There's a guy I like, and I'm thinking about telling him how I feel. Well, there's a big dance coming up and I was thinking about telling him then. Maybe while we slow dance or something... but then again, that could make it awkward. Any ideas/tips on what I should say and when I should say it? Thanks!

I think that you should get him alone and not around his friends, because if he drops a hint that he doesn't really want to go out with you, it saves you the humiliation of his friends, unless they're really nice. But you know how some guys react. Just be comfortable with yourself, try not to freeze, and just be casual and comfortable around him, don't be stressed and uptight or that can lead to you saying some mean things or something.

So, me and my boyfriend just bought a house and the previous owners apparently never raked the leaves up, so the yard was full of leaves and trash and various poo's. Yesterday, we just got the last of the leaves raked up, and throughout noticed that there were a few piles of dog poo that weren't there the day before. I didn't think much of it, because I assumed that whoever left it just assumed that since the area was full of leaves and trash, that we wouldn't mind or notice a little "fertilizer".


But, today, just one day after getting the lawn trash and leaf-free, we noticed yet another pile of dog poo.


My questions are...
How can I catch whoever is letting their dog poo in our yard?
And, What should I do to make them stop?

Just so you know, the law in my town is a $500 fine for getting caught for not picking up after your dogs, but no one ever gets caught even though we live 50 feet from the police station.

My aunt had the same problem. Her neighbor is like one of those crazy pet people and she has 3 dogs and 5 cats. They used to poop in my aunt's yard, and then my aunt finally called the animal patrol and they told the lady that if she didn't watch after her pets, she would be fined. So it has stopped ever since.

I'm a 17 year old female and I need some advice about getting my nails done for prom. I've never had them done before, so I don't even know what to expect. What I want is a french manicure on the arcryllic nails. Is this what I ask for when I go to the salon? And how long do my real nails have to be in order to have the fake ones put on?

I'll rate high for good advice. Thanks.

Some extra things to check:

If you're getting a pedicure also, make sure that their tub is clean so that you don't get an infection. And check if they have their license.

I am in a play for school and its called "Poetry Coffee House". I need to wear a costume thats like from that period where they went to coffee houses and read poetry and snapped for applause. also when they talked like(this is a line in the play): Hey chaz, what you folks are gonna' see tonight is like.... alot.
I dont think we are supposed to dress like hippies but all our director said so far is the boys should wear barrets. please help i desperatly need it!

okk so i've been going out with this kidd for only like..7 days. and he called me and im like can i call you back in a little bit. the only thing is i have NO clue what to talk about?!?! i mean we have nothing in common?!? what should i say?!?

My answer is mostly like what everyone else said. Get to know him better, thats one of the ways that you can find out things about him and actually talk about it. If you guys like the same band, talk about their next tour or a new cd or some of your favorite songs. Just be active, and don't be shy around him. After all, he is your boyfriend.

Hey I'm an eigth grade girl and i have a major problem!! I just got in a big fight with this mean girl and now we are enemies. anyway we both like the same boy. i think he might like me too, but i want him to ask me out. how do i get him to ask me out and not her?

It's like the old saying, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. Or something like that. Don't pick fights with her, you'll make it worse. Try to get some alone time with him where she won't interrupt you guys. When you're talking with him, don't think about her, it might make you freeze up and really stressed.

My school's choir is doing a cabaret show and I have a solo in the song "Popular" from the play Wicked. I can sing the solo very well but I have a problem with singing infront of my class. I can sing infront of other people just not infront of the class. I need to practice with everyone so I can get it down perfectly. So, my question is... How do I get rid of my nerves or atleast be able to sing without a shakey voice? I try to tell myself they will judge me no matter how I sound but it doesn't seem to help.

I remember my solo in our choir concert. I had to sing a song from the Big Band Era. My music teacher gave me good advice, she told me to look just above the audience's heads and not look at them so it really actually looks like you're watching them but you're just staring at the wall.

It takes practice, don't be nervous, if there are any other people doing solos, I'm sure that they have an equal part in being nervous also.
