any ideas on how to make an outfit not look so boring? i usualy wear jeans and a long sleaved shirt but all my long sleaves are so plain.

Right now, I'm a huge fan of layering.

I'll wear a ribbed tank top nuder a shirt. I have almost every color tank top, so my look never gets boring.

Also, try skirts and different jackets and shoes. These things can make your look better.

I don't accessorize too much, but a little bit of cooridnation is good.

Check out what the mannequins in stores are wearing! Their outfits are always coordinated.

My room is very plain.
let me give yu an idea what it looks like

blue walls, wood floor a larg wodden cabinet for my tv and computor, a pretty good size book shelf. wooden drawers for my cloths and 2 plastic drawers. Also I have a boxing bag. I get really depressed in my room because it seeems so depressing to me

My room is incredibly colorful and happy. My friends even say so.

Pick a focal point for your room. Mine is my bed. This is where the largest concentration of color should be. I have bright, sky blue walls. My bed has a hot pink comforter. I also have a blue shag carpet. If there is any way possible to get carpet, then you should get it. Also, you want seating in your room-mine is a windowseat.

I have pictures//autographs//posters all over my room to truly make it my room.

ok i keep getting these emails from Chase saying my chase bank account has been violated...the only problem is I dont have a chase bank account. Im not even old enough to have a bank account! IM 13! I suspect phishing becuase I got like 6 emails from them at the same time once saying someone tried to acsess my account, and then the first one I got from them saying my account has been violated, they spelled "been" wrong. I have yahoo, and i flagged all the emails I got. What else can I do? I have gotten a phishing email before, from someone claiming to be from eBay. ♥♥&heart;s

Yes, this is phishing.

You should report this to whoever provides your e-mail (AOL, Earthlink, Charter...) and they'll take the appropriate action.

Oh, and just so that you know, I've had a bank account since birth and I also have a credit card. I'm not much older than you are now.

I also suggest changing your e-mail address and using the BlueSecurity thing that DN put at the top of every page on Advicenators.

If you have an iPod nano that can hold 1,000 four minute songs, and you have 1,000 two minute songs, will your iPod let you continue adding more songs or will it stop at the 1,000th song?

It's measured in bytes, which is like storage. (This is from my extrememly limited computer history.)

If you have 2 songs that take up the allotted byte amount, then your iPod is "full", and you can't add any more songs.

If you have 2,000 songs that take up the byte amount, then that's okay too.

When I ask questions, how do I know that they're completely safe and some advicenator that's a mod2 could spread that I wrote the question? And when your question goes through, can they see your username?

The level 2 and level 3 mods are pretty much awesome.

If you think about it, everything has been asked once before.

And honestly, all of the mods (for the most part) are mature. I mean, come on, what are we going to do? Be like, "Oh, Marissa is a loser becuase she doesn't have a boyfriend anymore?"

I should think not.

Just trust them.

ok well i'm in 8th grade and for the end of the year trip we're going to a waterpark and like i wanna wear a bikini but i'll be soo self conscious in it. i'm like 5'5" and about 102 pounds or around there but i really wanna gain a few more pounds because my ribs like stick out and it looks weird. i'm not like super skinny and i mean, i eat, like A LOT. lol but i like don't gain weight. soo my question is, what can i do to gain maybe like 3-5 pounds by june? but healthy. thanksss.

What you need to do is build muscle.

Muscle weighs more than fat, and it'll give you more meat on your bones.

Eating more or higher carb foods won't help for more than a few hours.

heyy! soo i was wondering which would kill my hair less..like not giving it more split ends and making it unhealthy?! putting gel in it..as in scrunching it lol or straightening it? because i either have to do one of those each day and im TRYING to keep my hair as healthy as possible..because it just doesnt seem to grow and i am tryin to get it long! well thanks :]

Scrunching is better for your hair.

They make special products for that, though, I believe Pantene makes one. That's the one I use.

Gel isn't great for your hair (plus who wants crunchy curls)?

Straightening, though, with the proper products isn't much worse.

what SPECIFIC major is for somebody who wants to become a newscaster? (like reading the news on tv, radio, etc.) thanks!

Broadcast Journalism or Communications.

My mom was a newscaster here in LA and now she has her own radio station. (KNX 1070 AM)

She majored in Video/TV Communications at Arizona State University.

Keep in mind that you have to enunciate really well and also, unless you live in a big city, remember that newscasters don't make a lot of money.

i`m 14/f. i don't wear a "real" bra. i wear camosals with the built in bras. they seem to work good for me but i was wondering if you think i need a real bra. and if you could, state a reason why. thanks.

I like real bras better, and I'm your same age. Though when I run out of bras, I'll wear a cami instead.

I think that bras are more comfortable, and also make me feel more feminine. Maybe you don't want to feel that way, and in that case I would continue wearing camis.

Once you are an A cup (or a small B), I would switch to bras.

I think that you should be prepared to split it. Go together and get your tickets, and let him go first. See how many e buys. That should be a pretty big clue ;). Have fun at prom!

Lately I've realized that I haven't been eating as much. I'll be hungry but I just won't eat, maily because I don't want to eat. I am a very self-conscious person and I will willingly admit it. I know being anorexic is bad but sometimes I just can't help not eating. Sometimes after I eat, it doesn't matter how much it was, I fell really bad about it and regret eating. So do you think that I'm anorexic?

I'm sorry that some of these answers are so far from the truth.

If you continue these, habits, then you will become anorexic. Bottom line.

Keep in mind, though, that when you do begin to eat again, you will gain a lot of weight becuase your body will store fat which will be very hard to lose.

Might I suggest counseling?

Maybe even offer yourself a reward system-or eat your favorite foods.

14 almost 15/f. my talent is music, and i hope to become a professional musician one day. i play a number of instruments, and i love blues/jazz. i'm going to major in music in college. at some point in time i'd like to start getting in touch with recording studios and whatnot. have any of you ever had any experience with this, and how should i go about recording a demo and such?

Some answers you've gotten to this question are incorrect.

You cannot send your own demo to a music company. Frist you need an agent/manager. They send it to the record label.

If you don't live in either LA or NY or Nashville, you need to get there in order to find the best agent possible.

I lovee my current girlfriend soo much! SHe has been gone for 10 days on vacation with her parents to Canada. Last night I had two friends over. One is an ex who I am still good friends with. The history on us? It was a short 1 month thing. The classic friends giving the 'somethin more than friends' thing a try that didnt go well.
Well me and her were laying on my bed and my friend was next to us. Her body was not close to mine..but i was resting my head close to her and my hand was on her shoulder. I was extremely tired about to fall asleep. Is this cheating in some way to you? I mean i have other friends that are girls who will rest their head on my stomach while playing video games..and it is absolultey nothin romantic about it because we are strictly friends and both have different love interests and 'types.'
My ex thinks it was nothin..but should i tell my gf about this? If she ever found out she would flip out because she is extremely sensitive on the topic of me and my ex. She finds it odd we hang out because we are exes. *keep in mind its not like i hang out alonnne with this girl* I have a big group of friends kind of and we hang out together kind of thing.

I would tell your current girlfriend.

If she finds out from someone else, it will be a differnt story, and she'll be upset that she didn't hear it from you.

Also, explain to her that it wasn't romantic.

If she ever does anything like this, you can't care, though. Otherwise you're hypocritical.
