My names Casey. I'm a crazy cat lady who's obsessed about books and doesn't wear matching socks. I enjoy all kinds of tea and sometimes I believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
advice
i get so jealous when i see skinny girls who can wear cute dresses and look amazing ... or just anyone pretty in general. i know i'd be a ton prettier if i lost weight, but how can i be patient and motivate myself to stay with my diet? any tips to not crave junk?
Being patient to loose weight is a pain, beleive me, i know. But really all you need to do is just eat healthier. If you can't limit you're intake on junkfood, eat one a day, and make sure its a serving size. to avoid eating more try:
1. Chewing on Ice.
2. Brushing Your teeth and Gargle Mouth Wash.
3. Find something else to do, take a walk, bubble bath, paint your nails, etc.
Some tips on how to motivate yourself to stick with your diet:
1. Try leaving messages on your phone saying you're proud.
2. Ask your mom if you can make space in a cabinent for YOUR food.
3. Put a sign on you're refridgerator to remind you to eat healthy.
Try working out if you feel unmotivated. Usually that helps me.

I'm also very self-conscieous of my legs, beacsue a) they're fat, and b) because they have spider veins and they're just plain ICKY :P
So lately I've been riding my bike for a half hour, and I also play softball (Ends at the end of this weeK).
So my question is..when will I see results? And what are your suggestions to help my problems?

Well, You got the excersise part right.
But it really depends on what you're eating. If you're just eating junk food likes chips, frenchfries, and burgers 24/7, working out is not going to solve anything. Just keep you from gaining weight.
If you want immediate results, eat healthier. Cut out Junkfood, Sodas, Etc. and replace with fruits, vegetables, water, and protein.

i do 70 crunches every night since february and i havent seen any change? what am i doing wrong or what can i do better and whats wrong with me? im not over-eating either. thanks
well, if you have a lot of excess (sp?) fat on you, crunches aren't going to help you any. You need to do more excersises than that. running, jogging, jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc for at leats thirty minutes a day is a workout. not just 70 crunches.
crunches are good for the end of the day, but it won't really help you get in shape or anything.
and for the over-eating thing, it depends on WHAT you're eating.
i weigh 130 and i'm 5'5 with a 26 inch waist. im not sure if it is or not. so, is that normal, or not?

Well, I finally decided to get off my butt and do something about my weight. I've always been fairly active, but since moving in with my boyfriend, I've gone up to around 200 pounds.
So I started the South Beach diet. I'm on my second day.
Thing is, I haven't been having cravings for food, but I have had some problems.
- Depression/Irritability
- Constant hunger
- Exhaustion
- Weakness
Is this normal (for the diet)? I'm ready to quit, if this continues.
Anyone else tried it and had the same sort of experience? Or have any words of encouragement?

hey, the South Beach Diet is really bad for you. All it does is cut out the carbs you need and can even dehydrate you.
your problems you've been having could be part of adjusting to the new diet (even though its only been two days).
if i were you, i wouldn't be on this diet. you should buy this book called "The Diet for Teenagers only". its really good, and gives you the information you need to loose weight. look for it at borders, barnes and nobles, or any other book store.
really, all you need to do is eat healthy. yeah, the south beach diet does cut carbs, but carbs can actually be good for you. it just depends on where the carbs are coming from.

Haha, okay I'm 14/f and I've been a vegatarian for over a month now and I'm very, very happy. My mom finally caved in and let me be one. But my question is what are some easy foods that can fill me up but I can make easily and quickly. Any recipes or foods that I should be eating? I like lima beans...lol Thanks
i'm not a vegetarian, but it could be easy for me to become with.
if i was one I'd imagine Peanutt Butter and Apples/Cellery would fill you up and give you plenty of protein and the energy you need for the day.
see if your mom can make you Sloppy Joes with Tofu instead of real meat. They should be in the Veggie Isle or where you get the Cans for the regular stuff.
Veggie Burgers! Boca Burgers are the best out there. so try that.
if you need to snack on something try the apples/cellery with peanutt butter like i said before, dried fruits like pinnapple and raisons, yogurt (like Yoplait) etc.

Summer is coming and i really need to lose fat and tone muscle, especially in my butt, thighs and stomach. I'm about 148 pounds, so how long would it take for me to get around 130 or 125 pounds? Anyways what foods should I eat? I know to avoid things like soda and junk food and eat fruits, but what kind of foods should i have for breakfast, lunch and dinner? hm. i'm about the same weight as you. don't know about the height but you know what? i want to weigh the same as you want to weigh too.
i started in january, 168lbs. just by cutting out junkfood, so i think you should weight around 135lbs by July. Depends on how well you stay faithful to your diet.
try loosing around 3lbs a week. loosing weight to fast is bad, and it'll eventually come back to haunt you.
but anyways. what food to eat? try:
breakfast- Bagle with Reduced fat Cream Cheese and Watermelon.
OR Oatmeal and Sliced Bannana with Non-Fat Vanilla Yogurt.
OR like the person down there said about the cereal Special K. its really good for you.
lunch- Turkey, Provolon cheese, lettuce, picklets (and whatever else you like) in a weat wrap (the wraps are usually big, so try cutting it in half) with applesauce, carrots, and mini-ricecakes (they come in flavors)
OR try bringing a salad in a plastic baggie with some side dressing. make sure when you buy the dressing it says "light" and read the nurtirtion facts to make sure its not high in calories. Dressing is usually what makes the salad high in calories. so..yeah.
Dinner- Lean Cousine
OR Healthy Choice
OR Veggie Burgers.
pretty much anything for dinner. just eat in moderation with this meal.
Snacks- Dried Fruit, Carrot Sticks, Cellery with Peanutt butter (good if you're working out), apples, grannola bars.
Drinks- Water (at least 8 glasses), Milk, OJ, %100 fruit juices.
eat 1500 calories a day.
now for working out. Try working out for around 20-60 minutes a day. Joggings good. Jumping Jacks, Jumproping, Tredmill, Crunches, Pushups, Situps, all of those are good excersises for you. See if your mom or a friend can bring you down to a gym 3x a week. (thats how many times you should work out in general as well)

i'm not quite sure what your asking me, but lets see..
lets say that a guy is 180lbs and has a lot of excess fat on him.
another guy, could weight the same. but can have a six pack or whatever because of muscle.
so in otherwords, muscle weights more :)

i drink about 2 or 3 bottles of water a day, and i was wondering ...what does water do to your body? like, how does it affect a person's weight, health, etc. is there any bad side-effects or something?
there's nothing bad about drinking water.
water can help keep you full longer, hold more nutrients in your body, and release bad body wastes.
the only bad side-effects from drinking it is drinking too much..but thats only in a few gallons or more.
If you eat really unhealthy food for a while, how long does it take to catch up? For example, if you eat bad for a month straight, will it take a month to catch up to your body or what?

its the same way with any other kind of junkfood.

ok so I'm getting my ears double peirced in a few days, i want to know how bad it hurts. I couldn't tell how bad my first piercing felt because i was only 6 months old! So does it hurt?
it stings a little. not as bad as the third whole though.
carlidge kills for a couple days..but second whole..not really.
Alright, so I really want to get to 120 by next month. I weighed myself in the morning and I was 124. So then I ran & walked for about 4 hours, and when I got back I still weighed 124.
Does it take a while for the pounds to go away? Or did that just do nothing?
Oh & what should I do to lose lovehandles/lower back fat? I've ran at least a mile all this week & done crunches & basic stuff & and yeah, the pounds are shedding, but they seem to just stay there.. :[ I really don't want to go below 120 just so they can be gone.
since you're already close to small, loosing 4lbs will be harder for someone who weights like, 160lbs.
eat healthier, cut out junkfood. make meals smaller as day goes by.

subway is the way to go.
order something on their napkins, most of the stuff there is under 6grams of fat.

try eating the peanutt butter with something like apples, or celery.
it might kill your cravings for more.

you usually gain a pound or two for eating junk food, but that can quickly go away by doing pretty much anything.
it also depends on how high your metabolism is. if you work out, then you'd probably won't gain the weight as fast as others..
well how can i get rid of blackheads on top of my lip????? it's really annoying and cross. now i know how to avoid them but how do i get rid of them??????????????????????
