I'm Hayley, I'll try to help you as best I can. I'm 18, and a senior in high school. I like art, music, and clothing. I'm a vegetarian abd have been consistent with it for four years. I have two dogs a westie named misty and a Maltese/poodle mix named mally. I know a lot about dogs because any time

ok lemme get down to my question. well my last year in school i wasnt doing soo great.. i got by with Cs..what are some better habbits to get me back into getting better grades..i think my grades starting doing that because all i cared was how to get noticed better..i mean im semi-popular like i know everyone and all but i mean im not top-notch ya know? so any advice with better study habits while not going crazy over knowledge lol thank you soo much!!

First off..everyone tells me I'm the popularest girl in school, I never even realized it, intill everyone told me. & if I really am, like how they say I am.. then it really is nothing special. Like everyone fights like is so much drama, & like i don't know..so really don't even worry about that. Concentrate on school. Because 10 years from now, no one will remember who was popular & who wasn't. It will all matter on how you did in school.

OK. now on good habbits for studying & such..
-Set a time to do your homework & study.
-When you study, find the best method that works for you [flashcards, reading etc]
-Pay attention in school. haha
-What I do.. is like social studies for instance, I find it EXTREMELY boring, but I like to pretend I live back then.. so like when shes talking like say its about presidents or something.. I'd pretend I was like married to them. So then I remember the ladys name & everything. I don't know how old you are, but ehh oh well. Its an Idea.
-Study a little bit every night.
-Reread the chapter
-Rewrite your notes.
-Only do this for about 2 hours [that includes your homework & such] Because well atleast I get tired after a while. & it becomes useless.

this seemed like the best column to me, sry if it's not in the right place.
i have serious trouble sleeping. for example, right now it's midnight and i am dead tired. so far i've layed down to go to sleep about 4 or 5 times. every time i do, within 15 to 30 minutes i start to feel very restless. i toss and turn, i try different positions, i sit up and lay back down, and various other things. what should i do? should i go so far as to see a doctor?

Is there anything wrong? Like, anything worrying you? To be keeping you up. Because if something worries me.. it keeps me up. But, if theirs not.. then try a warm glass of milk. & if your still not asleep in a half hour.. try counting sheep, & all those methods. Also, check the time.. you may be sleeping longer then you think.
Sometimes I do that. If this has been going on for a week or so, I suggest you see a doctor. I hope I helped! Bye! =)

Just wondering, but why does the majority of this site use horrible spelling and grammar when they ask questions? True, I understand it may be faster, but when you have a serious question such as when a friend might die, wouldn't you want others to understand what you're talking about? Also, why are there so many questions on people wanting to kill themselves, cutting themselves, and being just downers in life? Life can be so wonderful, and people make it seem so horrible when they cut themselves because their parents don't let them out past 9 or don't buy them a car, when they should feel lucky that they even have caring parents, or even food on the table. I dunno, just... why?

It is just a habbit. That kids get from talking online, like 'wtf' & such. It's just easier, then spelling out the word. I know, I don't like it when people use bad spelling & grammar.

About the whole cutting, death, & such.. not everyone views things the same. You are probaly very optimistic. Not everyone is like that. Also, sometimes those people could have their chemicals unbalanced, & that is why they get depressed at the littlest things, or they are just very spoiled. The society today, makes it like that. So many more kids get what they want. But, their parents are never around. & thats how most parents make up for it. By buying them things.. & then when kids want like a car or something, but their parents arn't that rich.. they then act in a way, to get attention. By cutting themselves, or starving..whatever. Just so.. their parents will pay attention to them. It seems silly, but to them its the only way.

let me put this in short version. i met a boy we really clicked he told me how he felt about me and we were just really close.. he left for a week and i saw pictures of him making out with another girl..
and i asked him about it and he said he has been wanting to go see her for a year and a half now.
when he comes back to my state should i forget him?
(he makes out with 7th graders too i learned)
or should i just not date him..

Wear can you get those girl pants that are like plaid and they aren't quit capris are they are boy short length.

I've seen them in the guys section at american eagle and ive seen girls wear then but ive never seen them in stores. like a girl working at hollister wore a really cute pair of pink ones but i searched the store and they didn't have any

I was just at abercombie [both abercrombie kids, & abercromebie & fitch] & they had them both. They weren't plaid though. But, in Limited Too [haha.. I can still fit in there, i don't know if you can or not] But they do, in like green, blue, pink, & such. there cute. Also I saw some in kaufmens, but they weren't plaid =/. Limited Too is your best bet. Inless.. you don't care if there plaid or not.

So, I was talking with this guy and I'm 15 and he's 16. We were planning on doing it because, I thought, we were basiclly dating. Today, I found out he had a myspace and apparently he has a girlfriend he never told me about or mentioned. I saw the comments she left him saying how much she loves him and then his replys and they were from today. Some girls dun look good but they have full, ultimate confidence in themselves. Can someone tell me how they manage to do that?

I look not too bad but i just cant have that much confidence like them. My confidence wavers a lot and is easily shattered. How can i achieve that ultimate confidence? and stay confident for long?

Girls that have over confidence & such.. when they look in the mirror they don't see who they really are. Like, some girls see themselves super skinny, but really there not. & some girls see themselves fat, but there really not. Its just how you naturally are.

But, you can fix that by seeing all your positives, like just look at yourself in the mirror, & say, "I have a pretty smile. My teeth are so striaght & I smile so big." or something. Don't get cocky though. But yeah, it works for me!

i'm not sure if this is in the right category.. but last year i went from a 105 to 125 in less than a year. and im a small petite fit. but now i just look a little widder and all. i have so much cellulite on my butt and my thighs. when i wear shorts and when i walk you can see it. does anyone know what i can do to them?

Do you sit on the computer alot? Or watch tv? Or sit alot? Because, when you do that and don't like be active.. thats what happens. You can buy creams.. but I see the people estabilished that you can do that anyways. But, yeah. Just don't sit around alot.. in the future. mmk, hope I helped!

i'm not very popular, but i wouldnt say im a geek either.

i really dont feel like i have any friends. im sort of friends, or what you would call aquiantences (sp) with probably 15 people, but i dont actually feel like i have someone to be there for me when i need it.

school really sucks. nobdoy call tell though. i always act hyper and friendly but its beginning to get harder lately, just because.

i would like to know if other people feel like this...or if its just me. adivce would be nice too. sorry if i sound depressed or something. i dont think i am, just the place im in right now does not fit very well with my personality.

Well, when i was in like 6th grade & mostly below.. I only had like 2 real best friends. & I always saw everyone with there big groups. & my friends & I always felt so left out.

You know those 15 aquaintences you have.. instead of keeping them as aquatinences, make them your friends. Just start talking to them one day, like not hyper or anything.. just start talking. Like if they have a picture of a dog in there locker [or whatever.. idno. lol] just be like "Awww what a cute dog, what kind is it?!" & you guys will start talking. + since its summer now, just talk to them online.. & be like "OH MY GOSH, WE SHOULD HANG OUT!" & then you probaly will end up doing something with them & there friends.

Also, I know you said 'no clubs' but if your school has sports [which I'm sure they do] then join one. I mean, just because you know the kids.. like their names, doesn't mean you know them personally. When you join something, then you both will have something in common.

I like this guy a lot. And only my best friends know I like him. And I think I love him. We talk from time to time. But we arn't friends: he is popular and I have lik 20 close friends, but we're not popular, just really friendly. So we talk about hockey (Because we both play) and that is basically it. I was planning on telling him how i feel about him next time I see him.

But today, I was talking with my really good friend who I just told the other day (making her the 4th person who knows) and she said that he smoked pot. Now, this person isn't one to gossip--- she never does, doesn't say anything unless its true, but today, she said she was almost positive that ricky smoked pot.

My dad is very ANTI drug ANTI sex ANTI anything illegal. But he really likes this kid; they met via my hockey. He says we would make a great couple.

I would date him if he smokes, because I care for this guy so much, I think i might be able to change that *it sounds mean,-- i dont want it to* but my dad wouldn't stand for it.

I really don't know what to do. I'm sure if I tell this guy that I like him, he'll like he too, because everyone knows he has a thing for me. Please help me!

Well, first find out if its true that he smokes pot. Like just come out & ask him or be like "Theres a rumor going around, you smoke pot. Is it true?" Or you know however you wanna phrase it. Then, if he answers no, tell him you like him. If he says yes, then I'd move on to someone else..because even though you say you won't smoke it, or say he won't talk you into it, theres a good chance he will. Because you'd want him to 'still like you' & all that other kinda thing. So, I'd just move on. There is plenty of other boys. Trust me.. inlesssssss.. before you date him, you get him to stop smoking pot.. then it would be all good. But, if you can't I'd just stay away from him.

Well, if he doesn't mention like him saying he wants to have sex with you or something already, then its okay. He asked you out right? Then, he must of liked you for you.
