okay, so i can't go a day without having to wash
my hair. i have friends who only wash their hair about..
2-3 times a month, and their hair is never oily or gross.
im white by the way, and so are they.
and of course they shower daily, but they dont
wash their hair and it always looks perfect.
they say they 'trained their hair' ?
is that possible.?
like to go every other day then wash it,
then every two days and then every three days etc?

Yeah, the first person is right. Washing your hair makes it produce more oils to make up for the oils washed away when shampooing. if you switch to every other day, it will adjust and you wont have to wash it as much. i think its a pretty good idea to do that, but not if you only wash it 2-3 times a month. oil isnt the only reason we wash our hair. it gets dirty from the air and just being exposed to the world. but good luck!
Hi, I'm 15 and I really want to get a rhinoplasty(nose job) for my sweet 16, which is coming up in a few weeks. My parents are saying that i'm too young and that my nose is fine(typical), but i'm really not comfortable with it. I'm filipino and you know how our noses are;). My question is should i wait until i'm older, or should i get one now? and are there any side effects? and is it possible to be fully sedated when it happens?
Yes, you will be fully sedated. You probably aren't too young for them to do the surgery, but maybe your parents think you're too young to be getting it. No, you dont have to wait to be 18. 14 might be a little young, but probably 15 or 16. It depends a lot on when you started your period.

Your period has to do with it because surgeons don't want to operate on someone who is still growing, and they can tell by when your period started if you're still growing or not.

Okay, Im 13. And i have bad acne, its on my chest, all over my face, and on back. Gross i know. And it doesnt go away, so im considering getting accutane, I've heard that you have to be tested to get it or something?

I'm sorry =(. At my dermatologist, you have to be 14 to go on it. When is your birthday? Do you see a dermatologist at all? Because if they won't put you on accutane, there are other options. If you figure out what youre gonna be able to do and want to know anything about it, leave it in my inbox.

no no no, its NOT scary stuff. they list every possible side effect because they dont want to get sued. the only real concern is that you cant get pregnant on it. accutane is also very expensive and if you cant afford to see a dermatologist, the cost might another area of interest. but i hope this helps. if you want to know anything else, let me know.
alright, i'm 14 years old and i'm around.. 5'3" or possibly 5'4" and im about 106lbs. I'm just asking.. is that really skinny? I mean, I have like, real high metabolism ( both my parents have it ) and all my friends say I'm too skinny and that I need to gain some weight. I'm just having some trouble. How would I go about doing that? Cause I'm not gonna sit there and like, pig out till' i die. I just don't want people thinking i'm anorexic or something. I mean I'm really not that skinny. Aw sweetie, you have no reason to be worried! If you've never had sex before, then you don't need to worry! Honestly, my period will skips months and be completely random. For the first two year it can be irregular. Sounds like yours is a lot more regular than mine! haha, don't worry. Hope this helps!

I have these red bumps all over my legs. They are concentrated on and around my knees and at the tops of my thighs. try using skintimate shaving cream. it moisturizes your skin. after you shave, try putting baby oil or lotion on your legs. this should help. good luck!

no no no! don't go swimming with pads, hun!the water will make the pad expand, so it will be noticeable! and also it could make the blood leak and you dont want trails of blood around you! i think you should try tampons. when you're wearing them correctly, they don't hurt and they work very well! well good luck! have fun!

hey, i had algebra 1 this year. i thought some of the stuff was hard and some of it was easy. It really depends on how you did in pre-algebra and if you're good at math or not. If you're decent at math, you'll do fine! Math is not one of my best subjects, but i still did ok.. so you should be fine! I'm not sure about the others, I think they are more specific to your school. Most importantly, don't stress out! You're going to do fine! Try your hardest, and get help when you need it.
