I understand what you're going through. You both are probably just scared to start any relationship yet, so I think you should probably just get to know him better until you both are comfortable with eachother. You know what I mean? Like, what's the point of going out with someone if you aren't comfortable with them yet? You see, I really like this guy too. He's older than me and I find it hard to get to know him because I made a mistake by telling him I liked him before he got to know me. Now I'm trying to become friends with him first so I suggest you try to do the same thing. I understand you're shy because I can be too with someone I like. Hopefully both of us will be able to be less shy around guys we like if we both try haha.

I agree with the point you're trying to make. Let's just face it : people think they're hilarious with the way they act stupid and they do it for attention. I think advicenators should delete people's advice collumns if they act like this because they're not doing what this site is for, which is helping people. No matter how much we all complain about these stupid people though, nothing is going to change with all the people on this web site.

If you have your period, you can't be pregnant. Tell your friend everything is fine .. no big deal.

How old Should a child be when they start dating?

When the child is old enough to understand what can happen emotionally and physically. I think it just depends on how mature they are and when they're mature enough on what to do so they'll be safe in the situation. For parents .. it's a little different I think. My dad says I should be seventeen when I start dating (yeah right! I'm not waiting that long!). Although, my mom says fourteen and fifteen is good to start dating for real (okay, I can agree with that). In my opinion, twelve and thirteen.

i was just wondering what people think of glasses. do you find them nerdy or attractive? i have to wear glasses fullo time and i am wondering if contacts are the way to go or should i wear glasses but i dont want to seem like a four eyes freak. any inputs are appreciated.

It depends on the glasses and the person. I wear glasses for school and stuff and some people say I should get contacts but 1: my mom won't let me and 2: I have a problem with eyedrops and touching my eyes so I'd have problems putting them in. Other people say they like me better with glasses so it just depends. I wear thin glasses that make my eyes look bigger since they're a tiny bit bigger then my eyes. I honestly think glasses can make a person really stand out and look nice.

There is a guy I really like at my dance studio. He is so cute and a really good dancer ( yes he is even though he does does ballet) but how do I get him to notice me? From what I have heard and observed, he is into the skinny ballerinas (absolutely not me in any way, shape, or form, literally. You can't make anyone like you, so I suggest just being friends with her before going into anything too quickly because that might make her uncomfortable (unless she wants to start quickly and you both agree on that). Flirt with her a little bit, give her compliments and give her an idea of how you feel about her. She'll repsond with how she feels and if she's into you, ask her out. If she's not into you, just follow your heart and do what's best.

Today I decided to completley put my faith and trust into God, I really took him into my life today. However, I just started going to church last year so I was never baptised and never confirmed. Can I still expect to go to Heaven? What exactly does being confirmed or baptised mean?

Being baptised doesn't make you go to heaven, only loving Jesus and accepting him into your heart will. I was never baptised, and as Christians we only believe that being baptised will confirm to everyone else that you really love God, but it doesn't stop you from going to heaven if you don't. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart, so I am going to heaven (by what the Bible says, anyway).

Alright so a few nights ago I got really, really drunk. Like, I can't even remember anything besides taking the shots.

Well if you got your period then you probably aren't pregnant but I suggest, just to be safe, take the test and see. The blood might be from having your cherry popped or something because you both don't know exactly what you did that night. In my opinion, if you're under the age of 21 you should not have been drinking, so be safer next time!

my boyfriend and i have been going out for a little under a year. i love him so much and care about him and i found out that he's been doing something i dont really approve of. but its not what hes doing that upsets and worries me, its that he's been lying to me about it, and then said he's never lied to me. i dont know if i can trust him anymore. i dont want him doing what hes doing, but if he's going to i want to know about it because i dont like being lied to. i want to talk to him but i have no idea what to say? any ideas? i really care about him and love him and don't want anything to happen to him. :-\

Well in a relationship you guys need trust, and if he's doing something you don't approve of and then LIES about it, you shouldn't be with him. If you already told him you don't like it and he won't stop then tell him you're not going to be with him anymore because of it. If he starts lying to you now, who knows what he'll do later on in your relationship, and if he really loves you he'll stop what he's doing so you won't be upset about it anymore.

Yeah I think you're 'in love'. It seems like you two really like eachother and if you're already going out with her and have these feelings, then you're in love. But make sure you don't obsess over her, because that will get kind of weird for your girlfriend if you stalk her. I'm not saying you are, it's just a warning. Just take things slow and keep on going out and doing what you're doing.

Well I'm a girl so here are some kissing tips:

Use chapstick beforehand so your lips will be moist but not sticky, and use a mint so your breath will be okay (If he doesn't like the taste mint, just use starbursts candy or something). When he goes in for a kiss, move your head to the side so you don't bump noses. As he kisses you just go with it, then as he starts to open his mouth a little more relax your mouth and breath through your nose. Put your hands on the back of his head and run your fingers through his hair, or just hold on to his waist. It won't matter much where you put your hands because the rest comes natural. If you want to practice, practice on the back of your hand.

Can anyone give me a step by step understandable way to blow-dry my hair without making it poofy?

Okay after you wash it you should apply something to your hair to make it less frizzy and poofy. My mom has curly hair so she uses some sort of curl thing and 'scrunches' it. But if you have straight hair buy something just to tone down the friz. Then blow dry the rest of it and brush it with the round brush. Also, make sure you get ALL the water out of your hair (don't leave it damp ANYWHERE on your head) becuase the smallest thing of water can cause more friz.

Well if he already said he loves you, he would have asked you out by now if he really did. If you just have feelings for him and haven't told him yet, then I think you should tell him exactly how you feel before it's too late. He might find another girl, or something will get in the way, so you have to tell him how you feel. You can't be scared to ask him out anymore because of how long you have known him, and if you two are already friends then I think you should just tell him lightly in a conversation. DON'T be like, "I love you! Will you go out with me?!" but just say, "I have feelings for you .. and I really would like to be more then 'just friends'," and just explain to him the rest.

Whoa I have the kind of hair you're talking about. I straighten my hair and half side-swept bangs and it is short in the back. My hair stylist based it on Nicole Richie's new haircut (or old-new haircut .. lol). It's short and with the side bangs and everything. Just get a picture of a celebrity from a magazine with the hair style you're talking about, because it is a popular style right now.

I don't understand what I DON'T have that guys (in middleschool) would want! They are always going out with girls that are completely outgoing! I'm not COMPLETELY outgoing, but I am a little crazy sometimes. I wouldn't say I'm ugly or anything. I mean even my friends who are ugly get really cute and nice guys. Yeah I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm in middle school also, and it just seems like a lot of the guys just want to be immature around their friends and such. There isn't anything wrong with you, because there will be one guy who will love you for everything you are, and everything you aren't. All you have to do is wait, because a guy will come to you soon. I sometimes think to myself, "Why the heck can't I find a guy who will like me?" but it's just because of our ages and how everything is starting to change with certain things. Do teen guys (around 14/15 years old) care a lot about a girl's weight? I get a dress down day tommorrow for school (my school wears uniforms) and i want to look nice but im really insecure about my thighs and i dont know if all the guys will be like OMG shes sooo fat and not like me. I know it shouldnt matter but i want to know if its a big issue with guys in general. (directed towards teenage guys reading this: ) when you look at a girl a you think shes pretty would she be unattractive to you if her legs are kinda big? do a girls looks really matter if you like her?

Well yeah, looks are what make a person ATTRACTED to someone, but personality is something more then that. Personality is something that keeps the person liking the other person and that keeps the people together in a relationship. A guy won't date a girl who doesn't have a nice personality to go with her looks. And also remember, guys are like girls in a way. A lot of different guys like different "types" of girls, and if one guy won't go for you, another one will. There will be someone for you who will love you for every part of you and think you are beautiful no matter what you think about yourself.
Like what the other person said, no one will say anything about your body. They will be too worried about how THEY look since it's a dress down day in a school with uniforms (I go to a private school and we have to wear uniforms also) so don't worry about it. Just have as much fun as you can while it lasts!
