strange_ursula answered Friday October 7 2005, 7:14 pm: Don't worry. I over analyze things alot. Including myself, relationships withfriends, other peoples personalities/behaviours... and so the list goes on.
And I have found that it generally never goes any where productive.
My mum is a far blown case. She comes home from work, sits down... and talks about people from her work, their lives, their behaviour, why she thinks they behave a certain way, how their behaviour could affect children they might possibly have in the future... She also talks about her childhood alot.
If you find that your over-analyzation is taking you to places you'd really rather not go until you have the strength to face your ugly bits and love them, I suggest that you try to live in the present as much as possible and to value things for what they are/who they are, etc. When ever you find yourself agonizing over a past mistake or someone elses behaviour towards you or a relationship, just take a moment and focus on how much you love the world around you and the people in it. Remember that you cannot grow unless you make mistakes and experience the world.
YOu will slowly find that you become more mellow about your analyzing and that it can potentially become a positive, constructive habit. Love yourself.
I hope this helped you, even if it didn't make so much sense.

x_mystery answered Thursday October 6 2005, 5:18 pm: While I am not a psychiatrist and cannot give you a sure-fire answer, there is a chance it could be Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I have had people I know diagnosed with OCD because the over think and analyze things. While many I have seen diagnosed like this have had other illnesses, there is still a possibility. I suggest you schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist or go to your regular heathcare doctor to see if it is anything serious. Good luck. [ x_mystery's advice column | Ask x_mystery A Question ]
xFLiRTx answered Thursday October 6 2005, 4:48 am: I have a friend whos exactly the same! There's not really anything wrong with it, except for the fact that it pisses you off =P. I suggest just taking things as they come, dont think so much about things and take a chance evry now and then. Don't worry about problems unless you really have to.

Hope that helps lol!

Dakmor answered Wednesday October 5 2005, 6:04 pm: I looked at the previous answers... that ViceViolet person is weird, (s)he said to seek oustide help, but then what IS advicenators? =P I also noticed SG posted. Sometimes he gives good advice, sometimes he's really annoying. Usually good advice though. I was too lazy to read it though =D
Anyway, I do that too... it's annoying... I find myself walking on tiled floors in ONLY the ways that a knight could in Chess... what I do is I try to keep my mind off it. Got a girl? I try to think of her to avoid doing stupid things like that... hope I helped! [ Dakmor's advice column | Ask Dakmor A Question ]
