So my boyfriend lives a few hours away and he says he's gonna send me my Christmas gift. It's just a few things he found that he thought would have some significance. I am completely clueless on what to give him. I don't want to get him something too much since it'd be through mail. So have any ideas? Thanks!

- Make him a mix CD!
- Send him a picture frame with a picture of the two of you in it.
- Make him a small collage of pictures of the two of you and things that remind you of him.
- Make up a small care package with snacks, a DVD, etc.
- Write him a personal letter to send with any of the above.

for my dry facial skin i drink lots of water, moisturize, and take a vitamin E daily. If i feel like i need to take a second vitamin in the same day ( which would only be 2 vitamins for that day) do you think its OK? the recommended amt is 1 per day. And i am a teen. Do you think taking 2 will be OK? by the way sometimes i have eczema on my face so thats another reason why i would want to take a second vitamin.

I had eczema really bad when I was younger, and my doctor was able to prescribe me an ointment that worked wonderfully. I still use it on occasion to this day and really recommend asking your doctor about it if your dry skin is severe. It's not a big deal at all, just a very helpful solution to eczema :)

Usually, I don't bruise easily at all. Lately, random bruises have been showing up all over me. Like on the back of my thighs, & on my shins. (Spelling may be off) Any idea what that could be from? Could I be lacking a certain vitamin or something?

Another thing, my cat scratched me & it won't go away. Normally it heals with in a week. It's been over a week & they haven't healed what so ever.

Could this be a deficiency ?

It sounds like an iron deficiency. I have low iron, and I find random bruises on my body, too. I also sometimes take a long time to heal when I have cuts. Start taking a daily multivitamin, and look for one with high iron levels. That's what my doctor recommended and it really helps :)

So i want to be a psychologist and i wanna study that in college. Im not sure yet what kind of psych i wanna be but i have been thinking about child psych for a while now.
I am wondering what the basic courses are that you would take in college? and is it really hard? or is it just a lot of memorization? Please be specific, thanks!! :)

Hello! I'm currently majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in psych. I'm only a freshman, but I have all the courses I need to take planned out and I've looked into all them, so I'll share with you the information I have.

Though it depends on the school, you should start out taking general education classes. Those being your basic math, english, biology and history classes. That's what I'm currently doing so I get all of that stuff done and out of the way and can focus on only the classes specified for my major as I continue on in school. For psych, you really don't need higher level math. If I wasn't majoring in Neuroscience, I could stop taking math after I finished the semester of trig I'm currently taking. Make sure to take english classes though, as those are definitely required for virtually any major.

To major in psych (because I also looked into a major, but decided on a minor after I found Neuroscience) you take a lot of psych classes (obviously!). I'd rather not list them, so here are the required classes for my school's Bachelor in Psychology program:
http://www.uic.edu/ucat/catalog/LAPSYCHOLOGY.shtml#c

I've taken a few basic psych classes, and they are a lot of memorization. It's not hard for me because I'm completely interested and in love with this stuff, so I don't have a problem studying and reading a lot. Overall, I think you're choosing an excellent major and I wish you the best of luck! If you need any more help, feel free to send me an inbox :)

ok like i wanna hold hands and kiss my girlfreind or hug her you know.but im not sure how to make the first move so i could use some advice

If she's already your girlfriend, it really isn't a big deal. Personally, I like when my guy moves his hand over and finally just grabs my hand. Something else cute that girls love, is when you surprise them and hug them from behind. As for the kiss, make sure that both of you are ready, wait for a good moment, and just go for it. Just go for a simple, nice kiss, not some huge, sloppy make out session.

I've had a boyfriend for about a month now and we've liked eachother forever now too. My mom doesn't know, and I think its because I'm scared to tell her. I know she wont care, cause she's my mom, and she loves me and just wants the best for me. I dont know why it makes me scared to tell her things. It's just not that that I don't tell her. I barely tell her anything. I want that to change. I love my mom dearly, but I don't know how to change. How do I do it?

Hello. So, I'm going to start off by saying, I used to be just like you. I think at the age of 16 and even 17, it's hard to be close with your mother. I don't think it's just you, and I'm sure your friends have either gone through this stage or are going to go through it. My girl friends have and I have personally; it's part of growing up.

One day, I just decided I wanted to be closer with my mom. I've gone through a lot of tough stuff during the past year, and she was always there. Think of it this way: she's your mother, and she always will be. She loves you, and she always will. Friends will come and go, but moms (family, in general, of course) are forever.

Start out slowly with your mom. Start by having conversations about your day, just to get into the routine of talking more, and getting more comfortable doing so. Then, bring up bigger subjects. Talk about friends and boys, and more personal things. Then bring up your boyfriend once your comfortable. Have him over for dinner, or just for a little while so that he can meet your mom. Not only will YOU feel better about not having to keep secrets, but your MOM will feel really happy about you opening up and feeling comfortable enough and trusting her enough to share him with her. Trust me, it will mean a lot to her.

It takes time, but it's definitely a good idea to start establishing a closer relationship with your mother. And then, once you're getting older like me, you'll have a best friend all the time, whenever you need her :)

It sounds a simple question. I want to lose around 2 stone, i'm currently running for about 30-45 minutes (trying to build that up) and i'm using my workout DVD for as long as I can. What kind of meals should I have?

http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=569112

It's simple: don't eat fatty foods. Replace sugary foods with fruits.

I think my tummy is about 15 pounds at most! Thanks in advance guys.

Start by cutting out fatty foods and replacing them with healthier alternatives. Once you've got that down, hit the gym or find a fitness class (kickboxing, spin class, etc.)

Good luck! :)

What possible retraining may be necessary in the future (for registered nurses)? As in, even though you're already one.

My mom is a Registered Nurse and she works in the emergency room. Every once in a while, she has to take classes to go back over things she learned in nursing school. She doesn't take them often, though, and they only last 2 or 3 days at a time.

As far as what she learns, I know she had one recently about patient care and going back over the proper procedures or something along those lines.

I watch tv sometimes but I found out I can watch it online at Hulu too and so I was looking through their tv show list and it seems like there are SO many of them I haven't seen. What are some of your favorite tv shows and are any like drama and action mix?

LOST was my favorite. It's a drama and has some action. It's a great show overall, really :)

Right now, I'm watching Dexter. It's also a drama, but it's about a serial killer, so there's obviously action, too. I highly recommend both shows!

i was talking to my boyfriend and we started talking about sex (we were sending dirty messages etc. no pix). a little while later we started talking about our future and he said that he wanted to have sex for real and asked how i felt about it. i told him i wanted to stay a virgin and he told me that hurt his feelings and he got mad. then i got mad at him for thinking i would actually just hop in bed with him and we got into a fight. he said he was sorry but im still mad. what do i do?

Don't do anything you're not ready for. If he truly cared for you, he wouldn't pressure you or force you into anything that you are not comfortable with. You're still so young and have so much time ahead of you for sex and everything else under the sun. Sex is a big deal, and if you're not ready for it, don't feel like you have to do it, because you don't.

Stand by what you believe, and if he can't stand by your side and support you, he's definitely not worth it.

Halloween is coming up and that means it's time for scary movies! :) Does any one know of any good movies that have a good story plot & makes ya sit on the edge of your seat?!!

Ohhh, I love scary movies :)

The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Paranormal Activity, The Strangers, The Unborn, Legion, The Grudge 1 & 2, Pulse, The Hill Have Eyes 1 & 2, Tthe Halloween movies (new and old) and Case 39 are the best I can think of off the top of my head.

I also found this list:

so im a senior and i have no idea what i want to study in college. I want something where there isnt alot of school but when i do get a job its pretty decent and i make a decent amount of money. any ideas? thanks

If you don't know what to do, regardless of how much schooling you're planning on, a good start is a community college.

Meet with a college advisor at your local community college, and ask about 2 year degree programs. I know my community college has a lot of 2 or 3 year degree programs, and some of them make pretty decent money. It's all about your interests, though. And since you're not sure what you want to do, I'd check out the 2 year programs and see if any of them spark an interest. Then maybe you could check out the classes, do some career and salary research, and then see if it's a career you'd want.

Good luck :)

17/m .hi there.been going out with this girl for nearly a month now and was wondering whether i need to get her a gift .if yes then what would be good things to get?was thinking just some chocolates and a card.anyway.Thanks:)

If you are going to get her a gift, get something simple. It's only one month, but she would more than likely still appreciate a nice gesture.

Why not take her out for a nice (but not too fancy, of course!) dinner? That and flowers would be perfect in my opinion :)
