard to tell her, especially when it's you, it really is for the best. As you stated, you would want to know (as I would too) if you were being cheated on, so I think she has the same right.
2) Unfortunately, I do think he is. Honestly, I think he's only using you for sex. And you deserve better than that.
3) I think it's a bad situation all the way around, if you want to know the truth. Really, what do you love about him? He cheats on his girlfriends, he says that he misses the "sex," I mean, what do you see in this guy? I understand there's probably more to it than that, but you deserve better than that and so does you cousin.
I do wish you the best of luck, and please tell you cousin. She has a right to know.

Yes, it would be possible for them to like you again. It's funny how people's feelings can totally shut off, in a split second. But that doesn't mean that there still isn't something there, that they don't care for the person. As the previous columnist stated, it depends not only on the person, but it depends on the relationship or how deep the crush was that a guy had on you.

I have REALLY oily skin, and bad acne. In the morning after i put on coverup and stuff i look really closely in the mirror and can see my pores, and then ill take a "clean and clear oil abosrbing sheet" and press it up against my nose and it has single spots of oil from each of my oil glands! (or pores or w/e) It's driving me insane how bad my oil glands and pores are! I need help, fast! What can I do to stop it? (link)

im not shy at all and i have no problem talking to people. now that i started high school i want to branch out and make a lot of friends. i talk to alot of new people but i dontknow how to take the talking to the next level and like start hanging out with them. i still am kinda intimidated because the girls i want to be friends with are kinda popular and i dont want to feel like an idiot asking to go somewhere. i cant have a party or people over cause my house is weird and doesnt have a place for people to hang out. i really really want new friends, i just need some help (link)

I have a lot of belly fat and other fat too but especially my belly. I also have huge hips and buttocks. I'm not obese but I just have a lot of unattractive-looking fat. All right. Here's what the problem is: I really really really really want a dog. I've always (since I was born. Literally.) loved dogs with all my heart. But we've always rented houses which didn't allow dogs. Now we finally bought a house and my mom still refuses to get a dog. She nor anyone understand how much I really need a dog. You may be sitting here reading this thinking, Oh poor little spoiled girl. Her mom won't get her a dog boohoo. But the problem with that is, I'm not spoiled. I never ask for anything and when I do, I don't get it.
Just please, do you guys have any ideas on how to get my mom to let me get a dog? I've already tried basically everything, hence why I came to advicenators. I'm willing to try anything.
I've already listed off the reasons why I should get a dog, proved how well I can take care of one, and found the perfect dog for the family online. I'm just hoping you guys would have some better ideas. :/ (link)

Not to go off subject here, but I think it's understandable why they were upset and he was upset, that you called him "emo." I'm sure you would be upset if someone sterotyped you, as well. But my best advice is to tell him you're sorry, and try getting to know him more.

I've given my boyfriend little gifts before such as stuffed animals and things i have made [a bear, cards, bracelets, etc] I really want to buy him something good for our first christmas together.
But sadly, I have a very low budget and I need some ideas to get him. Then there's our one year together, valentines day, & his birthday all into one month in that order. So What should I give him gift wise [nothing sexual haha]? I want to give him something amazing for our one year but I really don't know.. I was thinking of a scrapbook and something else..Valentines day I don't really know what guys want. His birthday.. would a giftcard be good ?
