i got my period for the first time on auguest 15 (this past auguest). i didnt have it last month, but now i got it again on the 15th, and still have it. is this normal?
Karen answered Monday October 24 2005, 6:26 pm: This is normal. Your period is going to be irregular for the next few years so you don't know when it's going to start/finish or how long it'll last. You will notice patterns but they'll eventually change. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

during puberty your body is still going through changes its perfectly normal the only way that id have it checked is if your sexually active because you could be pregnant if not then you should be fine
grobanitegrl227 answered Monday October 24 2005, 5:55 pm: its perfectly normal. that happens to me all the time. my first one was on Halloween 4 years ago, and i always get it within a week of Halloween now. sometimes it doesnt come every month, but its nothing to worry about unless youve been involved in sexual activity. iSpEaKsPaNiSh answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:53 pm: yes..you aren't supposed to be regular for a whileee. i got mine for the first time in january-ish. i last got it in the middle of august and i still haven't gotten it since!
its like that for most everyone.
and it's lasted almost 10 days so far? that's fine too. the time you'll have it for will also vary for a while. you shouldn't have it for much longer i would think. [ iSpEaKsPaNiSh's advice column | Ask iSpEaKsPaNiSh A Question ]
hyperhottiegirl answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:51 pm: for the first year of your period it is normal. your period is not used to happening so for the first year it can happen for as much and as long as it wants. dont worry it is normal. AmmoniaImmunity answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:51 pm: Yes. It's common for the menstrual cycle not to be consistent when you first start out.
xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:48 pm: Yes. The first 3-4 years of having your period it will NOT come on a regular basis. So, I would suggest you keep extra tampons or pads and underware with you AT ALL TIMES just incase of an accident. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
Teza answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:40 pm: Yes it's normal. Periods are never regular. Sometimes you might even get it twice a month and sometimes you might even skip a month. It doesn't mean that something is wrong though. It's normal. No worrys. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
angelfire2708 answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:34 pm: When you get your period for the first time, its never consistent for the first year. It wont come the same time every month. It may go 3 days 1 month, or 1 day another month. As the months go by, it should get more and more predictable, where you can at least figure out when its going to come! Dont get too discouraged, just be patient. [ angelfire2708's advice column | Ask angelfire2708 A Question ]
