i'm going into highschool as a freshman and for a couple of years now i haven't been doing that good in school. i used to be an honor student and then i got hit with depression really bad and my grades fell to C's D's and F's and i always had A's and B's. I've been struggling since last year to get my grades up because i want so badly to become a doctor and i can't get my grades up. my delema is that if i keep struggling i want to hire a tutor for myself. normally i don't care what people think about me but i'm not sure what people would say if they found out that i had a tutor. i don't want to feel stupid. what should i do to make myself feel better about this?
Have you received treatment for your depression? If you haven't talked to a doctor I highly suggest you do.

I'm sbout 5'2" and weigh about 90lbs (I have a REALLY fast metabolism). Is it possible to gain any weight on my arms without getting any on my stomach? That's where all my gained weight goes. Could I be able to beef up my arms a bit?
A lot of women do multiple reps of light weights to tone their arms without bulking up, but in your case, lift heavier weights (but not so heavy you hurt youself!) to build up your muscles.

As you probably know, people don't like religion (or any opinions) forced on them. Upon hearing you're a practicing Christian, people might assume that you're going to force your ideas on them, or that you're going to be judgemental of who they are or what they do. I'm not saying you should be ashamed of or hide your faith: if someone asks what you believe, tell the truth. However, the best way to show someone you're a Christian is through your actions, not your words. Do the whole love-thy-neighbor thing and the turn-the-other-cheek thing, and you'll make a positive impression.

If used correctly, a condom is 95% effective. I can't tell you from memory how effective it si when used incorrectly, but it's a much lower percentage. If you're using condoms to prevent pregnancy, it's a good idea to use spermicidal condoms or a seperate spermicide, just in case the condom breaks.

A little less then two months ago I found out my cousin was raped and i've been having some trouble dealing with it.I'm really close to this cousin , she's liek my best friend.when i first found out i just started crying , i couldnt even look at anyone for a copuple days.That i had to cry myself to sleep.i used to live in a house with her in when i was younger,i lived on the bottom and she lived on the top.Whenever i think about her and her baby i cant help but cry and its so hard for me to look at her without crying.I cant help but think maybe if i hadnt moved away i would have been with her and i could have stopped the jerk who did this to her.I seem to be the only person in my family who thinks she can finish high school and still take care of her baby.i mean its her family thier supose to be supportive of her.She was raped when she was 14 and had her baby when she was 15.She was born about 3weeks ago.I still cant help but worry about her and feel like i could have done something and i should tell my parents to be more supportive of her and stop thinking so negative.I couldnt even talk to my best friend about this w/o feeling stupid so if anyone has any advice for me, please send it.
When someone you love is sexually abused, you become a victim of the abuse as well. You feel totally helpless and don't know what to do. Talk to a psychologist, school counselor, etc. S/he should be able to give you information on how to cope and how to help your cousin cope. Educate yourself on sexual abuse and the healing process, so you can understand what she is going through. Be someone with whom she can share her feelings, and be supportive (if she's feeling angry, let her feel angry, etc). Express your own feelings of compassion - there is probably nothing more comforting than a genuine human response. Believe her story, believe the amount of damage it did, and definitely do NOT sympathize with the abuser at all, or make her feel like the rap was her fault in any way. Help in any way you can: encourage her to go to counseling and offer to babysit when she goes, have a good cryfest (both of you), etc. I'm a rape survivor and it really touches me how much you care for your cousin and how much her rape affects you. when i was really little, like 4 or so, my babysitters son sat me on his lap and showed me his thing. he told me to touch it and when white stuff started to come out he wanted me to clean it. then he told me to leave his room. well me being young i did what he told me. i didnt kno it was wrong. then i told my mom and she was like dont say anything to anyone. and she didnt do anything about it! i am now gonna turn 14 in october and it has been bugging me since then. it hurts that my mom let me stay there till i was 9! nuthing else ever happened but i mean still. wut could i do to take my mind off of it? i am really happy now and stuff but when i stop and think it just pops in my head and thats the only thing that really stands out in my memoery. i remember it like it was yesterday.
I think your mom owes you the money for some therapy. She probably has some health insurance that can cover some of it, too. In the meantime, talk to a school counselor/psychologist/nurse. It's great that being molested as a child didn't ruin your life, but you may develop issues later if you just "sit on it."

If it's bad enough that it's interfering with your life (i.e. keeping you home from school) then you may want to consider birth control pills. For the time being, put your hands over your uterus and kinda vibrate them back and forth. A heating pad over your uterus or your lower back also helps. Also, there's a prescription medication called Ponstel that works very well.

Okay my little brother is sooo picky when it comes to eating. he doesnt eat meat what so ever. he lives off of chips and captain cruch cerial! Oh and I cant forget about candy! To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you're taking in. So if you're not going to burn more calories (i.e. exercise), you need to ingest fewer calories. Reduce the number of calories you eat per day, but make sure you're still getting proper nutrition.
