well anyway my question i guess is how many of you out there still have faith in love... and i guess what are some of your theories on finding it, keeping it, and losing it. feel free to rant and leave long philosophical answers... i wanna hear it

I believe in love. I believe that there is somebody out there for everybody. I believe that love will find you, but you have to believe in it. I believe that Taylor Swift's song is the epitome of love itself. The song is about how two people fell in love and were willing to do anything to be together, and that's what love should be.


I don't know that I've ever been in love (though, lately I think I'm getting a small snidbit of it...) so I don't know how valid my argument is, but I honestly believe in love.


As far as finding it, you have to let it come to you. You might fall in love with your best friend, your co-worker, your friend's cousin, who knows? You might just meet somebody one day and KNOW that they're special.

So, I'm a 15 year old girl, i've recently started daiting a new boy. We get along great and he always complements me, he comes over alot(5/6 days weve been together) But almost everytime he comes over, things get a little, intence. i started my period a few days ago, so thats kinda saved me. i'm usually not sexually active much at all. but i really like this guy alot.

1. does that kinda sound like hes just sexually into me?

2. if not, what would indecate that he was?

If EVERY time he comes over, ALL he wants to do is something sexual, I'm sorry but he might only be into you sexually.


Try testing him when you're not on your period by telling him you just want to watch a movie or go out to dinner.


Or talk to him and tell him you're not comfortable with the constant need for physicality.

So Im really confused theres this girl who to me is the most amazing girl ever. Ive known her for a lil over a year now and we are "together" but not dating. We kiss but not in front of anybody and she never texts me I always text her. and when she texts me back sually its a shorter answer and takes a long time to get to me. Shes a really busy girl and is always with her best friend doing important things. She said she doesnt have time for a relationship but says she likes me. I don't wanna give up on this girl but shes killing my heart. and (not to be rude to my girl but Im blessed with the looks in the relationship) Any advice on how to make her like me more or why she acts like this?

It really varies from girl to girl. Everybody has different preferences and turn ons and turn offs.
Some girls like athletes, some girls like boys in drama. Some girls like funny, outgoing and social guys, some like quiet shy bookworm guys.


Personality wise, here are my top 5:

1. A good sense of humor.
- A good sense of humor is always beneficial. And not a stupid "that's what she said!" sense of humor, somebody who can genuinely make an original joke. Making a girl laugh is one of the best things you can do in an effort to "win her heart".

2. Intelligence.
-Being smart is good, too. Us girls don't want to talk to somebody who can't count higher than 10, or who doesn't understand what's happening in the world. You don't have to be a total know it all, just smart enough to hold a decent conversation.

3. Nice guys.
- Nice guys DON'T finish last. If you compliment a girl, chances are she won't forget it any time soon. However, if you're mean to a girl, she'll remember for A LOT longer.

4. A good appearance.
- I'm not going to lie and don't think I'm shallow, but looks are all you have to go on for the first few minutes of knowing somebody. So if you're shirts half untucked, your shoes are untied, and your hair is unbrushed and a mess, chances are girls won't be into it.

5. Showing interest/having similar interests.
- I cannot tell you how attractive it is when I'm talking to a guy and he asks my favorite band, and the replies with, "I love The Rocket Summer, too!" Ask questions, and tell her when you like something she likes. If you have a lot in common, your relationship will go a lot farther than if you have nothing in common.


Those, however, are just the things I like but like I said, it's different for different girls. But a good sense of humor and giving a girl compliments are DEFINETE ins.



Now, as far as your question goes, I think she's doing 1 of 2 things:


1. She's serious: she has no TIME for a relationship.

- You said she's a busy girl, maybe she really HAS NO TIME for a guy right now. Even if she does like you and has no time for a relationship, it doesn't mean you have to give up on her. Trust me, sometimes waiting it out is the best thing you can do.


2. She's being nice: she doesn't WANT a relationship.

- This one is just what I said: she doesn't actually WANT a relationship. Now, to me it doesn't seem like this is the reason she's acting strange, but you didn't give a super lot of information.



I think you should talk to her and tell her to figure something out. Because letting her play games with you is NOT cool.

So i was hanging out with this guy whos my friend and we were sitting on the couch and i was on the edge. He picked up the guitar hero controller to get ready to play and i grabbed it from him trying to get it away and he laughed and said 'your not getting this away from me.' so i pulled harder and he grabbed my arm and said 'Hey wait your gonna fall! I can't let you fall cuase then i just won't be able to live with myself.' and he was still laughing but i mean thats still pretty flirty right? so then i was talkin to him that night and you see we both are kinda in relationships and my bf got mad at me. So my friend said 'he should trust you.' and i asked 'would you trust me?' and said 'i trust all my friends.' so i was like nyeh....what does that mean? i mean does that seem like he likes me or what?

I'm going to be honest with you, you're over-analyzing everything.


Judging by what you said, I don't think he likes you as more than a friend. I'm sorry, but that's what it seems like to me.


And if you're both in relationships, you shouldn't be flirting with each other anyways. That's not cool :(

Hello, you're someone whose advice I respect very much, so I decided to direct this at you :).

There has been a boy I've been interested in for about two months. I am 16, he is 18. I thought he was interested in me, however, I am not completely sure.

In two months, he will begin his first year at an out of state college. A few days ago I expressed that I still was interested in him. Last night he told me he did not want to have a serious relationship. I did not either, as it obviously would not work out. I asked him if he did want to hang out at all during the summer or if he was just being polite and we weren't going to actually talk again. He stated that he didn't know. Therefore, I suggested we at least try to hang out once and see what happens.

Basically, I'm wondering if I'm just bullshitting myself. I know you can't really decode someone from the scraps of a conversation I'm providing you, but do you think there is some truth to what's being said or should I forget about him completely? This question probably did not make much sense, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

As for your question, this is a difficult situation. The best thing you can do is talk to him about the it.


Personally? I'm not going to lie, but it seems like he doesn't want a relationship, but he doesn't want nothing to do with you. Do you know what I mean? Like, he's not interested in dating, but he may be interested in a potential friendship or something.


Just be careful and don't let yourself get too attached. And I really think you should talk to him. It's not cool to just let him play games with you :(

So, basically my boyfriend is going on vacation next month for about a month and a half about 4 states away from me, and I won't get to see him at all! He told me he's going to give me his hat he always wears, that he doesn't let anyone borrow/ or even touch! I thought it was so sweet, but I don't know what I should give him! Any ideas??

okay, i am 15/f and i dont know if any of you have ever done this before but sumtimes when you are listening to a song you will pretend that you are the one singing insteasd of the actual singer. well that is sorta what i need. a parents thing is comming up (some lame thing my school does)and i was picked out of everyone to sing a song (whatever song i wanted). well, i like evanescence and within temptaion the best EVER. i can always picture myself singing that.
