I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

I have 15 tattoos, and 8 piercings. I'm married and just gave birth to a baby boy in May. I'm currently a SAHM so you can find me taking care of my son and binge-watching television while he naps.

This isnt about me but its about my bestfriend and her boyfriend. She is absoutly sure she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. They havent been dating all that long but shes sure she loves him and would do anything for him. When they were together the other day they both started gettin very sexual and almost went all the way. she really wants to but shes scared of the chances on getting preagnet 1. can you get preagnet if your on your period? 2. when are you most likely to get preagnet? 3. if you use protection are you at high risk or any at all?

[1] You can get pregnant at any time, even on your period.

[2] On the ovulation days, I believe.

[3] Condoms are 98% effective, and I believe that birth control is 99% effective. They could be the same though. Anyways, if used properly, you shouldn't get pregnant.

i ordered for the magazine like.. a couple days into the beginning of july. i paid 10 bucks to the company, because it was a special offer and i'd get this cool bag and 1-2 years of teen vogue. now, about 3-4 weeks later, i still havent gotten it yet! HELP! or is this supposed to happen? how long does it take to come? it says its a back to school issue, so wouldn't i get it around now?

Usually orders take a little longer than a month to get there. If you check the card or whatever, it'll say that you should allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. If it doesn't come in the next month, call them & see what's up with your oder.

You know that you are smoking cancer sticks...and you are ONLY 16. You are screwing up your life, and if someone finds that pic and sends it to the police they can have you arrested. I wont, but someone might. It's not cool, and it doesnt even make you look cool. and quite frankly, i dont want any advice from someone who smokes illegally...i mean, you DO know that you're underage right? PS...your lungs are turning black right now and you might end up like the guy on that smoking commercial with a hole in his neck if you dont quit.

I don't care. I'm going to do what I want & what makes me happy. If doing things like that make me happy, then so be it. I'm not smoking to "be cool" or to "look cool" so before you know the whole story about me & my life, don't say anything to me.

I realize you care, but it doesn't give you the right to lecture me about the way I live my life. I'll be fine, and if the police want to arrest me, then they can arrest basically everyone I know. There are people younger than me who smoke, so lecture them too. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to keep doing what makes me happy. And yes, I know I'm underage & blahblahblah. I haven't forgotten that I'm 16. Why would I? I'm not an idiot.

And if you don't want advice from me, then cool. I don't really care. There are plenty of people who will take my advice unless you decide to boycott me. It depends on the guy. Guys are all different & like different things, so it's best you ask some of your guy friends this.

[1] Yes. I'm spoiled & not ashamed to admit it. My parents [my mom, specifically] spoils me like there's no tomorrow. She buys me whatever I want, when I want. Sometimes she'll make me work for it, but that's hardly ever the case. Another reason why she spoils me is because I'm the baby of the family & she just feels the need to make me happy. My mother just loves me & wants me happy, I guess. I'm spoiled WITHOUT the brat.

[2] I'm neutral on this. So, yes/no. I'd be happy because I'd have the things I want, but would I truly be happy? Materialistic people get nowhere in life, and your clothes can't love you like a person can. So I think I'd be happy with these things, but I wouldn't be truly happy until I found someone I loved. So again, yes and no.

[3] A tantrum to me is screaming, being snotty, threatening someone with hateful words or actions, being pouty & snooty until you get your way. And just being a bitch over stupid things that mean nothing.

No. It's actually much worse. Doubling condoms causes friction & can cause them to both break, so you should stick to only using one condom.

The best way to "double up" is having birth control pills & condoms. Stay safe!

I'm 13 years old & female.
I've been really depressed lately..
Not when I'm around my family or friends,
so they don't notice it.
I try to be happy around them.
I just need help.
When I'm alone I get really sad & it gets hard for me to breathe..
& I don't even know WHY I'm feeling like this.
I don't want any websites or hotlines.
I just need to do something to help myself.
Any advice?

I've been in that exact same boat, so you're definitely not alone. I've been suffering with this since I was about 12-13, so that's about 3-4 years for me.

Depression is a hard thing to overcome without the proper medical attention. You can TRY to overcome it, but chances are, you won't. Although you want to hide it, I suggest you tell someone so they can get you help. No one should have to deal with depression. It can really mess you up, so I really hope you get the proper help.

Until you decide to do so, there are things you can do right now. Whenever I was depressed, I turned to music. It took me a while to let people in, so music was my outlet. I would listen to it around the clock, simply because it was something I loved, and it cheered me up. To this day, music is still what helps me out. If you don't want to turn to music, try writing/drawing/painting. Anything creative can calm you & make you feel whole. I'm not exactly a Van Gogh or an anime artist, BUT I am a good writer, and by writing a lot, I only got better. Writing is a good outlet too because you can vent your feelings in anyway you want without causing any type of damage to yourself & it's a release.

Other ways to help cope with the overwhelming feelings of depression are to spend time with friends. You may pretend to be happy around them, but friends can help in more ways than you think. You should talk to your friends about your problems. Do you have a best friend that's almost like a brother/sister? If so, talk to them. Chances are, they can help you out & you'll be glad you did. When I actually decided to let people in, the first person I turned to was my best friend. I was too scared to get myself help [I was cutting, too] & she got it for me. Because of her, I am who I am today, and I wouldn't be this strong without her.

If you don't feel like talking to friends or family, I'll be glad to talk with you. I'm not a trained professional, and I don't know the best ways to help, but I can try my hardest to see fit that you get the help you need. If you'd like to talk, all of my information is on my column. Good luck!

one of my guy friend's older brother is 16 and totally cute! i like everything about him, hes in a band, hes nice, hes funny. everything. so my friend is always saying how how his brother thinks i am. i got a little discouraged because i only see him when i hang out at my friends house. but; today he asked me to come into the other room so he could play me a private preformance. i was thrilled and he played me a few new songs he wrote, then we hooked up. then i went back and hung out with my friend. i dont know if there will ever be anything more. any advise?

I believe she's going to school for fashion design & just fashion in general. I'm pretty sure that her internship with Teen Vogue is just working in the fashion business & getting a taste of what it's actually like.

It's very possible. Wash your face everyday, use a good facewash & get some acne cream from the store. I suggest anything by Clean & Clear or Neutrogena.

ok..so i was wondering if there was any way for me to whiten my teeth at home??i heard baking soda works, but its also bad for your teeth..so i definitely need some help =)

Brush your teeth after every meal, & floss when you can. Try not to eat/drink things that'll stain your teeth & try not to smoke.

If you want to buy a specific product, use Crest Whitening Strips. If you don't want to spend about $40 trying to whiten your teeth, buy whitening toothpaste.

how can i possibly lose significant weight on my arms, stomach, and my legs, the latter without losing weight in my thighs?? thanx in advance for any tips =]

You can't. When you lose weight, it affects all of your body, not just one part.

Can Drinking lots of water speed up your period? Is there anything that can? Im about to go on vation in 5days and im not sure i will be off then.

I don't think so. Nothing can really "speed" your period up. Just take it as it comes. It won't last forever.

You can try the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. If that doesn't seem to work, maybe go back to the store & see what they suggest you clean it with. Explain the situation & see what they tell you.

I hope you can get it off. I'd be pissed.
