I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

Do you usually use pads or tampons? Do you know any brands that work good?

I use tampons. Tampax Pearl is one of the best brands there is. They have scented ones, and they smell really good.

I don't really like pads, but when using tampons you must switch back & forth because tampons can cause TSS which is a rare, but serious disease. It can be fatal if you wear or deal with a tampon improperly.

But I definitely recommend Tampax Pearl. Get the scented ones. :)

No. Masturbating does not stop your period from coming.

Please, i just started my 4th round of my period. And i need to wear a tampon, but i don't want to. But i go swimming and stuff like that a lot, so please, what should I do!!??

I would just suck it up & wear the tampon. They're very comfortable, hardly noticeable, and better for swimming.

I'd say to swim without one because being in water can temporarily "stop" your period, but it'd also be gross and that's not really something you should do. Just wear the tampon. I bet you'll enjoy it over what you regularly use when you're menstruating.

Chances are that right now you're just confused. It's hard to be sure of sexuality at 14. You could just be curious about doing things with your gender, and because you're thinking about it, you're beginning to think you're gay.

You may just be bi-curious. Don't put a label on yourself yet until you know for sure. Don't tell your mother yet either. There'd be no need to get her all hyped if you're not actually gay.

My first kiss was forced, and horrible. I was 12. :( The boy I liked lived a street away from me, and he was walking around while I was riding my bike. My "friends" just happened to be at the corner of my street at the time, and so did the boy I liked.

They took my bike and forced us to kiss. If I didn't kiss him, they'd keep my bike. I did it not only because of peer pressure, but because I really wanted my bike back. I wasn't friends with them after that, and I ended up dating the boy, but that kiss sucked.

If your boyfriend dislikes the way his medication makes him feel, then it is his duty to talk to the doctor who prescribed them to him. If the medication isn't working, then the doctor will prescribe him something different.

Do not kill your boyfriend. You say that you're completely normal, but a completely normal person does not want to kill people. Whether he commits suicide, or you kill him, he will still go to hell. If you kill him, you will have to deal with what you've done - guilt, regret, and the consequences of the law. You will go to prison, and depending on where you live, they will sentence you mercilessly.

There's no reason for you to kill your boyfriend, or yourself. Tell his parents, tell the police, tell your parents, etc. Everyone will get you both help because you both desperately need it. Your boyfriend should be in the hospital, and you should be going to therapy.

Do not kill him or you will both suffer. Not to mention his family, your family & all of your friends.

If he started going into your vagina, you guys were having sex thus you're not a virgin ANYMORE. There is always a chance of pregnancy with unprotected sex. If he was not wearing a condom, your chances of pregnancy are high - even if he didn't ejaculate. There is such a thing as pre-cum which does contain sperm & does have the power to get someone pregnant.

If you're scared, I would wait until the day your period is supposed to show, if it doesn't - get a test. If you have the money for Plan B, you can try that but it only works for 72 hours after sex.

Ok. My boy friend has a lot of people who hate him and dislike him,he's nice, sweet and cares about people and people think that means he's gay! If you know that your boyfriend is straight, then that's that. Don't listen to what people say about him. They're either jealous, or they're just assholes. Either way, it's no reason to listen to them. They're doing this because they know it'll bug him or you, and they like getting arise out of you.

If you're not positive that he's straight, ask him. Honesty is a really big part of a relationship. He'll tell you what's up.

I am 17/F.
For the past 3 days I have been feeling crappy. It started with sore throat and headache, and now I am extremely tired and my muscles are sore. My throat feels swollen all the way up to under my ears. I go from burning up and sweating to freezing and getting chills and goosebumps constantly. Even as my head feels hot the rest of my body is freezing. My nose is running a lot, and i just feel kind of sad and confused some of the time.

Its possible i am just sore from cheerleading, and am tired from school, but im not sure. a girl on my team has mono and just recently started practice with us again, and i work with a kindergarten class 3 times a week, so that doesnt help much!

I hate wasting my moms money and going to see a doctor if its just a cold, but I'd also hate to continue daily activities that could mess up my spleen if i do have mono.

I suggest you see a doctor. None of us here are doctors, so we can't exactly diagnose you with a cold or mono. The only way to know for sure is to see someone who is a doctor.

Use your mother's money to see one. I'm like that too, but healthcare is only free (if you're getting it from a parent) for so long so use it while you have it.

My mother is a narcissist and used to abuse me emotionally and psychologically. I just came to college a few weeks ago hoping to heal somewhat from that by being in a different environment. However, my roommate has similar issues with her mom, and when she calls her on the phone I can hear a lot of their conversation. It brings back memories and makes me feel the feelings all over again and it is very uncomfortable. I don't know how to make myself feel better when instances like this arise.

When I found out that her family was like mine, I thought it might be nice because we could share our experiences. We did that once, and I didn't even say a lot. But I started panicking and my hands were shaking. I had to go to the bathroom and calm myself down.

If anyone has any advice on any of these issues, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

You need to seek professional help. Like Matt said, most schools offer free care for that. If your school doesn't, I'm pretty sure there's someone you can ask about it that will get you the help that you need.

Maybe your roommate can go with you. If you guys have similar problems, it wouldn't help for the both of you to get some help. Until you can get to someone (I suggest doing it ASAP, though) rely on each other for support.

Sex isn't really something that one should jump into with someone they don't know, care for, love, etc. Having sex with random people is not only careless, but it's disgusting & stupid.

Get yourself a girlfriend, wait a few years and then if you're ready and know you love her, have sex. Don't just jump into some random relationship with someone you don't give a damn about. You'll end up regretting it completely.

my teacher said that about 75% of humans never get over depression. She said that scientists wondered that if there is something imprinted in the brain that makes humans depressed and can never become perfectly happy.

Depression isn't imprinted into someone's brain. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes people to become depressed. Something triggers it and that's that.

I doubt there is science behind depression.

Masturbating is a very healthy activity. There's nothing wrong with doing it.

If you've developed an addiction to it though - where as you're not going outside & playing, hanging out with friends, or going places, then I would say to stop. But if you're still doing those things, there's nothing to feel guilty about or ashamed of. :)
