Hey y'al ! =) So for an art project this semester, we have been asked to create a website of anything you want but it has to be to do with art. So its practically a free project as long as it ties in with art. We werent given a website maker or anything so I had to find my own. I used weebly.com and I would like you all to visit my website to let me know what you think =) Thanks!

Hey there.
First off, I like the layout. Its a simple and sound design making it easy for the user. Perhaps adding a bit more contrast to the page would make it a little bit easier to read.
You also need more pictures. I would say this of any website, but I think particularly one that deals with art should be more visual. In particular, put more images near the top, so that the user does not have to scroll. It will also make your readers want to read on and bring more life to the page.
Now, art is not one of my strongest skills, but I can comment on the content more generally.
First, much of the text appears to be copied. I cut-pasted a few sentences in google and each time it seemed to be taken word for word from another site. I have no idea what they allow on your course. However, in general, make sure you do not copy content that someone else claims ownership to - I am not saying you have done this, I am just pointing it out.
Second, websites usually have a specific purpose. In many ways it is like writing a paper, where the introduction sets the scene for the content, and the paper as a whole has a specific and often narrow purpose.
Ask yourself what is the objective of your site. From the intro and title a reader would assume that it is to represent all art. This is obviously unrealistic and the content becomes a bit disjointed.
So what about making the scope narrower and in that way offering more cohesive and also deeper content? E.g. you could limit yourself to one type of art, or style, or period. This way you can go deeper and generate a common thread between the different pages, just like you would if it was a written paper. Usually teachers (and readers) really like that.
Anyway, those are my two cents. Like I said at the beginning, I think it's a great start.
Good luck.
Hi all - I have a quick, maybe silly, question about frozen pizza. I bought one the other day but unfortunately had no space in the freezer so I just put it in my fridge (my fridge is on the coldest setting) because I was planning to eat it within the hour anyway. Unfortunately things came up and today is the first chance I've had to make it. So it's been in the fridge 3 days and I just made it and ate it. It was quite soft and didn't get that crunch/crispiness but tasted fine.
Is that safe? I mean, the pizza was still in the fridge but now that I think about it, I'm not so sure how safe it is to make a frozen pizza after it's thawed. Might've been stupid of me to eat it but I am a hungry student & no other options on a late Sunday night!
It should be just fine. Pretty much any food lasts 3 days in the refrigerator, and in this particular case it probably took a full day just to thaw.
Of course, if you start to feel ill or something then by all means contact a doctor, but I really dont think there is anything to worry about.
Hey, I've recently decided to move off campus into the apartment next door so I don't have to room with my friends anymore. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just would like a place of my own. I want a good companion and a great guard dog since I am a woman and I will be living alone. I've done my research on Dobermans and found that they are very intelligent so are therefore good to train as well as loyal. What other considerations should I take in before I adopt a doberman? Anyone else owned a doberman? Comments on this particular breed? Let me know of your opinions on the breed, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. My family has owned 2 dogs before, and we have one now, but it is my mom's dog.
I agree with Razhie, I just wanted to add a few things.
Another thing to consider is the amount of exercise they need. The Doberman is a working dog and, to my knowledge, one that requires a particularly high level of exercise.
Check this out:
http://www.gentledoberman.com/caring-dobermans-needs/exercise
This is particularly important if you live in an apartment. So consider the fact that you will have to exercise this dog rigorously (not just walk it on a leash) for over an hour a day, pretty much every single day. It is quite an undertaking.
Without this exercise, the dog will suffer and so will its personality - including bringing out its aggressive side.
From the bits and pieces I have read over the years in forums and such (I am very much into dogs but I have not had a Doberman) I think the Doberman also requires a particularly firm and experienced owner/trainer. Its a dog that has a dominant streak - though that will also differ depending on whether you get a male or a female dog, which is another important consideration. In any case, improper training can also bring out its aggressive streak.
Finally, the last thing to consider is whether you want your dog to get along easily with other dogs, other people, and/or children. The Doberman does not naturally get along so well with any of them, and will require a lot of socialisation (e.g. with your family's other dogs).
Another breed you might consider is the German Shepherd. It too requires a good deal of exercise, but otherwise I think this breed is the best for most people. It's extremely intelligent and loyal, but with a more steady temperament. Also its more social, particularly with kids, and it can display bravery without resorting to outright ferocity/attack (until it's necessary of course). It will shed more though :)
Anyway, all in all I think the Doberman is a lot to handle. You have dog experience so you may well be up for the task, just please make absolutely sure that you can do it before you get one... there is little worse than when people end up having to give their dogs away, particularly dogs like the Doberman who get so attached to one single person.
im a 13 year old girl and i want to ask out a guy that my friend likes too. How and what should i do???
You should talk to your friend. It is very hard for me to give you more advice than this, since I do not have a lot of info.
Still, the general idea is this... If your friend has nothing going with this guy it should be open season for both of you. There are two situations where I would say you should not ask him out though:
1. If your friend and him have been getting close and it looks like it is going to lead to something.
2. If your friend REALLY likes him while you just kind of like him a bit. In this case, even though you would not technically be wrong to ask the guy, I would say to put the friendship first.
If you are going to ask him, let your friend know first. I know this could lead to a seriously awkward situation (or even a big argument), but believe me its going to be worse if you just do it without telling her.
i have a friend.. we have been friends for a while now and we seem to be getting closer.. i went over to his house and we were messing around, there was a little bit of eye contacts, hugging n tickling and he got a boner after this.. whats does this mean?does he like me or what??
P.S i REALLY REALLY like him(more than a friend)
It means he got sexually aroused, nothing less, nothing more. It does not mean he is NOT attracted to you beyond that but there isn't enough information to make that assessment.
Controlling erections is very hard in teens (which I am guessing he is) and even relatively light contact etc can provoke one. Certainly, hugging and tickling with a girl would be enough reason for most boys of that age.
My suggestion is that you talk to him and do not read more into this than what it was.
How t0 stop a woman from lesbian
You mean how to stop a woman from being a lesbian?
There is absolutely no way to do that. Homosexuality is not a choice, it is something you are or you are not. Think about it this way, is there anything anyone could do to make you stop being straight? I would wager you answered no. Same goes for the woman in your question.
I kickbox twice a week, I'm at the gym doing cardio on the treadmill for 20 and elliptical for 20 plus calisthenics and some light weights and lunges twice a week, I stay active on my weekends seasonally. Why is my butt growing? Is it simply diet...some junk in the trunk or could it also be an exercise I'm doing?. Help sheik the bit for me please!,
Well, as a nutrition coach and former personal trainer I can say that it is due to one of two reasons:
1. You are building muscle in your butt (as the answer below says)
2. You are gaining fat in your butt due to a calorie surplus. This could be due to bad eating habits or simply an over consumption of healthy calories.
The question I would have for you is, are you gaining weight overall? Normally, in order to gain either fat or muscle, the body needs to be in "weight gain mode". One can get some gains while not gaining weight overall but they are usually fairly minor.
Now, another factor that will affect both 1. and 2. apart from your training and diet is genetics. Some people are simply more prone to gaining weight in certain areas than others. If your "special" area is your behind, then when you gain weight, your body may emphasise weight gain in that region over others. There is absolutely nothing one can do about this since you cannot target fat loss. If, on the other hand, the gain is due to muscle, then a change in workout routine would be the way to go (lunges, for example, are quite glute-intensive; from what I hear, so is kickboxing, though I could be wrong since I have never done it).
All this being said, it sounds like you are very active, which is great. So many people just sit on their butts these days rather than use them :P Just make sure your diet is good and monitor your overall weight. Then you can make changes to your diet or routine accordingly.
I've been doing the Insanity Workout by Shaun T. I did it for the whole 2 months and then i started over again because i love the workout and i feel like i never stop sweating and its results are amazing, but when i started over again i noticed that im not sore anymore, does this mean that my body is gonna eventually stop losing weight because i no longer get sore? or is it because i got used to it? either way will i be getting results? thanks!
Soreness is not related to losing weight or even to whether or not your muscles are getting the right level of workout. The fact that you are no longer as sore is probably because you are in better shape. Your weight loss should be unaffected by this, providing of course that you eat right.
All this being said, its not a bad idea to include some variation in your workout routines. In particular, very intensive workouts should not be done too frequently and also not at the expense of also doing cardio. Cardio is steady pace, moderately intensive exercise (typically at a pace where you can still comfortably carry out a conversation), and it has very many health benefits.
But anyway, the bottom line is you should have no problem losing weight.
So I have posted on here so many questions about my so called "best friend" of 6 years. Well I haven't hung out with her since last week. And I really am getting tired of her. For those of you who i don't know, it's because she's rude, puts me down a lot, and tries to control everything I say and do. And when I try to stand up for myself she gets mad. And honestly I am sick of it, so I've decided to just stop talking to her, because anytime I try to tell her she does something that hurts me she doesn't seem to care, and gets defensive, and try to blame it on me, which is really immature. She'll always blow my phone with calls/text. And she still does, now that I am ignoring her. She'll keep texting me saying things like i miss you which i know isn't true because she only misses being able to control me. And today she texted me and was like I don't understand why you're ignoring me. I didn't say anything because like I said before she gets defensive, and never takes for responsibility for what she does. And whenever we get into a fight she'll act nice for a little while and then go back to her old ways. She has no respect for me and just shows up at my door whenever she comes home on the weekends without calling, even though I have to do homework. I let her in just to be nice. But my parents get mad at me because I get distracted. And i try telling her that I need to do my homework, and can't focus, but of course miss selfish says oh well i also have homework, we can just do it later. She doesn't seem to care much about school. My parents think she's soo great, other than the fact that she comes over uninvited, but they always defend her and tell me oh she's your only friend which is true. I guess that's why I still hung out with her even though she's a bitch. Well anyways I am getting annoyed with her constantly calling/texting me every few days. I can't block her number (well i could but it costs money and my mom pays the phone bill) And knowing her she'll come to my house if she decides to come home today and bug me, and start asking me why I've been ignoring her, and want to hangout. What should I do? Please help!!
In cases like this I would always go for the full-on confrontational approach. In the end, it is the only way to get your message across without any ambiguity.
So, when she asks you why you are ignoring her, pull her aside and explain it. Do it calmly and rationally, and under no circumstances get agitated or lose your temper - even if she does. Be polite but firm in your position.
Also, don't let her pull you into an argument; let her know this is you providing information not inviting a debate. Every time she gets defensive, just tell her she is entitled to disagree but this is how you see things and there is nothing she can say to change your mind. If she persists tell her that she is the one who asked why you are ignoring her, and now you are providing the answer. If she doesn't want to hear it, she can go away.
The bottom line should be that you have no interest in pursuing a friendship from now on - not that you want to be on bad terms or that you are scolding her. Simply put, you are done. Then ask her to please stop calling and texting you.
Make sure you are well organised mentally and that you have all your facts and examples ready. Prepare by writing them down if you have to (not to read out to her, but just so your thoughts and reasons will be readily available and well organised). It may sound a bit nuts, but what works for me is to actually role play the situation in my mind many times before I engage. If you know her well, you can probably predict most of her reactions.
Anyway, I think this is the way to go. In general, the confrontational approach tends to be far better in the long run because it sends a clear and honest message, and neither side is confused about what is going on. This applies to almost any situation in life not just this.
Good luck.
Can you get pregnant with your own milky fluid that comes out of your vagina? Without sperm? ... Will that milky white thing cause you to be pregnant?
The only thing that can make you pregnant is human sperm entering your vagina. Nothing else can do it.
ive been feeling very week latly and my heads been hurting alot. Could eating junkfood cause that if so what should i start eating?
What you describe can be due to any number of things.
I agree with the answer below, please do see a doctor. A few simple tests or maybe just a talk will get to the bottom of this.
Regarding your diet, it is always a good idea to stop eating junk food. Eat unprocessed foods in balanced meals. Grains, rice, wholewheat pasta, lean meats & dairy, vegetables, fruit, nuts, etc.
Okay so i just bought these protein bars, chocolate peanut butter wafer protein bars.. i looked on the back of it and it said that it has 400 calories, now ive been trying to lose weight and ive lost so much so far, and i want to keep going. Now im not going to eat the whole bar, im just planning on eating only half or even LESS than half once a day, im just terrified itl cause weight gain because i don't usually eat any chocolate on my diet but i heard that because its a protein bar its good for weight loss, it also says "carb concious" on it so im guesing thats a good thing, im just really nervous i dont want this to backfire and cause me to gain weight. should i replace my breakfast meal with half of a protien bar? or is it as a snack? or what i dont really know how much to eat or anything, so some guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much in advance
Protein bars are really meant primarily for people who lift weights. They typically contain carbs and fats, and unfortunately they tend to be targetted more towards people who are gaining weight rather than losing it (hence the whopping 400 cals per bar).
Now, if you are losing weight (whether you are weight lifting or not) there is no need for the protein bar. In general, it is best to get your nutrition from real food than from supplements. Furthermore, as a pure protein supplement it is not ideal because of the calories and carbs.
So, I would say forget about them and certainly dont replace breakfast of all important meals. Just stick to good wholesome, non-processed foods and you will be just fine.
Feel free to contact me if you need any other nutrition-related advice.
Super random question ha.
18/F not that it really matters.
So my dad went food shopping last week and got me 4 boxes of Souffers mac & cheese that you heat up in the microwave. He had gotten them out of the open freezer in our grocery store so he thought since it was open that it was actually the refrigerated section and put the 4 boxes of mac & cheese into our fridge when he got home.
It was no more then 10 hours later that I noticed his mistake and moved them to the freezer.
A few days after I did that my mom came to visit and I was telling her about it and she said it might not be safe to eat them now and that I probably should have just kept them in the fridge and cooked them at a lower time. She says it could go either way, they might be okay or I might get sick if I eat them so now I'm worried.
We don't exactly have money to be throwing around so I really don't want them to go away but I don't wanna find out they're bad by throwing it up (which my mom joked would happen).
So the question is, what does anyone else think? Do you think they're still edible? Our fridge I'd say is a little colder then most, if you put an open cup of water in it for an hour or so, the top layer of water becomes frozen, bread that wasn't completely wrapped tight becomes hard as a rock (compared to bread in zip locked bags that just gets cold, not hard)
I got this from the USDA website:
Refreezing
Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through thawing. After cooking raw foods which were previously frozen, it is safe to freeze the cooked foods. If previously cooked foods are thawed in the refrigerator, you may refreeze the unused portion. Freeze leftovers within 3-4 days. Do not refreeze any foods left outside the refrigerator longer than 2 hours; 1 hour in temperatures above 90 °F.
So, there should be no problem at all if the food was thawed in the fridge.
On a side note, when you described how cold your fridge was, I seriously doubted that the food even thawed in the first place.
If you have sex in a shower and a guy cums inside with the warm water on can i still get pregnant?
Absolutely.
I slept with this guy I'm in love with, and when we were together, he was perfect. I now found out that he isn't willing to give love or relationships a shot, but I've fallen for him hopelessly. I don't know what to do. Can someone please tell me how I can get out of this situation?
Look, there is no magic solution for your situation - and believe me, most people have tried it. There is only one cure, and you have to be very strict about it. You need to break all ties with this guy and not see him any more. This is the only way your feelings will eventually go away.
Most people make the mistake of trying to maintain some sort of friendship or casual hooking up - both of these make things worse. You need to treat this like an addiction so that you can move on and find someone who shares your feelings.
Good luck.
13/f Hi I want to lose about 15-25 lbs before grad in June but I have a very hectic shedule... How can I lose the weight (or any weight) and is Imy goal achievable...
Hey there,
The good thing about this is that you have plenty of time. Usually we get these questions a month before the event :)
Anyhow, the best way to do this is slow and gradual. Weight loss that stays off is achieved through lifestyle changes rather than dieting.
Now, the nutritional system that I have used that has been the most effective is based on blood sugar stabilisation. The idea is that if you eat small balanced meals every 3-4 hours your blood sugar wont spike as compared to when you eat just 3 meals.
Blood sugar spikes cause cravings for unhealthy food, so by stabilising your blood sugar you have a much easier time to avoid temptation.
So, this is what I would recommend: Limit unhealthy processed foods, sugar, saturated fat and so on. Eat balanced meals based around a healthy protein source and with plenty of veggies and fruits. Eat 5-6 meals per day and don't snack - snacking interrupts the digestion process.
The trick is to eat just enough so that you are ready to eat 3-4 hours later without being really hungry. Ideally you should never feel very full or very hungry, just content.
Begin by asking yourself: what am I going to do for the next 3 hours? If you are going to be active you can eat a slightly larger meal, a bit heavier on carbs. If you are going to take a nap, eat fewer calories and carbs.
E.g. a meal could be something like 100g lean chicken/beef/turkey, 50g wholewheat pasta, and a small salad with canola. A low calorie & carb meal close to bedtime could be 100g low fat cottage cheese, an apple, and a few walnuts.
Do not buy into the myth that you should not eat after a certain hour; its exactly the opposite, your body needs some healthy fuel for the night.
Notice how all meals are based on a good lean protein source, contain some carbs (the pasta for more carb intensive meals and the apple for a low-carb small meal) and a small amount of healthy fats.
There are many ways to determine exactly how many calories and the exact nutrient distributions, but I think you can do it by trial and error. As long as you eat sensibly and split up your meals as I mentioned you can monitor your progress and make the right adjustments. If you weigh yourself, do so no more than once per week under similar conditions (i.e. time of day, amount of clothing, etc.). Otherwise use a mirror - it is always the best indicator.
Do not exceed 1 pound of weight loss per week.
Now, the other part of the equation is exercise. Ideally everyone should follow a varied routine, but if you dont have time then in the very least aim to do 4 cardio workouts per week. This is recommended for pretty much anyone and it has countless health benefits.
Cardios include things like jogging, walking on an incline, biking, elipitcal machine, stair machine, etc.
Cardios should be at least 30 minutes in length and carried out at a moderate pace (i.e. challenging but where you are not out of breath). This is also to get optimal health benefits.
Now, obviously the best cardio is one that you can do regularly. However, the best exercises recruit most muscle fibres and make use of gravity (they provoke the most gains in the body). So, something like walking on an inclined treadmill, the stair machine, and jogging in sand, are superior to say biking or the eliptical - providing that you do not hold the handrails of the machines; holding the handrails of, for example, the stair machine prevents you from recruiting all the muscle fibres.
OK, thats that :)
Good luck.
I am 16 and i want to start exercising to build muscles. I am a twig and want a more in shape body. Plus I want to be healthier. Is there a way to exercise and not loose weight and gain muscle for a younger person. I am not super athletic so a little bit easier stuff please. thanks in advance!
Hey there,
Well, if you want to build muscles nothing compares to weight training. By far the most effective thing you can do is join a gym and start lifting (this is irrespective of whether you are a boy or a girl).
Now, I am not sure if you are willing to do this, but it is the only serious answer for muscle gain. So I will proceed from the assumption that you will have access to a gym.
Regarding weight loss vs weight gain, that is simply a function of whether you have a calorie surplus or deficit. In other words, you should eat about 500 calories more than what you use in a day. You really dont need to worry about counting calories if your goal is to gain weight, you can easily adjust your diet through experimentation.
Just eat healthy but eat often with decent size portions. Eating every 3 hours is ideal, and each meal should contain carbs, proteins, and some fat. Good fats are found in quality oils, fish, nuts, seeds, etc (but NOT in dairy). More than half of your daily fat intake should be from good fats (and ideally even more than that).
Now onto a routine. I would recommend alternating between two full body programs. You can do them 2-3 times a week, leaving at least a day break between workout sessions. So you might train Mon-Wed-Fri, or alternatively just Mon-Fri. Three times is most commonly recommended but I find it really depends on the individual.
Sample full body program (DB stands for dumbbell):
- Squat
- Romanian deadlift
- Flat bench DB press - on stability ball
- Standing DB military press
- Pull downs / Pull ups (wide grip)
- Triceps pushdown
- Barbell curl (for biceps)
- Cross body crunch
- Back extensions
- Deadlift
- Incline DB press
- One arm side laterals (DB)
- DB rows
- Hammer curls
- Standing one arm DB triceps extension
- Crunches
- Leg raise (for lower abs)
You can find an explanation with pictures of all exercises here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/
For all exercises focus on getting the right form first and dont push too hard for the first few weeks. This is particularly important for things like squats and deadlifts. Do 3 sets per exercise of 8-12 reps except for all crunches and back extensions where you should do higher reps.
For teens, it is advisable to be extra careful with over straining yourself. This is because your body is still developing. You can read more about weightlifting for teens here: http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/exercise/strength_training.html
You can substitute some of these, but the one thing to remember is always base your routine around compound, free-weight exercises. Compound means exercises that use multiple joints (like squats, deadlifts, presses, pulls ,etc) and free-weights means dumbbells & barbells (cables are ok too) but not machines. Machines do not train supporting muscles resulting in slower gains, higher chance of injury, and less usable strength.
Good luck.
15/F
So me and this guy have been talking latley and we really like eachother but im not sure if its a smart idea to date him. He's my bestfriend. i've dated a close friend before but im not sure if i should take this chance. what should i do?
Well, only you can decide if it is worth it. What we can do is help you understand the factors involved.
First of all, be aware that the odds are you will break up. Very, very few relationships between 15 year olds last into adulthood. Of course, there are the odd exceptions.
Second, if you do break up, the odds are the friendship will never be the same again. This is particularly the case if one side decides to break up with the other (as is often the case). Then the person getting dumped will hardly be ready to start being buddies again. Now again, I am not saying it is impossible - I have seen it happen - but it is just very unlikely.
All this being said, I have to admit I would personally go for it. But I am a bit of a gambler and if I see a potential big payout I go all-in. Not saying it is the smart choice (in fact it probably isn't) but I would do it.
Whichever way you go, good luck.
What is a synonym? and where i can find it?
Synonyms are words that have a very similar meaning to other words (e.g. angry, furious, annoyed). You find them in a thesaurus. Here is a link to a very good one:
http://thesaurus.com/
Hello, I am an 18 year old female and an avid Nikki Phillippi watcher on youtube. That's important because on her vlog channel, she talks about how she and her husband had started juicing. She makes a big glass every night and drinks half and then has the other half in the morning. I believe her drinks are pretty much the same everyday, kale, lemons, apples, celery, carrots, that kinda thing. Now, my New Years resolution, partially thanks to Nikki, is to eat more fruit and veggies. I am a freshman in college, so I especially want to do it so that "freshman 15" doesn't happen. I juiced today and made carrots, apples and celery. I, particularly, wouldn't make it again but I did finish the glass because I knew that it would benefit me. Nikki has said that she doesn't really like the taste of hers that much either, she compares it to eating grass, but she still does it every day and every night because she knows the benefits.
Basically, the whole gist of this is: I know the benefits of juicing vegetables; better eyesight, a clearer head, a better complexion (which I would DIE to have), weight maintenance, etc.
I was wondering, though, since I wasn't a fan of my juice this morning, if juicing JUST fruits has the same effect as veggies. If I do go to just juicing fruits, I would still have veggies with dinner and to snack on like carrots with ranch, etc. So, again, if I were to just juice fruits in my juicer and continue to do so, would I be effected the same as if I were juicing veggies as well?
Thanks!
Hey there,
To be honest, juicing is not what some people crack it up to be. Generally, juicing is FAR inferior to eating the actual vegetable/fruit. The reason for this is that veggies & fruits are one of our primary sources of dietary fibre, which is lost when you juice. Some vitamins are lost also.
This is why replacing or adding one or two daily vegetable/fruit servings with fresh juice is OK, but it really should not exceed that. And frankly it is always better just to eat the fruit/vegetable.
This problem becomes more pronounced when juicing just fruits because the sugar concentration increases. One major study looking at diabetes in women found that eating fruit lowers the chance of diabetes, but drinking fruit juice actually raises it.
Here is part of their conclusion:
The positive association between fruit juice consumption and diabetes risk may relate to the relative lack of fiber and other phytochemicals, the liquid state, and the high sugar load. The rapid delivery of a large sugar load, without many other components that are a part of whole fruits, may be an important mechanism by which fruit juices could contribute to the development of diabetes. Fructose consumption has also been implicated in the development of many manifestations of the insulin resistance syndrome (25,26). Frequent consumption of fruit juices may contribute to a higher dietary glycemic load, which has been positively associated with diabetes in this cohort (27).
You can read about the study here: http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/31/7/1311.full
So, the basic idea is you are better off eating the fruit or vegetable in most cases. Vegetable juice is fine in moderation but it should not be a major replacement for whole veggies. However, if you drink fruit juice, I would limit this to just a serving or so per day and drink it in conjunction with a healthy meal - this should lower the glycemic load (i.e. the sugar spike from the juice should be far less pronounced).
