what does translucent powder do?


also, is there a diff between colorless and translucent?

No, they're the same thing.

Translucent powder is the same as regular powder- it sets your makeup and stops you from looking shiny. The difference is that it doesn't streak or look cakey.

i have oily skin. and i wear foundation EVERYDAY. and the foundation comes right off when ever i sweat.

1 is there such thing as a product that will not come off on your face when you are sweating?

i hate it. its a waste of foundation money!


2 what do you use to make foundation stay. and also your favorite foundation brand.

I have oily skin, too.

The first thing I'd recommend is a mattifying gel or liquid to make your skin less shiny.

Second, avoid liquid foundation like the plague. Powder foundation, especially mineral makeup (I love Maybelline Mineral Power powder and L'oreal Bare Naturale) works wonders. Set it with a TRANSCLUCENT powder. Colored powder will streak when you start sweating. Always carry blotting papers (like Clean and Clear) and powder with you for touchups.

There's a wide variety of colors and they're pretty forgiving, so you don't have to get the exact perfect shade. A little pricey but totally worth the money, makes your skin glow with being shiny.

Colorless (I know, it doesn't look like it). This stuff is amazing, makes your skin look airbrushed and controls shine for hours.

Revlon Colorstay, with the Colorstay powder on top. Powder is the only real way to get foundation to last that long.

Another good one that I love (feels less gross than liquid) is Maybelline Mineral Power, the powder kind.

Does anyone reccomend a good shampoo/conditioner that won't weigh down my waves and accentuate my curls? Please reccomend from experience, not commercials.

I love Herbal Essences Totally Twisted. It gets rid of frizz and defines curls really well.

i curl my eye lashes after i put on mascara cause it looks really good but my eyelashes get stuck to the curler...is that normal? is it bad for my lashes?

That's really not good, your lashes could break off. :( Curl them before, it holds better that way anyway. If you have to do it after, wait a few minutes til your mascara dries.

do you like da brand "covergirl" for makeup?

Random, but their face powders and blushes are scented and smell truly disgusting. Don't really like most of their products. The WetSlicks lipgloss (NOT the fruit kind) is good, and so is the LashBlast mascara. That's about it.

1 Using a shampoo and conditioner made specifically for wavy hair will make a big difference. is that statement true? i dont think so...? i used the sunsilk one and theres no difference.

2. whats a goood hair product for newly dyed brunette hair? to make it glow and long lasting color?

I really don't like most Sunsilk products, they're very cheap (in the bad way). I have slightly wavy hair, I use the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted and have waves or, if i use scrunching gel, curls.

I really like the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette. Any shampoo you use, just make sure it says "Safe for color-treated hair" (and most lines make a kind specifically for that) so it doesn't strip your color.

You can't get quality makeup for cheap. You really do get what you pay for. Cheap makeup has cheap ingredients, peels/flakes/cakes/looks awful.

i have natural wavy hair with a lil loose curls.

Try beachy waves. After showering, apply a tiny amount of shine serum. Let it air dry for about half an hour, then use a sea salt spray and scrunch.
You could also try gel-creme and a diffuser.

Technically you can, but you shouldn't. It looks thick, unnatural, cakey, and isn't great for your skin.

Loose is what makeup artists use. It works way better. Pressed is only good because you can carry it around with you for touchups.

I need an eyeliner that won't smear at ALL.
I know theres gottta be one out there. Price doesn't matter. I just want it to stay on perfectly all day. Oh and it needs to be a pencil, I dont like liquid.

The cheap option is Revlon ColorStay.

I don't know that it works, it's very harsh. But I can tell you that it tastes absolutely horrible and I don't recommend it.

why do you use bronzeliner for smokey eye?wer does it go?

The same place you put regular black eyeliner, then smudge up. It's a lot more natural looking.
