im going to get my ears pierced (3rd holes)
if i just go to claires to get them done do i need a parent to sign something?
im 17 btw.
Well, where I live you have to be 18 to get something pierced. I turned 18 last month and got a piecing at Claire's on my birthday actually and I had to show my id and stuff. Good luck
i've been molested, as a child. it happened often and i've tried so hard to block it out but now i feel like it defines me. nobody knows, i can't say anything nobody will believe me. everybody will hate me. he ruined me. i picture how my life would be if it never happened, the way i am now is horrible. i make so many mistakes just trying to make myself feel better but nothing works. i dont know what to do, i cant talk to anybody. im 16, this happened the summer going into 5th grade then into the year.
nothing makes it go away i don't know what to do i want to die so badly.
I was molested more than once too. Maybe I shouldn't bother answering since i am not over it myself. But since i'm speaking from experience, maybe i can help. I know that the people who told you to tell someone are right, but i haven't told anyone either, so i can't exactly sit here and tell you to do that. But, this also happened to my best friend by the same person, so i have her to talk to about it and having someone to talk to about it does help. But i know how hard it is to tell someone. If you want to tell someone, ignore all other factors, like worrying that people will hate you, or won't believe you. Someone you trust should believe you. Or, you can tell someone like a counselor who will believe you. I know in my case, it gave me serious trust issues. Like, believing all males are terrible people and will do awful things to you. With time, i've come to realize that even though someone you thought you could trust would do something like this to you, not everyone is like that. Try surrounding yourself with people you can trust. I think that helps. I don't know if you blame yourself, but i know that i did.. or do, but you have to keep telling yourself that you can't control other people's actions and aren't responsible for what happened to you. I was in denial about it for a while and once you can be open with yourself about it, that does help. I'm not sure something like this will ever go away, but it's all about how you deal with it. What i think is key, is to not blame yourself, and to try to believe that not everyone is like this. I'm sure we both know that therapy would help, but i'm completely with you because i know telling someone isn't as easy as people think. Maybe someday we will work up the courage to tell someone; until then focus on not blaming yourself and being around people you trust. I'm sorry if this wasn't very helpful, but i hope it helps to know that there's someone out there going through the same thing. Feel free to leave a message anytime if you need to.
Oh and thank you, because this is the first time i've ever spoke openly about it to someone other than that friend.
so heres my story. i had sex unprotected about a week and a day ago. it was the pull out method. soo i took the plan b pills. usually when i take them ill get my period exactly 7 days after. yeah that didnt happen this time. so about 2 days after i was suppose to get it from the pills i took a pregnancy test and it came up neg. last time i got my period was at the end of last month. so im due for it coming up. does anyone have any advice or relationship to this situation?
Did you take the plan b pill when you were supposed to? I think you are probably fine. Like the other person said, i bet you're just late. Good luck.
Can someone tell me what gas law equation I'd use for any type of gas law problem? (ex. if the pressure and temperature is given, you'd use _____ law.)
ex. Boyle's law, Charles' law, ideal gas law, etc.
You'd use Charles' law.
is it illegal in the state of massachusetts for an 18 year old girl who is dating a 16 year old boy to have sex? like wut is the age of consent type of thing?
You might want to look at this age of consent chart. http://www.ageofconsent.com/ageofconsent.htm
it says all the ages for every state. for MA, it looks like it'd be ok since 16 is the age of consent.
so i got my belly button periced yesterday..
and im a 15yr old female..
i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips?
&& how long did you leave yours in before changing it?
thx.
ohh yea, and i use "H2Ocean" spray :]
thx.
and i have a barbell in , if that matters?
i got mine pierced last summer. the guy who did it raved about the h2ocean spray and said it was great and all you needed to keep it clean, so you should be good in terms of keeping it clean. i kept mine in for a month before i changed it and so did my friend. I know you're supposed to leave it in longer, but i didn't and it turned out fine. I've never had a problem. So, just make sure you keep using your spray and i think you will be great.
my mom is having surgery on wednesday because she has a hole in her heart and i'm really scared, what are the chances of living & the risks? any further information is greatly appreciated..thank you
no google please
hey. this is something that could be better answered by the doctor. People on this site don't know the specifics of your mom's condition and surgery. I wouldn't want you to hear something on here that wasn't true and have it freak you out or anything. So, my advice would be to talk to her doctor about it, or even another doctor. I hope this helps and i wish you the best of luck with everything.
i want whiter teeth without going to the dentist and
getting it done. like i want a toothpaste that whitens
teeth. any advice?
You can use crest white strips. They work pretty well. You put these strips that have teeth whitening gel like stuff on them on your teeth and leave them on for a little while. Or, you could you a teeth whitening toothpaste. I use crest night effects. You use it at night and it loosens stains on your teeth, so that it will whiten them when you brush in the morning. It's been working pretty well. Hope this helps!
Is that really good for you? or is it like another fake thing?
cause now i had my first sip and i love it and i loved the idea that its good for you.
but is it true?
thankks=]
( 14/f if that matters lol )
Yeah, it's good for you. It has a lot of vitamins and stuff that are good, but it does have some calories in it. But other than that, yeah, it's pretty healthy.
does getting your cartilidge pierced hurt? does it hurt more than an eaerlobe piercing? and how long do you have to wait before you can take it out ? thank youu.
I have two cartilidge piercings, but i did them myself. It didn't really hurt that bad, so getting it done professionally probably wouldn't hurt that bad either. Plus, i have friends who got it professionally done and they said it didn't really hurt. You are supposed to wait a while. They might tell you to wait several months. I changed mine after a lot less than that, so i wouldn't really worry about it. Good luck!
15/f I believe that's how you spell it? It's the pill, I think. Well....my friend has been talking about it. And she said that it works to remove a person's acne. But she said that there are some SERIOUS side effects (or could be). The thing is, I told my dad that it's a pill...and my dad's like a health freak. He, right away, assumes that Acutane is a steroid. and he tells me that there are hormones, and something bad will happen. Well, my acne's pretty damn bad. And I've been trying almost EVERY single on-the-counter acne medication (including proactiv) and nothing seems to work. This is probably like my last chance. But I can't convince my dad. :( is there anything healthy about acutane with which I can prove to my dad that it's helpful? Thanks so much!
Tell him that with any pill or anything, you will always hear about bad stuff that happened to someone. But with accutane, there are much more people who are extremely happy with their results. If you get an accutane brochure, it will list a ton of side effects, but that's just because they don't want to get sued. All drug companies do that. If you talk to a dermatologist, they will tell you that accutane is a great drug and works wonders. Explain to your dad that it is safe and it the best acne treatment out there. Tell him that having acne really bothers you and you are getting frustrated with nothing working. Make sure he knows that this is important to you and that you need to get it. Good luck.
now does it not say who your in a facebook relationship with anymore??
No, you can choose have it say who are not. The person has to put in the person's name. People can also choose to just have it say "In a Relationship" without having it say who it's with.
is it rude to ask for a 20 dollar fee to enter a teen club for a birthday party? keep in mind that i'm puting on the inviattion dont bring gifts. and the 20 dollars goes towards entrance fee, cake, and soft drinks? cause my parents are divorced and my party is 20$ per person and i have 30 people coming. so is that rude? or does anybody have ideas on how to raise money quick?
thanxs
Well maybe you could tell people that all you want for your birthday is money because you need it. That way, people won't feel like they're paying to go to a party, they'll feel like they're giving you a birthday present and you'll still be able to help pay for the party. Good luck.
i submitted this question once already but it like didn't go through so i fixed it up a bit..
alright well..
one of my friends has very strict parents. so they were looking at her search history and found her myspace. they also found mine.
i'm not aloud to have a myspace. my parents made it very clear that if i had one, i'd be in deep trouble. i wouldnt be allowed on the computer for a long time and when i am allowed to my parents would watch my every move. so on AIM, i cant talk to anyone about private stuff.
i deleted my account already but i dont know what to do. my friends dad said hes going to tell my parents. her dad is going to say he saw it a few days ago so there's no hiding that i actually did have one.
i really don't know what to do. i don't want to get in trouble and loose my computer rights. last resort would be to come clean but i don't want to have to do that. i need to get out of this situation. i really need help, and FAST!! please, does anyone have any advice?
thank you sooooooooooooooo much. you dont know how incredibly bad i need advice.
Ok, some people might not agree with me on this, but i'm going to be honest with you here. If it were me, i'd get rid of the myspace like you did and then if my parents confronted me about it, i'd say i didn't have one. I'd be like you can search my name on myspace or whatever and you won't find me. You could say that one of your friends has pictures of you on their myspace and your friends parents must've seen that and thought it was yours. You know, something like that. Lying probably isn't your first choice or anything, but i think it's pretty serious to have no privacy on the computer anymore and not to be able to use it for a long time. Maybe it's just me, but that's what i'd do.
Well, good luck with everything!
ok so im basically like on that last day of my period
but
yesterday i changed my pad before i went to sleep and i woke up late so i forgot to change my pad... then in the middle of the day (like 1 ish) it started smelling so afterschool i went o my frined but all she had was a pantliner but i took it
my ? is am i gunna get like tss or something cause the pad was on for a long time or is it only w/tampons?
TSS is only with tampons. Don't worry about it.
Why is it that i'm not allowed to change my belly button ring for 6 months after i got it done? Would somthing bad happen if i did (it's about a month later)? If i did it really carefully and made sure it was really clean.
Ok i'm not gonna lie to you. I've had mine pierced 6 months now, but i changed it for the first time after 1 month. My friend did after one month as well. I just quickly put the new one in and had no problem. It did hurt a little but changing it, but no big deal. I've never had any problem with it, no infections or anything. You're always safer to follow their directions, but in my opinion, after something has been in you for a month strraight, it's not gonna immediately grow it when it's out for a few seconds while you change it. It's your choice.
Oh, and you wouldn't have trouble finding the piercing.. it's pretty think. Can't miss it.
Good luck!
so in seventeen magazine this girl was like to make my hair soft shiny and healthy, i comb olive oil through it, leave it in for an hour and rinse it out twice a month. so i did that last night and today my hair was like wet looking or extremely greasy looking or something and it felt so gross and now i can't get rid of it like i keep washing and drying and nothing happens... does anyone know what i could do?!
ive done oil treatments and other treatments like that before. and yeah, its hard to get rid of the greasiness. what i'd do is rub a bunch of shampoo through my hair and let it sit for a minute and then rinse & repeat a few times. good luck.
okay well i have wanted a cartilage peircing for a verrry long time. i've peirced my ears 4 times without infections and stuff, but only on the lobe. i've HEARD that it's very dangerious to peirce my cartilage MYSELF. but i really want to do it.
while i will most likely do this nomatter what advice i get here, i really would like your input on how dangerous this is. i've heard crazy stories about peoples ears getting amputated and things like that. i dont know, i just need somebody who knows what they're talking about from experience.
oh and btw i was also thinking about my nose. i would also like advice on that.
thanks!! =)
i pierced my cartilage myself twice. once when i was drunk and my friend pierced her's as well. It basically turned out fine. My has gotten a little irritated, but clean it up, and its fine. There are all sorts of horror stories about most things; i'm sure you'll be fine. =)
I dont know what to do anymore. My face is bothering me SO much. I can't have proactive anymore. I've tried every product. I have had the same acne for months.. I dunno.. for a year or longer. It's just not going away. What can I do?
It's killing my confidence. It's like I'm the only one with acne at school. I can tell who's wearing coverup since I had to wear makeup for years for my acne. I can't keep my head up because people just stare. And i dont know.
It looks like i have a lot of acne.. but it seems like it's all scars and cysts.
I dont know what products to try because most just make my skin WORSE.
If I go to a derm.. could they really help me?
I've already tried the medicated creams.
My face just looks rough and red.. just gross.
I always wanted smooth skin but I guess I won't get it.
Don't tell me to wash my face because I already do. I don't over wash my face or anything. Just once or twice a day. I'm not rough with my skin either.
Somebody suggested Birth Control but I heard that can make acne lots worse. Is that true?
im sorry =(. defffinitely go to a dermatologist though. they can prescribe you different washes and creams that will do a lot more than anything OTC can. And maybe, if it comes down to it, you could go on accutane. It's basically an acne wonder drug. Hope this helps.
My acne has been a constant battle for the past 3 years. I've been on Accutane twice. I've done everything out there that you can do. And I was wondering if any of you have ever tried or used Proactiv. What do you think? I know it's from an Infomercial, but so mean celebrities & people claim that it's awesome. Right now they have a special 30-day kit for $20. I think I'm gonna try it. Give me some feedback on it please. :]
What happened with the accutane? Accutane is the best out there. So, if accutane didnt work for you, pro active might not either. Maybe you should consider going on accutane a third time, even though it is a pain in the ass; i know. well good luck!
