well, if you have a lot of excess (sp?) fat on you, crunches aren't going to help you any. You need to do more excersises than that. running, jogging, jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc for at leats thirty minutes a day is a workout. not just 70 crunches.
crunches are good for the end of the day, but it won't really help you get in shape or anything.

and for the over-eating thing, it depends on WHAT you're eating.

Crunches dont help yo lose weight, more likely to build muscle in your ab area. If you want to lose weight, do NOT go on a crash diet. You could go on a diet, but make sure you eat enough, and don't starve yourself. Also, if you dont want to diet, thats fine, but try to limit junk food. Try biking, or running, or playing a sport. Anything thats exercise would help.

Hey!!! Crunches are a great way to get your abs in shape but its not a good excercise to lose weight. You have to do some cardio work (running..jumping rope..walking..jumping jacks) those are what get your heart pumping!!!! Eat healthy to! Try drinking a glass of 1% milk in the morning and eating foods like celery and grapefruit. Drink tons of water! Try flavored carbonated water! As u start to lose some pounds then the crunches will come in handy! Hope this helps! If u have any other questions or would like some other suggestions let me know and email me at shianne@tmail.com!

You can't expect to be flat out thin by doing only crunches. You need to eat healthy and also do other exercises.

You need to run, do crunches/curl ups, push ups, etc. Doing only that won't give you much results. Crunches aren't usually to lose fat--it's mostly to tone your abs.
