Hey! First off, i'm going to start by saying I came here on this site to give people advice. Some people actually don't know the real meaning of advice. They think its the answers they want to hear. But i'm not here for that. I'll give you advice, and it might be something you don't want to hear. But deal with it! You may take my advice or not, its completely up to you and you are not gaurnteed a correct solution.

Ok so now that's clear, I'll talk to you more about myself. Hence the username... I play volleyball. It is my passion and basically my life since I've played for about 7 years. Most of my friends say i'm 50/50 tomboy and girly girl. I LOVE sports!! I play volleyball all year round, and then I go to the park during free times to play some soccer, football, hockey, basketball or baseball with my friends. But then again, I could be inside trying on my new Sephora makeup i'd just gotten, or reading the latest Seventeen magazine or even arranging my clothes for school tomorrow.

You can ask me just about anything and i'll be happy to answer it. You can count on a full and detailed answer.

Oh and another thing... I love getting feedback! Even if its a negative comment. It tells me what I need to work on or even what I did correct.

BODY EXERCISES AND WORKOUTS! my way or the highway

advice

Hey. Well, volleyball tryouts are on the 15th-18th of August, and I am really nervous. There are girls that are going to be trying out who are really good and talented, but this is the first time of me really playing it. Do any of you guys have any tips on how to ease down and become less nervous, and on what to focus on if I want to make the team. Thanks.

What helps is listening to calming music. Just think of it as a really big practice. Try hard. And remember, the coaches are looking for talent, but also confidence, hustling, and spirit. Just focus on what you are doing. Coaches love it when you listen to them exactly what they say. Just remember, always have confidence, spirit and hustle.

i'm going to try out for my school's volleyball team this year.
i guess i'm pretty good,
but i still need to work on my serving.
do you have any tips as to how i can get better in serving other than to practice daily?
&& any other tips for volleyball is accepted, too.

working on your toss is the main part. Find a Cross on the floor, or just place tape in an X. Take a volleyball and practice your toss. Pretend you are serving the ball. Dont hit the ball.. just let it drop to the floor right in the middle of the X. do this a couple of times a day and your toss should be great. Then work-out your arms so you are able to hit the ball hard. Make sure you hit the ball on your palm. You can practice that by going really close to a wall. Toss the ball and hit the ball right into the wall. But make sure you are really really close to the wall, so then the ball doesnt come back at you. doing all of this will improve your serving skills.

My friend and I are creative people and we want to start our own clothing line (but we don't know how to sew or much of anything)...any advice? I was thinking maybe we could start an accessory line instead but I don't know. Any advice is appreciated.

Heres what I think, If you guys arnt good at sewing, take a few classes on how to sew and creat clothes. Dont rush everything, It all takes time. What you could do is start an accessory line first, then if all goes well, then start the clothing line. Go to places where theres alot of people, such as a carnival, then have a little mini store there.

I've been writing songs for a while, but never have really came up with anything I like. I was wondering if any of you have tips on how to make a good song. Also once the lyrics are created any ideas on how to come up with a neat tune to go along with it to complete the final song?

whenever I am bored, I also write songs but I never like them. So to creat a nice beat to my songs... FIRST i make the beat. Anytype of beat you like. Try using GarageBand ((only for Apple Computers)). Garage band creats really cool beats for anytype of music. Then after you have a good beat, start making up lyrics. hey, how do cuts work when you're trying out for a sport. like, do you show up and they tell you if you made it or not or how does it work? thanks

well for volleyball, we have the tryouts and then go home, and then in a few days they call you, or you check on the internet or the community center, and tell you if you made it or not. It kinda depends on what sport you are trying out for :/

I personally think the Nicole Richie one is cuter. But it is still your choice. The reason why i wouldnt choose the ashley tisdale one is because when you take a shower, or do sports, at the end your hair is sooo tangly and it takes a really long time to dry your hair and stuff. soo.. i choose nicole richie. But it is still your choice.

what is some good cardio that you can do to lose a few pounds, that you can do every day. besides swimming because i dont have a pool and i can't run long distances,i hate it. i ride my bike about a mile some days, but that's getting boring. thanks xo

work out! Do a couple of sit-ups, push-ups, weight lifting exercises. Eat little food every hour, not a huge meal and only eat 1 time a day. If you are bored, you can jump rope, jump on the trampoline ((if you have one)) or just play any type of sport. Walk/run/bike down to the park and play tag or a sport with your friends. Then take a nice cool dip in the lake or pond.

1m 14m and im always insainly jelous of other people. the most common is my step dad. i get rally mad at him somtimes because my mom spoils him and favors him over me and my mom always makes me work hard and can be really unfair to me. somtimes he asks his mom for money so he can get somthing like a scanner or an MP3 player and he does that like when ever he wants and i get sick of it. and when i try to fix it my mom says theirs nothing she can do about the relashinship of him and his mother. but she dosn't even try and when i talk to mike he says i'm keening on him and throws a hissy fit. i also get jelous at the smallest things. if someone gets a 100 on a test and i get a 98 i get jelous. i used to be insainly jelous of this girl brenda. she was pretty and popular and was smart and got good grades and didn't have to be a nerd to get them. were both in choir and she has a way better voice then i do and were bot ran to be on the student concil and she got in and i didn't. i don't know why im so jelous all the time. when ever someone has somthing i don't have or is happy when i'm not or has it better i get jelous. i dont wanna be jelous but i ca't help it. it's like it's apart of me. can anyone help me or give me advice on how to be not so jelous and become a better person.

whenever I get jelous, I just think of it as a competion. i am a very competive person, so I think to myself, "okay, the next test/chance/class...etc I am going to do great, and I am going to be better than _____." Just think of it as a compition. When your stepdad is always doing that, just ignore it and dont even think about it. In choir, just practice alot, so you can be better than that brenda girl. And on the tests, just study alot harder.

What are some good ab workouts that will help me see results fast???

sit-ups a few times a day are good ab workouts. For volleyball we have medicince balls ((10 pound ball)) and do exercises with those. Heres a site that describes how to do it.

okay well i'm 14/f and i babysit for my neighbors who have two girls who are 4 & 2. now thats its summer and i don't have school, i've been babysitting A LOT. it feels like they are overworking me! i'm always so stressed out when i have to go there. the girls can not share togother and then it ends up with the youngest girl crying. and when she crys she SCREAMS! i can't stand it. i'm always babysitting for hours and they are always late when they come home. they also aren't very considerate about me missing meals. like they will have me work from 4-7 and that is like right in the middle of when i would eat dinner, and all they have at their house is junk food. like over the weekend i was babysitting from 9:30 - 3:30. also i'm always worrying that the dad will get mad at me if one of the kids falls asleep. i mean they pay me good ( 8 dollars and hour ), and the kids love me, but i always stress out about going over there.

i don't want to stop babysitting for them, because that would also leave them without a babysitter. but i need ways to help me not stress out as much about babysitting. like this week they only told me that they will need me to babysit thursday from 5-6, but then today i saw the mom and she said that their oldest daughter who is 16 will be going on vacation this whole week and that they will need me to babysit tuesday, thursday, and friday from 9-1! omg and i'm already stressing out about it! HELP!!

While you are babysitting, listen to some calm music to help you not get stressed. Writing a letter or talking to the neighbors is one way. Telling them that they are overworking you. Just tell them exactly how you feel. you still want to work for them, but are stressed, tell them that! Medatation, spa treatments and deep breaths are also really good stress releivers.

i recently started taking voice lessons and my teacher said my voice sounds "cold" and is "too breathy" and i can't seem to fix it. i don't think i really understand and i need help figuring out how to acheive this. can anyone help me? thanks!

ok so i have a lot of discharge, and i have not had my period yet.well the discharge is ruining all my underwear. i live with my dad cause my mom passed away.if u tell me to get pads or something like that, tell me how to deal with telling my dad or how to get them.

If you have a friend, tell your dad you will go shopping with her. Then while you are shopping, buy some pads. if your dad is curious, just tell him its normal. its okay if he knows.

Can anyone teach me how to blow dry my hair straight? Like step by step or something like it. I DO NOT have a round brush, so please teach me a way that doesn't include one, thanks!

Well one way to get my hair straight is to not even dry it with a blow drier. Just dry it about 80% dry, then leave the rest dry naturally. It will make your hair straight. Another way to do it, is if you brush your hair straight, while drying your hair.

does anyone know how many times a week you should use a face masque. because i just bought this Mint Julep Masque and i don't want to overdry my skin or anything. so how many times a week is it safe to use a face masque?

I would say around 4-5 times a week. You dont want to overdo it. I have a masque and i just looked on the directions, it didnt say anything :/
again, you dont want to overdo it, but around 3-5 times a week is about enough.
