Well im supposed to get my period tomorrow..but sometimes its late. and i need to go swimming all weekend and next week. but i dont use tampons..so is it ok to swim with Pads? thanks
partychick101 answered Friday July 1 2005, 1:45 pm: Don't swim with pads. It won't work. I've accually swam without tampons before. I guess since its in a lake to wear a pad til right before you go swimming. Then go swimming (without it). And when you're done swimming Get another pad. Maybe? lol hope i helped! plz rate [ partychick101's advice column | Ask partychick101 A Question ]
MELiixMARiiE answered Friday July 1 2005, 12:30 pm: Well here's what I do: My mom told me to just wear a pad so then you don't get any blood on your bathing suit, and you will soak up some blood.. and then also my mom told me whenever I first got mine that I can also go swimming ( because I had swimmiing lessons at the time ) because whenever you go in the water sometimes it just like..stops for some reason.. so .. and if you're in the lake, and some leaks down your leg or something, just tell poeple you got a little cut on your leg or something. So, I think it's fine, cause I swim all the time! Hope I helped!
Michelley answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 11:43 pm: noooo! don't do it. tampons aren't that bad. they kinda hurt some poeple (*putting in/taking out)but it only hurts for like 5 seconds. just don't leave them in for more then 8 hours!!!

blondie75 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 10:05 pm: no no no! don't go swimming with pads, hun!the water will make the pad expand, so it will be noticeable! and also it could make the blood leak and you dont want trails of blood around you! i think you should try tampons. when you're wearing them correctly, they don't hurt and they work very well! well good luck! have fun! grobanitegrl227 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 10:01 pm: i would SERIOUSLY advise against it... though ive never done it myself. swimming in a lake may actually make it worse because of all te bacteria. i didnt use tampons either... and then my first summer with my period i tried it and it wasnt that bad. just dont leave them in for too long. i think trying tampons is a better idea than swimming with pads... imperfectlovex3 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:59 pm: well i mean tampons arent that hard to use.. you might feel comfortable at first but its so worth it cause its much more comfortable than a pad cause you know everything sticks everywhere :-D
i wouldnt suggest wearing a pad, because it can slip outta the bathing suit and into the water and then you'd be totally embarassed [ imperfectlovex3's advice column | Ask imperfectlovex3 A Question ]
kitty_kat123 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:59 pm: Well,
wear a pad until you get there and then, go into a place where no one can see and take it off. This is O.K because the water stops the flow and you'll be O.K. If you want to talk or need advice, you can send me a question in my advicenators inbox OR you can email me at kitty_kats123@yahoo.com O.K?
Best of luck!~

HeathaAa answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:36 pm: noo! the pad will fall apart. even though they say blood flow stops in water, its not true. just try using tampons .. they are pretty easy if u try them a few times [ HeathaAa's advice column | Ask HeathaAa A Question ]
Teza answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:35 pm: I dont think its a good idea to swim with a pad because it will fall apart and you will leak. You should use a tampon because they are comftrable and just use the smallest size and you'll be fine! ♥// ex_oh [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

mystical_breeze answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:25 pm: Your pad will fall apart if you go swimming with one on. When I was at camp I had my period so I couldn't go swimming (I didn't want to risk it so I just didn't swim). I didn't want anything to happen, and I don't want anything to happen to you either. I suggest using a tampon.
myRainyFebruary answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:15 pm: No no no... use a tampon.. you have to.. bc you cannot swim with a pad.. pads are like diapers.. it will swell up in the water and fall apart.. you will be humiliated. you have to wear a tampon.. So you should conquer your anti-tampon attitude. [ myRainyFebruary's advice column | Ask myRainyFebruary A Question ]
xplisit15 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:06 pm: I suggest not using the pads. Not a good idea hun. Either you dont go swimming or you wear a tampon. Why havent you used tampons to begin with, are you scared or something? its not really that big of a deal. If youve got anymore questions..leave em in my inbox.
