First off that's my special man friend with me way back from high school, and been dating now for almost four years now. Yeah he's pretty spectacular, and I love him to pieces, and that's all I have to say about that. I'm a full time college student and working on my gen ed, but I would like to get my bachelor's in gerontology and eventually get my nursing license. I am female, 16 and have my permit. I want my licence so bad, I want to go out and do things without my parents. Now, I'm not afraid to drive as much as I'm afraid that I'll get hurt or worse, hurt someone else. I don't know why, but I think about that and I feel like I never want to get my licence. But I want to be able to drive on my own I just have a big fear holding me back and I don't know how to get rid of it! Any ideas to help me get over this fear and just go do it, just go out and drive? Thanks

Haha! I can relate. I didn't get my license till the summer after senior year for the same reason. The best way I would say to get over your fear of driving is to drive with someone your comfortable with. Perhaps you could take driver's ed at your school if they offer it. My boyfriend actually taught me to drive because I got uber nervous and he made me comfortable. My parents would get upset over silly mistakes... Just gotta keep going. Good Luck!

20/f. Ok, I'll start off by saying that I'm VERY picky. I think it's even a miracle that I like someone because I never saw myself falling again. So, this guy is like my dream boy. He treats me really nice, we have a lot in common, he's very clean cut. He's SUPER cute! He always listens to me. Just perfect! My one major turn off is earrings. He doesn't wear any. Well, we both are in high school and he broke up with me saying "he needed time to get things in his life together". Like he's getting a job and his friends want to hang out and managing a girl friend is hard right now. But he also said "I still like you and if this doesn't work out again then I do want to be friends and you to be in my life". So I take that as he's willing to give it a shot again down the road? So it's been 2 weeks since we broke up and I've had all the opportunities in the world to hook up with other guys but I just don't! Yeah you need to move on hun. I had the same problem with my ex. We dated for 3 years and he actually dumped me after I waited for him for 4 mths while he was in the military. He's tried to be my friend ever since. As a result, I changed my number and blocked him on facebook. If you decide later on down the road to be his friend that's cool, but it seems right now the wound is pretty fresh (figuratively speaking). He had some lame reasons for dumping you... I know it hurts now, but you'll be fine. It's something all of us have to deal with. Of course it doesn't feel good but it's apart of life. :-)

I would love to become a social worker or a child pyschologist but im still in high school. I was wondering if there was any type of job I could get that is something to do with those two part time. Like something I could put for credits for this subject? Like a social worker assistant or something? And also what degrees would I need? And how long would it take to become either of these?

That is a very notable field to get into. However in order to get any kind of job in it you'll have to at least get a Master's. I'd like to include that they don't make much but as long as your happy with your choice that's all that matters.

That's a link I found. If you want to find more info google social work. And I'm not sure about putting anything towards your credits, but I think you should get your gen ed out of the way. Most high schools offer advanced placement courses that way you can get a few college credits out of the way like english, math, etc. You could get a job as a camp counselor and I know theirs plenty of volunteer opportunities. I figured I'd do a little research anyway because I'm considering this field as well. :-)

im in highschool 17/f and i need help with concentrating on my schoolwork. im so easily distracted!!!! does anyone know i can concentrate better so i dont fail??? thank you:)

What helps me from my attention wavering is to set a timer. Work diligently on your school work or studying for about 45 minutes and then take a 15 min break. Also if you text a lot; which I do turn your phone off. That's your study time and it is valuable. You can answer the texts when you get done. :-)

so im 15/f i know wiith all the hormones and what not im gonna get pimples but is there ANY way to stop them i dont eat that much chocolate and i hate peanuts i dont get SUPER pimples but occasional whiteheads and once in a blue moon a black head i hate getting pimples cause i just cant keep myselp from poping them but uggh it just drives me insane to have them there and after i end up with a huge scab on my face its embarressing

I've suffered from complexion problems almost half my life. You see adds constantly on the television advertising to buy this product, and then you try it, it works for a little while, and then stops. The best thing that has helped my complexion is a mild soap, keep your hair pulled back, and get sun. Vitamin D is a nutrient your body needs and not a lot of people get it. That and drink lots of water and exercise. What you do for your body that's good for it on the outside will help it inside and keep your hormones in check.

Also it's possible you break out during your period. I notice that with myself.
