Constant battle with skin!

Question Posted Thursday August 10 2006, 8:16 pm

My acne has been a constant battle for the past 3 years. I've been on Accutane twice. I've done everything out there that you can do. And I was wondering if any of you have ever tried or used Proactiv. What do you think? I know it's from an Infomercial, but so mean celebrities & people claim that it's awesome. Right now they have a special 30-day kit for $20. I think I'm gonna try it. Give me some feedback on it please. :]

My friend tried Pro Activ and it didnt work at ALL for her. It made certain spots on her face all dried out and flaky and then there was no improvment on the acne she had. Ill bet money that half the people on here saying yeah it works great blah blah blah have never even tried it or known someone with it, they just think it works from the commercials. And its also REALLY expensive for refills. Waste of money.

What happened with the accutane? Accutane is the best out there. So, if accutane didnt work for you, pro active might not either. Maybe you should consider going on accutane a third time, even though it is a pain in the ass; i know. well good luck!

YES! Proactiv is deff. a great solution. && like you said, even though it was an infomercial, it`s still true. You should try it first, and if you like it, buy the regular kit. =)

it doesnt work for some people i guess b/c everyone has different skin types

id ask you dermatologist about it
and if you dont have a dermatologist
maybe you should see one b/c if your acne is really bad, they can help ALOT
good luck!

i used it for over a month and i didnt see any resultes.. to me it was basically a waste of money because after that 30-day kit refills are really expensive.. and those celebrities get paid to say there.. there is not nec and truth to them
