Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Hi there,
I had my upper wisdom tooth extracted last Monday (17/03) under a local anaesthetic, following nearly a week of intense pain which my friend, a dentist, initially thought was due to an abscess of or peridonitis. Before it was found to be tooth decay (he did not x-ray my teeth as he was on holiday at the time), he gave me a very short course of antibiotics (3days). At the same time, I was taking 2 nurofen every four hours. By the second day of taking the antibiotics I was waking up at night, my nightdress drenched in sweat and feeling quite ill (aside from my aching gums!). Also, everytime I moved my head in bed, I felt extremely dizzy, as though I'd stepped off a playground roundabout. My tooth was removed by another dentist after an x-ray found the tooth to be decay, and the pain stopped in my gum. However the nausea, sweating and dizziness continued until yesterday (22/03). Today, I don't feel as dizzy but I feel extremely tired and have no energy to get out of bed and generally quite down. Is this due to the tooth decay, nurofen, or to the antibiotics ?

Well, I strongly suggest you call up Mr. Dentist immediately and describe what you are experiencing. It could be a number of things, including the possibility that the infection is still there.

I had an abscessed wisdom tooth that had to be treated with antibiotics, then extracted. I actually had all four extracted at that time.
I was put out under general anesthesia. I had pain and discomfort from the aching gums, but I experienced none of the other symptoms you are describing, other than being tired and groggy until the anesthesia completely wore off. (Which was, what? A day?)

I'm serious as a heart attack. Call the dentist. Since you likely went to an oral surgeon for the extraction, that is who you need to make the call to.

i hear girls complain that somtimes when they go on diets they just loose a bunch of weight in their breasts. my first question is, is this true? do some people actually see a noticable difference in the size of their chests?

the second thing is, i have a really big chest and i really dont like it. im pretty short and im thin. by chest is just a little bit bigger than what would look right on me. so do you think if i try to loose wieght i could loose it of my chest? how exactly could i go about doing this? (i eat pretty healthy by most people's standards, but ive never actually tried to loose weight before.)

If you are overweight, then yes, you lose fat out of your breasts causing them to get a bit smaller. I'd wager how small depends on how overweight you are, how much weight you lose, and how much fat is in your breasts in the first place.

Being thin? You don't have a whole lot of fat hiding in your breasts to lose, so a diet won't do much for you.

So i havent had my period in about 2 months but I took 2 pregnancy tests and one at the clinic and it came up negative. I had sex last night and i bled everywhere but i am still not on my period...what is going on?

Ok, so if you have negative pregnancy tests, you should set an appointment with your doctor, or gynecologist to find out if this is normal, or if it isn't, what's causing it.

ok im 17, and i live in michigan. I've never got in trouble with the cops before.

i was at a party the other night and everyone was drinking. everyone was under 21, and the cops gave everyone an MIP (minor in possesion) because everyone had to do a breathalizer test.

i have a court date in about a month. my mom knows, but i was wondering, 1. what most likely is going to happen when i go to court. and 2. is there any way that i could possibly not tell my dad. he and i already dont have a very good relationship, he doesnt trust me for various reasons.

If this is your first offense, you will have to pay court costs and likely fines. You may have probation, but no jail time, and nothing on your record.

Ok so I'm homeschooled and I go to this house school (stupid I know) and its only me and this other girl. She is really nice (most of the time) but she always chews gum during school and she really smacks it (gross). How can i either get her to stop or drown out the noise. All answers apreciated.

So there's somebody there teaching you. Have you discussed this with them? You can ask them to have her stop without them letting on that you were the reason they're telling her.
With only the two of you, it's pointless to say "You're disrupting your classmates..." But they can say that they decided gum chewing during class and study time is no longer allowed.

Hey, I read some of your advice... its excellent and i totally agree with you. I need someone to give me fantastic advice...

So, Im 25 years old and female. I have been in three serious relationships and have dated a whole lot. My last boyfriend and I broke up in a mutual decision. For a year and 1/2 we rarely talked. Now he is back in the picture, we go out on dates often, but he says he isnt sure if he wants to be serious with me "at this time." So, i did what any girl would do... continued to date!

There is this guy that i just started seeing, I feel we connect on many levels. I honestly LOVE hanging out with him. The problem is... he is dealing with the same situation as me! His ex is back in the picture after months apart. I know that its hard to choose, but I am realizing I am liking this new guy more and more, and I feel as if he is liking his ex more and more. He is very aware of my situation with my ex and I am very aware of his situation. I am trying to be patient, but I want this guy to want to be with me... Any suggestions? I want him to fall in love :) with me!!!

That's a tricky situation!

Realistically, if he's liking his ex more and more, there isn't much you can do. You can't change his feelings.

If it were me in your place, I'm afraid I'd end it. I know, that's not what you want. BUT. Why be with a man who wishes he were with someone else? That's not fair to you. I know I certainly wouldn't want to be with a man who was thinking of another woman when he was with me.

I mean, you can stick it out and hope that he will forget the ex, but you run a high risk of getting your heart trampled. Then again, the thing in this life we risk the most is our heart.
Or, you can move on and find that guy out there who wants to be with you, and only you, who you feel the same about.

It boils down to "Do I take the risk, or do I count my losses and move on?"
Unfortunately, those are questions I can't help you answer. You got to decide what is the best path for you to follow.

My friend and I want to go to London. Her mom knows. And we need to find a hotel that allows two 15 year olds to stay in them, if the rooms are paid for by some one 18-older. If that is possible.

There will be no 18 year and older person going with us. and we have the money.
So would it be possible for us to go?

Basically, what you want to do is research. What hotel do you plan to stay in? Call them and ask their policy on this. Better yet, figure out which hotel and have the paying adult call and ask.

I used to work at a hotel, and kids were allowed a room, BUT an adult had to physically be there to check out the room, and be responsible for the kids.

EXAMPLE: We had volleyball/softball/baseball, etc. tournament players stay. There would be the coaches and a few parents. So kids would have their own rooms.
BUT. Legally, they couldn't stay there if it weren't for the adult coming into the lobby, signing for and paying for all the rooms, and being responsible for all the kids in the rooms.

Rooms could not be paid for by an adult from afar. They had to be there physically. Now, I'm in the USA, but it would be my guess that London's hotels aren't much different.

But it doesn't hurt to research and ask.

So I dated a guy over the summer and we ended everything once school started because he lives about 2 hours away. we hardly ever talk now and he just ended about a 4-month relationship with a girl from his school. however, over the summer he mentioned that he would like to go to prom with me (before we ended everything and before he dated someone else). it took me a while to get over him. But now, I have been going out with a guy since the end of February and he asked me to prom sometime in early feb. I am hearing things from a couple people that he is a man whore and i am finding out things he was done to girls. This makes me wonder but i haven't talked to him about it yet. ANYWAY, my question is, should i go to prom with both guys or just the boyfriend? By the way, both proms are different days and different schools/cities. I appreciate any input!

Ok, so I met this guy over spring break at the hotel we were staying at. We met at the pool, but by the time he actually gathered his guts up to come get my phone number, he had to leave, so we didn't get to talk much. Anyway, I went back up to my room and he texted me and we talked for like 2 hours. Then he asked me if I was a virgin? and I was like "um yeah, I am only 14" and he was like "awesome". Then he changed the subject. So he kept talking and he was really sweet and everything and kept going "you're so beautiful" and stuff. Then I had to go. Then the next day, we were both leaving, so we were hoping to say goodbye in person and stuff, but things came up, so we didn't get to say goodbye. So I was going home and then he texts me and was all sad and all. Then we start talking and he says "you have an amazing body, would you ever send me a picture of it" ((keep in mind i've only talked to this guy once and only known him for about a day)) and I said "Um, I don't know, but you already saw it at the pool" and he was like "yeah....". Then we were talking and he suddenly asked me how big my boobs were??? ok so my friend Katie has been going out with this guy drew. I honestly think that the relationship is a mistake. he likes me, he lies to katie, he used her, this is their 3rd time going out, he called me a bit**, etc. ect. He is not a good boyfriend. But this is her longest relationship so she thinks that she loves him. but she says that she is not happy ( i wouldn't be either) but she refuses to break up with him. So i cant be her friend if she is going to go out with someone who treats me like crap. but i am afraid that she will choose her boyfriend over me and then they will break up and she will have no one... what should i do? and please dont say talk to her because i have already done so. any ideas?

Well, you can't dictate who she dates. Yah, the guy sounds like a jerk, but she chooses to stay with him. Can't change that.

Making her choose "It's either our friendship, or HIM." Now, that's not right. What good will come of it? You lose a friend out of the deal? Is it really worth that risk?

No. You don't need to put up with him treating you like crap.

The pull out method is not reliable. Pre-cum may contain sperm, and it only takes one out of the millions.

And I highly doubt that. Many a vegetarian have children. I don't see how meat or no meat can effect fertility.

right im 16 iv just been diagnosed with kyphosis anyone who has had or knows anything about this disease please help me. can it be cured without surgery?? if so how?? and if i start to sit up striaght and improve my posture will it straighten out and will it go away. i may also have scoliosis

Like YG, all I find says surgery is the best route.
I know, scary stuff.
But look at it this way: You are young, 16. You don't want to have to be going through surgery when you are, say 26. Right?

Sometimes you just have to do what you got to do to feel better.

Be sure to bring up ALL questions and concerns with your doctor. That's their job.
