Er, my friend has a virus in her computer that kicks her off, because instead of her DSL connecting her online, something call ENTER does instead. How do we make the problem go away? (Her computer will not reconise ENTER you see).

Does that computer have any kind of antivirus? If not, your friend really needs to install some kind of antivirus and firewall.

If that computer cannot be used to access the internet, you'll have to download the antivirus install file (if you're not buying it on a CD) on another computer and transfer it with a USB flash drive.

You should probably disconnect the internet lines on that computer until you get rid of the virus to avoid it from connecting to unknown sources and catching more viruses.

when i type something into google one of my online journals shows ups even though its supposed to be private..it still shows some of what it says..i was wondering if theres any way of taking the link off of the google search? because i seriously do not need people reading that. thanks.

Google might take the link off if you email them, but by then it might be too late. Deleting the entry off your journal would probably be the safest.

You should try logging out and searching again and see if the entry still comes up. It might only be showing up to yourself.

Also, what kind of journal are you using? If you're using Livejournal or one that is based on the software, go to the page where you edit your personal information, and check the box next to "Minimize your journal's inclusion in search engine results" (on some sites using older versions of the Livejournal software it might still be "Block Robots/Spiders from indexing your journal", it should be between "Show location & birthday?" and "Display mutual friends on profile page") to reduce the chance of this happening in the future.

Of course, after this you might not trust your journal to keep your secrets any more.

heya! my dad deleted and blocked msn when i took an overdose thinking it was why i took it but it wasnt, but yeah thats not the point lol. its been about 10 months now, yeah because it was new year. well everything to do with chat is blocked by Norton Internet Security Professional and because im not the adminastrator to the computer i can't get it back off my account, if i were on my dads account how could i make myself adminastrtor to get it back and while on his account find out his password so i could go back so when i have downloaded it i can take myself off admin, OR how would i go to the Norton Internet Security Professional thingy and unblock chat??? sorry if i confused u at all! thanks for any replies! xxx

I would recommend that you ask your dad to give you back the chat privileges before you attempt to change the settings. While your dad might not allow you to use MSN, you should at least try to be open with him. Communication between family members is important.

Also, if you try to change the settings for yourself, won't you get in trouble if your dad finds out? He might stop you from using the computer altogether.

If you asked and your dad won't let you, you can make your account an administrator account by going to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change an account > (Choose your account) > Change the account type > Computer administrator

I hope you ask first and get it. If you're trying to change it for yourself, I hope you don't get in trouble for it.

i'm 13 years old and i'm only 4'11. i only have like 2 years left to grow (yes i've had my period already) and i really want to be at least 5'1 or something. if i have to spend the rest of my life being under 5 feet, i'll hate it a lot. i know to some people it may not seem like such a big deal but it kind of is to me. my parents are normal height so i don't know whats wrong?? so how can i get taller? like what should i eat? vitamins? thanks

While this will not guarantee that you grow tall, you should:

1: Make sure that you have a balanced diet. It is especially important that you get enough protein, but vitamins and minerals are also important. Milk is also supposed to help you grow. (Of course, don't drink milk if you're lactose intolerant)

2: Make sure that you get enough sleep. If you're 13 you need about 10 hours of sleep each night if possible.

3:Exercise a lot. Basketball and anything that involves jumping is supposed to help you grow taller. This will also help you sleep better at night. I know that it's not easy to sleep 10 hours every night, especially since it would very likely mean that you will have to go to bed earlier than you want to.

Ok this is a really horrible situation I got myself into.
Today is my 1 year anniversary with my boy friend and this weekend is my best friend's birthday. I totally forgot to mention that to my boyfriend and he bought us tickets to this concert and reserved dinner at a really nice place downtown that has a waiting list weeks long.
Anyway, I've known my best friend my entire life and we had always planned that for her 18th birthday, we'd drive over to Alberta and get totally tanked with a group of girlfriends because her parents would be away for Thanksgiving.
So yesterday, my boyfriend gave me my ticket and I noticed the date of the concert and the dinner falls on the same day of my friend's birthday! I couldn't believe it and I got really upset because my best friend and I had been planning this for years and I couldn't believe this was happening to me!!
Well my boy friend said he understood and it was ok, he could take me some time later even though I know he spent a lot of money on the tickets and planned it all out and we can't get seatings at a concert again till they come around on tour again. So I said ok, I'll go with Sandra and them.
So I was all planning on going with the girls until one of my other friends "felt bad" or whatever and she told my best friend and now my best friend says it's really stupid that I would ditch my boy friend for a road trip and she demended that I go to the concert.
Now I feel really bad and so does my boyfriend so I don't know what to do! Like if I go to Alberta, I'll feel really bad but at the same time, if I go to the concert, I'll feel bad too! What the eff am I supposed to do?

I think that you should go with your friend because that's what you've planned earlier on and you shouldn't back out on something that you've planned. Also, you said you've known your best friend for your whole life. How long have you been with your boyfriend for? Are you going to ditch the friend that you've known your whole life for him?

One exception would be if your friend insists that you go to the concert. If you're going on a road trip, you're together for a long time. It would be awkward if your friend is insisting that you go to the concert. If you do go to the concert, remember to give your friend a present and say happy birthday. (Of course, you should be doing that anyway, but if you can't be with her, that's even more important)

Of course, you can always choose to not go to either, so you're not ditching one for the other, but I don't think it's very fair for your best friend or your boyfriend because if they both said that they don't mind, you might as well at least try to be with one.

Easier said than done, but don't feel bad no matter which one you choose, because that would make whoever that you didn't choose to go with feel bad. It's nice of your best friend and your boyfriend that they don't mind if you choose the other. Enjoy yourself no matter where you decide to go.

Hey guys! I'm writing an essay for english on the theme of loneliness in "Of Mice and Men". I'm trying to come up with a transition between 2 of my paragraphs, but I can't think of a good one. The last sentence in the 1st paragraph is 'He was isolated from everyone else, just by being the oldest person on the ranch' (talking about Candy) -this is where I need the transition- I need the new paragraph to start talking about Curley's wife and the ways that she was lonely. Can anyone help me come up with a good transition between those two things? I suck at english, and I really need help. Thanks!

I remember studying that book in year 10. I still remember quite a lot of it.

I think you can say something like "while Candy is lonely because he is old, Curley's young and beautiful wife is also lonely". That will show that loneliness can be experienced by different people for different reasons.

Of course, your own idea might be better because you know what you've been told to do. Saying that she had it worst makes sense, you could say more on why - as in she is lonely because she's young and beautiful and she wants attention, but Curley doesn't spend enough time with her.

Okay, so i had a version of limewire on my computer. One day i was on limewire and it said "download new version of limewire" so i decided to download the new version. I got on to the new version and i started to download a bunch of songs, and it refused to work. So then i was like hey thats gay. so I uninstalled limewire and intended to download back my older version that i had on before but i cannot find it WTF! i looked EVERYWHERE. i searched in download.com, i googled it, and i went to limewire.com and the only downloads that are available is that gay newer version. I am so pissed. HELP ME DOWNLOAD MY MUSIC!!!!!

What have you done? I'm not sure what you mean when you said that you "blocked photos from entering my myspace profile". Here are some ideas on things that you might be asking for:

If you want to change your photo, go to "Upload / Change Photos" and upload a new one or change your default photo. As far as I know, you can only have one photo that shows up in the box where it says your age and gender. If you want more photos on your profile, upload them as you would normally do, then put <img src="IMAGE URL"> in any box on your profile where you want the photo. (Replace "IMAGE URL" with the actual URL of the image)

If you've blocked HTML in comments and you want to allow it, go to "Account Settings" then "Profile Settings" and uncheck the boxes and save.

Hey everyone! I want to host a New Year's party, but I need serious help. It should obviously be a sleepover, but should I make it coed and have the guys just leave at midnight and then the girls would sleep over? What could we do? I don't want it to be boring, and I have a huge backyard. I am a girl, and I want the party to be of about 40 people. I would want 25 girls and 15 guys, because I know more girls. Can you help me?

It's a good idea that you're starting to plan it so far in advance, since it'll come faster than you think.

If you have a sleepover, make sure you have enough space for everyone to stay. (that should be obvious) Since you say you have a huge backyard, you could have your friends bring tents and camp in your yard if the weather is suitable. (that really depends on where you are)

For that matter, make sure you have enough space for all your guests. Of course, keep in mind that some of the people you invite might not be able to go.

Movies are always good for keeping your guests entertained, if you can find a movie that you think everyone will like.

Playing cards are good too, since most people will know how to play.

Make sure there is enough food for everyone.

i rate high!

If you want your hair really curly, scrunch it up more tightly. It might work better if you do it to your hair while it's wet, or if you use gel or some kind of styling product. How well it works will depend on what kind of hair you have. If your hair is naturally really straight, the curls won't hold very well.

For example, I have naturally straight hair, and I can twist my hair up tight and tie it in place for the whole day, and it only goes slightly wavy when I untie it, and the waves don't last long either.

Well, the heat and chemicals aren't good for your hair, but it's not that bad, otherwise no one would straighten their hair. If you have really fine or dry hair, it might be best not to straighten it. Of course, if you straighten your hair (or even if you don't), use conditioner and your hair should be alright.
