Question Posted Thursday August 2 2007, 11:52 pm

Does anyone know of a website where you can type in the definition of a word and it will give you the word with that definition? Instead of typing in the word and getting the definition?

Hey! I know what you're talking about... it's called a reverse dictionary and a good one (well pretty much the only one) I found was at:
www.onelook.com/reverse-dictionary.shtml

Example, I typed: "running at maximum speed" and I got:
1. race
2. sprint
3. run

(along with a bunch of other words, but the first few are the most accurate)

Hope I helped. :)

I don't think so. The most I know of is www.dictionary.com

I don't know any sites like that though, sorry!
