Some of my friends are smoking (cigarettes). I'm really worried but I don't think they'll listen to me if I ask them to stop. Should I stop hanging out with them or what? I'm afraid of being pressured by them. (link)

you shouldnt stop hanging around them, but make sure they know that you are uncomfortable with them smoking around you. tell them that it doesnt interest you, and you dont think they should be doing it either, but say something like "its your decision, not mine" so they dont think youre trying to boss them around and they know you care.

ok the love of my life (but he doesn't like me more than a friend) told me last nite that his dad was beating the sh*t out of him by a text message. so i then talked to a mutual friend and she said he said the same thing to her but that he pushed him down a flight of stairs and it really hurt him!! we dont kno weather or not to believe him. like he tells everyone this but none of his guy friends believe him really, just the 3 of his closest "girl friends" (me, and 2 mutual friends). they have different stories (ex: "we were on the phone and he started screaming and crying because he was in the shower hiding from his dad when he heard him coming and had to hang up"). we dont know whether to believe him or not..
once, one of his guy friends told us that he saw his dad smack him REALLY hard once..i dont know where.
please help..what should i do? its serious..also, no one knows what happened to his mom (link)

ok well you should talk to your friend. have him tell you everything. if it turns out that you believe its true, call the police anonymously. he may know it was you, but trust me its better for him and his family. his father, if this is true, needs help. if its NOT true, you should tell your friend that is not funny in the least to lie like that because serious things can come from it.

ok well you should sit down and talk to the person who betrayed your trust like that. its so awful that the person did that to you. dont deny it because no one will believe you, they only believe what they WANT to. if your parents dont already know, it would be a good idea to tell them. if rumors are going around its best to hear it from you and not from some other parent.

its normal to wonder about it.... its not something you ever want to happen to yourself, and other people's stories let you know how real the situation is. yes, it is normal.... but its different if you actually WANT to rape someone lol. then we have a problem.

its perfectly normal. that happens to me all the time. my first one was on Halloween 4 years ago, and i always get it within a week of Halloween now. sometimes it doesnt come every month, but its nothing to worry about unless youve been involved in sexual activity.

16 male. I honestly think I am going insane. Things just have been building on me my entire life, and they are starting to just break through to the point where I cannot control my own emotions anymore.
It's like last night, everything inside me just exploded. My mom works on pit crew for my band, and she asked me to help unload the truck. Well, I happen to be the only person who uses the truck that has to unload because she is there. It always makes me a bit upset when she asks, but not like last night. Don't mention this, for it is not the issue. If you do, it is a 1.
What happened to me after scared me. I suddenly had flashback after flashback, showing me how un-normal I am. I have overprotective parents, first off, and began wishing things like they'd stop. I am a quiet person, and I wished that I could speak more. I have not had a girlfriend, I wished I could. I wanted my friends to be a bit closer to me. I wanted somebody to actually be interested in what I say, instead of blatently nodding. I wanted my sister back from her present self where she is dating a guy and is so rebellious that I can no longer stand it.
AKA, I wanted to finally be normal. And it has caused so much depression in me these past days... I feel like my life is going south, and I cannot even look north.

normal doesnt exist, first of all. i had to learn that too. nobody is ever normal, because everyone has a different definition of normal.
it sounds like you might have clinical depression. theres nothing wrong with that. it may also just be that you are being moody, and theres nothing wrong with that either, because everyone is. you may want to go to a doctor though, in case it IS clinical depression.
also, you should talk to the people you want to listen to you, the people you want to be closer to. just sit them down and talk to them.

i dont think eating a tootsie pop will do much more than give her a bad stomachache. she might throw up but thats actually a good thing because it gets the chocolate out of her system. if she is still feeling sick within 24 hours of when she ate it, take her to the vet. dont worry. you'll be ok.

i have the same problem. what HELPS is to just take a deep breath and reason with yourself, tell yourself youre being paranoid. i dont think its something we can ever STOP, but that seriously helps.

i am going 15 and if i dont get a job my dad says he will kick me out of the house. and he's being serious. problem is no one hires this young and when they do, they sexually harass you and make you fold boxes. anybody have any reccomendations of where to look for a realisitc and humane job would be much appreciated that actually hires people at this age... thank you and i'm not shitting you... if i dont get this, im out on my asssss....

its really sweet that you respect her relationship. you could tell her how you feel and see how she reacts. tell her that you know she has a boyfriend, and that you honestly have no intention of ending that relationship, but you just wanted to let her know that you care for her. let her know that youre there for her if she were ever to need it.

get a glue gun and glue them that way. hold them together for like 30 seconds though so youre sure the glue is dry before you set it down. otherwise it will come apart and you have to do it again.
also, dont burn yourself with the glue gun. it hurts like hell.

I took 8 dramamine last night, about 9 hours ago. My pupils are still dialated. I looked in the mirror and they are responsive, but still dialated.
How long does dramamine last? Are my pupils going to be like this forever? Does anyone have any comforting words or similar experiences? (link)

go to a dermatologist and see what facial medicine she/he recommends. thats what i did.

it may be awkward, but maybe you should ask him about it... i mean, if he likes you, do you share the feelings towards him? if you do, then he seems like the kind of person that would be a good boyfriend. if you dont, let him know, just easily... and if he doesnt like you and it was to make you feel better, did you like it? there IS the whole "friends with benefits" thing to consider...
