If I act like someone else in order to be happy, will I be as happy as when I am just myself?
Right now I'm not happy and I would like to act differently.
And how can you tell if you're being something you're not.. or if that really is who you are.

I believe you will be happy when your yourself. I think when youre not yourself, some people can tell if your being fake or not. If your not your self, I think you dont like things as much as you really would being who you truely are. Example, like if you like oldies and rock and you act like you like rap, you'll probably just feel right listening to what you really like. Also, I think that you can start loosing intrest in stuff you dont truely like. Main you should just stay true to yourself and do what makes you happpy
Ok so for about a year now i've had it REALLY bad for this one guy. I mean I've liked other guys before sure, but this .. this is TOTALLY different. When I see him I can't breathe for a while and I just go into shock sort of, but it's a good feeling. My parents love him too.I love his family and I think I love him. ANd me and his mom get along GREAT! and everything is perfect when he's home from college.. so.. am i in love or.. am I crazy?
YOu might be inlove. Im sure if your inlove, you'll know. You probably are. Only you can really tell, cause people have different veiws of love. To me, I think your right.
I have two brothers, one is in high school and one is in collage, i am in middle school. Because of the large age gap, my brothers are great friends but i am left in the dust. Even when im talking directly at one, if the other one comes in, he completely looses focus of me totalk to him. Most of the time, i'll be talking and then someone will inturupt me without saying im sorry or anything and just continue with what they are saying. When i do that i get in alot of trouble for being"rude". I just dont think its fair that they can be so rude and inconsiterate to me. Can someone please tell me if i am overeacting? I mean they are my brothers and i love them to death, so why cant they love me back?
Dont worry, I have two sisters who are really close (same ages) and I kind of get left out. Your probably not over reacting, your just upset that you can't be closer to them like they are to each other, right? I bet they love you back, they are your brothers. Its just alot easier for them to be closer to each other cause they are both guys and probalby have alot in common. But they're your brothers, they love you even if it might not seem like it.

I am short for my age, only like 5 foot and I way around 100 pounds. When I am wearing clothes, I look like I am alot less then 100. ANyways, I kind of have this "pouch" like where my belly button is but above that I am skinnier. How can I get rid of this "pouch" So I have more of a flatter stomach?
Do crunches or sit ups. Keep doing them too, like if you do a certain amount when you wake up, then before you go to bed. You should be starting to have a more toned stomach. Some people are born with a bulky stomach though. Sit ups and crunches should help you out if you stay dedicated to doing them every day . Hope this helped

Its okay to be scared, you probably like him alot and just don't want to loose him. Just try and concentrate on all the good things you two have now, and how you have a good relationship (im guessing you do). Believe him. If he says he wouldn't break up with you, I dont think hes lieing. Just have faith in him. Maybe try and find another guy for your friend to be with so you don't have to worry about him and her. I stumbled across this site by accident. I seriously doubt many of you have the qualifications to give real people proper advice. After reading some of your responses to people's inquiries i was quite astonished as to how teenagers find they are able to give quality advice and information to real people in need with such little life experience. If you ask me you are not in a place to give your "personal opinion" when people truly believe you are giving them the right answer simply because you claim "people think i give really good advice". (eg. i am still at a loss as to how a 17 year old girl thinks she can give advice to someone regarding conceiving a child) I know you try to come across as a "godsend" to poeple who are in some sort of personal crisis and need a fast easy answer but the truth is, in the cases where it really counts, there rarely is one; at least not from you.
You dont know what your talking about. Have a little faith in people. Not everyone is the same on the outside. Im pretty sure a 17 year old girl can know what shes talking about. If you dont' like the site, back the hell off. There arnt just teenagers there are adults answering questions too. This site is amazing.. no matter what you say. Me being a teen, we want help from people our age that actually went threw the same thing. So don't be such a narrowminded person and just dont come back here to bash people.

You can make the back ground red or green. Making backgrounds are easy but they make your picture look really nice. You can make them on paint, of if you know how to already.
My little brother[11] has had heart problems ever since he was little. We just found out[today] that he has to have surgery[this is his 2nd time; the first time he had surgery was when he was a couple of months old.]. One of the valves to his heart is enlarging. I haven't been taking it well at all. I keep crying about it & it gets in the way of other things. For example: when i go to sports[practice], i start to cry because i am so upset. This isnt one of those things that i can just stop thinking about. It is really making me upset.
This is obviously something that is hard to take. If this happened to me, I would just try to spend as much time with my brother as possible. You cant forget this or "get over it" but you can accept it which is even hard. Be greatful for him and just be around him and tell him how much he means to you. Good luck, i hope everything is okay
okay so..this is probably going to be long. sorry!. but anyways umm one day at school i was walking and then this guy was walking with his friend (btw were all in the same grade(10th) as far as i know) so i was walking by them and the guy pushed his friend into me..?( i dont know why) and then again today i was walking to my bus and this other friend of the guy just came up to me and like hugged me, his friend was like im cold then he hugged me.( came out of nowhere, theyre really random) i dont know why i dont even know the guy and his friends. it seems to me that theyre like picking on me =[ and i dont know why. i hate being picked on this has never happened to me or are they just kidding around? but why would they joke around i dont even know their names and who they are. do they seem like theyre picking on me or because one of the guys friend like me or the guy likes me? but i mean i dont know why they would like(crush on me) me im average looking im not pretty and tall. im just average an average looking girl, average height, im quiet, not TOO quiet, people say that im really nice =] i dont know why theyre doing this they dont know me. please help cause i dont know what random thing theyre going to do next. i dont wanna be embarassed i mean i dont wanna tell my parents or my counselor about this cuz it will cause drama and i hate being in dramas. please please help me!! theyre so immature cause were in 11th grade.
(No problem if its long) They are probably just being jackasses. Do you see them alot? Have you ever talked to them before, even if just like a few words before they started being dicks? They probably are the types of guys that are just jjerks and mess around with people and try to be funny. If you never saw them before this started happeneing, they most likely pick on other people the same as jokes. If you see them alot before, and they ask you for hugs and stuff, maybe they are just trying to be flirty but still give off a jackass kind of vibe. About being imbarrassed, sometimes you just got to laugh it off. When I trip or do something stupid, instead of like geting all red i just start cracking up. Its alot easier then beating yourself up cause your imbarrassed. If this has only happened a few times then you dont reallyyyy have to tell your parents or someone else unless you want to. But if they start to do more jerkish things to do you should either tell someone (if its really really buggin you to the point where you want to), or just try to not go by them or be around them for a little. Proactiv i hear is great from the comericals and peoples opions. Someone in my family used it and I dont think it worked to good on her but she wasnt like using it everyday though. I do know something that is good on geting rid of like a certian pimple or spot on your face, its from the Body Shop. People say its kind of like a knock off Bath and Body but my mom sold stuff from there before and they are really good, not a knock off at all. Theyve got this one like, zit stick, and you just put it on whatever pimple you have and it worked really well for me. Its called the Tee Tree Oil Blemish Stick, its awesome.

i would like to lose weight before january to march.. or even christmas. waht do i do so that i can lose some fat in my stomach [i have a flabby stomach =( ] and also my thighs [whenever i walk theyre always touching.. that is not sexy] please help me. i`ve been looking for this [lose weight fast] for a long time. i dont wanna take those medicines or other drugs, i just wanna do something like.. i dont know. lol please help!! i want a nice body.

I dont think theres a way to "loose weight fast" haha. Try doing cruches or sit up every day. Some people are just born with bigger stomachs or thys. I run on the tredmil sometimes, cause my sister has been running alot lately and she lost weight and looks really thin now. Running is also really nice cause you get your frustation out if you have any, and you can always listen to music like an MP3 player or something. If you have an exersize ball and a video or dvd those can be fun to work out on. Im not a big health person so I dont know alot about what to do but there are website you can go to like,

2 days ago after school, i decided to do my homework on the desk right on the computer.(our computer is on a desk thing so you can write on the desk) well on the computer i had absolutatly NOTHING up. no internet, aim, email, AOL, NOTHING related to the internet. i also had the volume up on the computer. well while i was doing my homework, out of no where this man's face pops up on my computer screen. i swear it scared me like hell. i was sick to my stomach. i swear i felt like the face was staring at me or something. i really have no clue how this guy's face popped up.. and im still scared today. can anyone please tell me what the hell this was?? THANK YOU A LOT.
Hah, aw. Dont worry, it might be a virus or something, but people have sent me emails like that before. I hateddd them. Try looking threw your email or bulk if you have an email cause maybe someone sent you a stupid email. Just dont watch any horror movies for a while and if you see a scary comerical change the channel ;).

This could be longer with more details ,but im gonna sum it all up.
Theres this boy, that im like in love with.
About 5 monthes ago me and him did all the sex fooling around things etc.
People found out, [my friend told someone], then he started hating me and my friend.
We said sorry to him and wrote him sorry letters and all that.
He didnt hate us for a few days.
Then when we started trying to get back to normal with him he was giving us the same treatment to when he hated us.
But at lunch, For a FACT
We looked at him and he was STARING at us , like not a quick look, a LONG STARE.And it happened more than once.
Whats going on here? I know i cant get over him becuase i think about him all the time and hes in my dreams like everynight but What do youthink is going through his mind?

He could have been staring at you cause he might still thinkg about you and what happened. I mean, its not easy to forget about sex (if youve only done it a few times with a few people) cause its a big thing to most people. Do you remember it, do you think about it? If you do, he probably does too. Espicallyyyyy if he only gets hugs from his girlfriend. Sometimes you dont even relize you stare at someone cause your mind is blank with everything besides one specific thought. Maybe thats what he was thinking about. Hope this helped

I would just ask him. If he gets mad, just say its a question.. i mean you never know whats true. He might just laugh at it, or he might actually have herpes. Maybe ask him if theres anything important he needs to tell you? He shouldnt get mad, he might feel imbarrassed if he does have it. Hope this helped

Ok,so i had been going out with this guy for about a month. Me and him got along really well..physically and emotionally. I was scheduled to leave on a one week vacation to mexico friday night so he came over before and we had an awesome time. hen i got back from mexico, though, he had left two messages on my voicemail. They said he wasn't ready for a relationship. he left these messages one day after the amazing night we had on friday. later, when i called him back, he said again he wasnt ready and wanted to break it off now before we got emotionally attached. Why would he do this? `Everything was going perfectly in between us, and waht does he mean by not being ready for a relationship? He was ready the week before? please help becuase im confused thanks
I'd be confused too. Maybe he thought of the idea of a big relationship and got scared and didnt want to make any serious commitment. Some people are scared by commitment. He couldd have used that as an excuse to break up cause maybe he lost intrest or didnt like you as much anymore. If thats the case, i wouldnt know why he'd use that as an excuse (scared to hurt you maybe?). You can either just accecpt it- (probably better for you, but very hard and painfully in some cases cause you might not want to let go.. probably because you think theres still hope in being together).. or ask him what the problem is and talk to him about it, probably cause you cant bear not knowing the truth (which might hurt more geting answers to questions you might not want to find out or just have him say alot of hurtful things- maybe not meaning to hurt you). If i was in the situation, depending on the guy and just the way I am, i would probably ask him what happened. But you might be different or the same, so do whichever you need to. I'm going on a date tomorrow and I would like to impress my date. Nothing big like prom but something cute? my hair is a mess and I dont know how to tame it :P my hair is layered and kinda thick. It's shoulder lengthed hair. Maybe a bit shorter than that. I also have short bangs. I'm not sure what to do.
I can't curl it right, because it has these KINKS in them. Unless you can give me tips to help me.

Try scrunching it. It could turn out really cute. You can pin back your bangs or straighten them (haha might sound odd but its fine) or blow dry them straigh. A bow in your hair, cute. Straighening your hair can be nice espically with layers. Good luck
