okay. so, i've been talking to this boy at school, right. well he had a girlfriend, who was also one of my close friends. i'm just getting to know this boy btw. and so we talked at school one day then i talked to him on the computer at home, and he said he's breakin up w/ his girl cos she is boring. wellllll, after they break up, he asks me if i wanna go out. i said sure if his ex didn't get mad. & of course she didn't care bcos she's really sweet. and so we date, and it was really awkward for me, & i think him, when we talked. i'm never shy around guys. i can't be myself around him or anything... so he broke up w/ me & said i didn't spend enough time w/ him. so the next day i was talkin to him & i told him i would hang out with him more. & we went back out & we talked more, but not a whole lot. & of course we broke up. i really like him & all. but it's really weird when we're together. we both agreed we'd try dating again when we got use to eachother & could be ourselves. how can i be myself around him? Just treat him as you would any other friend. Figure out what you have in common and talk about those things. Don't rush the whole "romance" part of the relationship. It will either come along or it won't.
When all is said and done you may just like each other as friends. :)

I think it would be safe to ask him. Most boys his age will be quick to run the other way if they don't like a girl, or just be rude. Doesn't sound like he avoids you, and even enjoys talking to you. So ask him.
Everyone fears rejection. In order to get things you want in this life though, you have to take the risk.
If he should say no, you move on. It will hurt but
you'll get over it.
Trust those instincts and ask. Bet he says yes! :)

Don't feel guilty or like a slut. You have done nothing wrong.
You are 15 and can't live your life waiting for someone who lives far away. You haven't spent face time with the out of town guy for years. Of course you are friends, and may even love each other in a way, but just putting your lives on hold isn't the smart thing to do.
I am going to guess that he likes someone close to home too and just doesn't want to tell you. That would explain the lack of communication. Its probably something you need to talk about.
For now, I would suggest you think about "dating" someone close enough to take you out and treat you special. Don't give up your friendship with the out of town guy, but you both need time to grow and you have to date people who can go with you to school dances and those kind of things.
You will always have a special relationship with that guy you knew when you were 12. He has done a lot of changing since then and so have you. If it
is meant to be, it will be in the future. Right now though it just isn't going to work. :)

Hi, it's me again (the person who asked about marijuana in the body system)..I was wondering why it's considered the "safest" drug..and why it's illegal if it is "safe." Also, I took five hits..do you think I got high? I have nothing to compare it to so I don't know. I do know that I felt a little calm, but everything around me was FUNNY. You probably were. I don't know why its considered safer than others. I suppose because the likelihood of it killing you because you do it once is low compared to others.
I personally don't understand why it is illegal. They should legalize it and rip us off on taxes like they do with cigarettes! LOL. The few I know who use it function as normally as anyone else. They don't go to parties and get wasted, they smoke it occasionally as I suppose one might drink a beer.
Since it is illegal and you are underage even for smoking a cigarette I have to advise you don't do it. Having a clear head isn't a bad thing at all.
Plus you can torment the loony toons for their behavior later. :)

Last night was my very first time smoking marijuana..I know, STUPID..but I just wanted to try it..I'm 16, about 110 lbs and I had five hits. I now REGRET smoking it because I'm worried my school might do random drug testing on me. Do you know how long it might take for it to leave my system..say if they were going to do a saliva test? Hits is the correct slang. I don't use it myself but no several people who do. :)
It takes anywhere from 5-12 days for all of it to be gone. It is said it is one of the least harmful drugs to use, however, it also takes a long time to leave your system. The 5-12 days is for infrequent users.
I did read one article, and I don't know how true it is that said a saliva test can't detect use after 48 hours. Hope that helps! :)

Ok so I got asked to prom by this guy i go to church with and my boyfriend doesn't seem to care. But here lately he's kinda been acting wierd! He says that he trusts me and that he know's that he has nothing to worry about, but I know it bugs him. What do I do to let him know that he can trust me, and then how do I know if he believes me?? Is this a long distance romance? Is it your prom or the boy from churches prom?
If he says he trusts you, then you pretty much have no choice but to believe him. Doesn't mean he still can't be upset because you are going out with someone else. No matter how hard he tries he can't help but be a little jealous. I'm sure you would be if the situation were reversed.
All you can do is explain the situation and hope he believes you. I'm sure he does. Just a little jealous, which is natural. :)

My parents think I have sleep apnea because I get in bad moods allot, and I fall asleep all the time, and snore. Does anyone on here have sleep apnea or know symptoms? I'm getting tested for it this summer but I just want to know if anyone on here knows anything about it. (link)

I have it. I snored. My husband says he thought I wasn't breathing.
Other than that, I would wake up with a headache almost every morning. It would go away after I had been up awhile. I would be sleepy all the time. I could fall asleep just sitting.
To be tested they will have you come spend the night at the sleep clinic. They hook all these wire like things all over you. It doesn't hurt at all. They monitor your breathing, they get an amazing amount of info. They also watch you with cameras, which creeped me out a little but I guess it was ok.
I had to go in twice. The first time, for some reason, they didn't get all the info they needed.
Halfway through the night they are supposed to wake you and put you on a C-Pap machine so they can compare. I guess I didn't sleep enough to suit them. :) They were baffled because I didn't move around in my sleep. Didn't the second time either.
So you might learn some weird stuff about yourself!
If you do have it they will get you a C-PAP machine (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure).
At first you will absolutely hate it. I must have threw my mask across the room a million times.
At first the air coming through there is really
horrible. You try to talk and air comes out of your mouth...it takes some getting used to. You do
get used to it though. It just takes time.
If you get tested and have to have one, feel free
to email me with any questions you have. You will feel so much better once you get used to it.

Nope. You can only get pregnant if sperm enters the vagina. So if you have never had sex you are not pregnant. Teens will occasionally miss a period. It is nothing to worry about. :)

It happened before but its happened 5 times today.. He threw up in the morning some chicken he had ate! Is it basically just getting out of his system or should i be worried.. Its definitely not blood.. Most of its just regular like Water/ Saliva but its colored like yellowish as usual.. Respond ASAP! (link)

This may not apply to you but I will mention it anyway since you say it has happened before.
I had a pup who started throwing up all the time when he was 5 or 6 months old. He was a large dog breed. His problem as it turned out was his guts got twisted. I'm sure there is a professional name for it but that was the vets way of putting it. I guess this is common in big chested dogs, like German Shepard size. He simply couldn't digest his food.
So if it continues, do get him to a vet. If he is an older dog, this probably doesn't apply. They get tangled because they are active and jump and play a lot. :)

If you give them the reference number they can look up your case. Thats all it is.
If you have had property stolen and filed a report, or anything like that, thats probably what the deal is. I suppose you could be in trouble, but if that were the case they would be hunting you down.
Could be you owe money and someone is taking you to court. Some officers just deliver paperwork. :)

Hey, I was just wondering what that was all about. If you look at their column, its a 'clique' of girls. I thought it was kind of weird at first, but if you read about each girl it has things like "I'm the prettiest" "I'm the poorest". What do you, DN, and other higher level columnists think of things like this? Their advice is basically fine, nothing weird about that, but it seemed kind of planned or set up.
