Bumps

Question Posted Thursday June 30 2005, 12:34 pm

I have these red bumps all over my legs. They are concentrated on and around my knees and at the tops of my thighs. They're almost like pimples and I've used lots of soaps and cleaners to try to get rid of them, but nothing is working!!! Does anyone knows anything to get rid of these? Whether its a product you buy in the store or some home remedy or w/e... I don't care... Thanks soo much!

Yeah maybe your right, but I haven't shaved in at least 2 days and they're worse than yesterday. Also, I use the Intuition shaver. (the razor with the soap already around it)

Yeh, it definately sounds like something shaving related, if you shaved your legs a day ago or something.

If not, it might be a rash.

ahh..dont worry about them! alot of people call them "razer burn" or whatever but they are really just little infections caused by you razor. the more blades the razor has on it the more chance of getting the bumps you have. if you call a doctor they have a special perscription just for this and it will clear up in 3 days tops. to avoid getting these bumps in the future - use a bladeless razor like nair of veet.
hope i helped!

it sounds like ingrown hairs/razor burn, if it is then use a REALLY moisturizing cream, but don't shave there for a lil while.

If it's not, it could possibly be something my friend has called "scaritosis polaris" it is just a disease where little red bumps appear on ur body, nothing deadly or contagious, nothing to worry about. If it is ALWAYS there or u suspect it is scaritosis polaris, have a doctor check it out and he'll give you a special soap scrub!

it sounds like ingrown hairs or razor burn. you can prevent it by using mosurizing shaving gel, using cream after shaving and taking time around these senisitive areas

try using skintimate shaving cream. it moisturizes your skin. after you shave, try putting baby oil or lotion on your legs. this should help. good luck!

Could it be RazoR buRn??? If so, the only Real way to Really cuRe RazoR buRn is to NOT shave foR a while; let them heal up.

Some helpful tips to avoid RazoR buRn would be:
--- NEVER dRy shave.
--- Find a shaving cReam/gel you'Re happie with.
--- If you can't go out and puRchase shaving gel, use a baR of soap and latheR youR legs up REALLY good, but keep it moist and latheRy.. don't let it soRt of dRy out.
--- If you CAN puRchase shaving gel, I Recommend 'Skintimate's Shaving Gel' oR 'BaRbasol Shaving Cream".
--- Always, always, always shave upwaRds, peRiod.
--- Use a good RazoR, and change it often, if not EVERY time.
--- Yes, disposable RazoRs aRe fine.
--- AfteR shaving, apply lotion to help moistuRize, and help pRevent RazoR buRn.
--- DO NOT shave daily!! TRy eveRy otheR two oR thRee days oR so.

Hopefully this was of at least SOME use to you! :D
