Jesus, I just got back from the Spelling bee. I had been studying like a fiend the night before (From 4:00pm-10:00pm), I had the whole Paideia memorized, and I was almost sure that I would be headed for Washington D.C. in a few months. OMG! GODDAMNIT! It was the first round, and they gave me a really easy word, and I completely forgot the word. The word was "notary." Isn't that an easy word? I bet everyone here can spell that word. I just blanked out on that word and forgot. They rang a little bell, and that signified that I was the 4th person out on the 1st round. I suddenly remembered how to spell the word when they rang the bell, but it was too late. I lost.



All of that hard work----flushed down the toilet. If it weren't for that stupid word, I know I could have won. I have never lost a spelling bee in my life. I need to talk.

Anyone who at least tries to make me feel better gets a 5

Don't sweat it. I was pretty sure I'd be in DC, too, but then I got out here in Los Angeles and placed 16th. =[. I know that I did my best, though, and that should be what matters.

heyy.. i want to be a singer or a model.. people say that i should get an agent to like set me up for different record labels and modeling agencies and stuff

i wanna try both and the one i get more successful in, i'll do.. but my question is.. do you have to get seperate agents.. like a music agent and a modeling agent or do agents just help and set yu up with all that kinda stuff

Okay. To model, you need an agent. It is almost impossible to become a model. Being a model is about more than just a pretty face. To get signed with a recrd label, you need to make a demo, and get an agent and have it sent to an agency my your manager/agent. You can't just send one yourself. If you aren't a size 0, and at least 5'8'', you wouldn't get booked for runways. Maybe you'd do catalogs, but that's highly nlikely. I suggest pursuing other talents.

I have a little bit of fat like above my hips. I think they're love handles, lol.
I'm doing crunches and situps and stuff. I wanna know, will those work to get rid of that, or is there some trick I don't know about? I'm not doing leg lefts - should I start?

Mmkay. Regular situps and crunches don't work there. Lay on your back and sit criss-cross-aplesauce (haha!) wight your feet in the air. Do crunches, but tough your left elbow to your right knee and vice versa, so you're going diagonally. This woks your obliques. :)

How can I gain weight and get well bigger breasts and stuff.

If you gain weight, the last place it goes is to your boobs, just to let you know.

Eat more calories than you burn, and you will gain weight, I'd talk to a doctor or a dietician about it, though.

okay i have longish red hair and have been wanting to dye it for the past like 4 years and i've highlighted it, put in lowlights and finally come to the conclusion that i just need to dye it a different color all together.. i tried asking my friends what color i should dye it and they all say "don't dye your hair! its such a pretty color!" but i dont like it and i think its more important for me to like my hair than other people.... anyways enough blabber...
i have light skin with freckles and greenish blue eyes, and i have not the slightest clue of what color to dye it and i need help deciding what would look best on me

well i really would like to become an actress. i know there are probably thousands of girls in the country that wants to, so if you reply please dont tell me anything like that or anything negative.
heres are my strengths:
-i can be very dramatic
-i can do different voices, and im good at impersonating people
-im good at memorizing things
- and i just love to be someone different and hear different stories

weakness:
- i can be extremely, extremely shy around people i DONT know



so my questions are:
1)is there anything i can do to get over my shyness?
2) should i start out with headshots? im not really sure..

Well, my career was ruined becuase I was shy. If agencies ever think that you're the least bit shy, they won't represent you.

You shouldn't have to pay for a eadshot. The agency will, if they are going to represent you.

Plays and movies are VERY similar. If you don't like plays, the acting probably isn't for you.

Im 14 almost 15 and I havent had my first kiss yet. Is that okay. I understand that a lot of people have had their first kiss like younger or sumthing. Is it okay that I am waiting for that right person. I dont want the guy I have my first kiss with to be all like wow you havent had your first kiss yet and all. I think that it's stupid to have in when your ten years old playing Truth or Dare. My first kiss will be amazing becuase I know that I'll really like the person that it's wit, and it will be so special. Don't even waste a second fretting over whether or not you're abnormal, per se, for not having it, becuase you aren't. I hope that your first kiss is meaningful!!

This is a question for the girls. I have to wear white pants tomorrow at school and just my luck i got my period today! And of course when i get my period i get paranoid about having leaks. My sister has tampax pearl tampons that are super and i dont think thats the size i need and i cant get ahold of her to ask. But my question is which is better to prevent leaks pads or tampons?If tampons which is best to use? If any of you use tampax pearl have u ever had any leaks? Thanks a bunch!!

Wear both. Tampax Pearl tampons are the best.

Super ones are bad for you, though. Use regulars and change them often.

Today, actually, I just randomly started talking to a boy that's soo out of my league you have no idea. He turned out to be really nice and we were walking and talking while we walked from class to class.

I asked him about a recent event that we were both at, but that I didn't get to see the end of. He was there until the end, so he was talking to me about that. I would never be friends with him if I hadn't just started talking to him.

Ask this girl if she did her homework, or what her poster looks like or whatever. Hopefully, she's really nice and you two will hit it off!

Most girls are really nice if a guy approaches them. I know that I am. Today, I was out and it was a table of girls and a guy just sat down in the middle. We kinda knew him, but still.

Lots of girls understand how much it takes to talk to us. I am scared to death to even SIT by a guy I like, let alone talk to him.

Most people go through a phase when they aren't sure of their sexuality.

In a year, if you still feel this way, then you are probably bi, but even then it's not for sure.

I just found out that a distant relative who passed away has left me an 800 dollar inheritance. It may not sound like a lot but to me it is. I should be getting the money within the next month.
I would like to purchase something with the money. I don't want to blow it on clothing or CD's or DVD's. What would be something that I could buy that would be a wise purchase? I already have a DVD player and a computer.

I would invest it, and then you'll have more money. I would probably use it for a car or furniture, but that's just me.

I am in a similar situation, except my money is from my Bat-Mitzvah and it's about 4 times as much as yours. I'm saving it, and it's gaining interest, and then I'll probably buy a car.
