Which has a larger volume per pound? Well-toned muscle or fat? (In other words, which is bigger: a pound of fat or a pound of well-toned muscle?)

A pound of fat will have more volume than a pound of muscle.

If you have the asme amount of volume of fat and muscle, then the muscle will weigh more.

by the way, i like how the person below me said a POUND of fat weighs less than a POUND of muscle :) They both weigh a pound.

the fat has more volume per pound. for example, you could compare identical twins who both weigh the same, but one twin has no muscle and one twin has no fat. even though they both weigh the same amount, the twin with the most fat will be the chunkiest. that's because a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat.

i'm not quite sure what your asking me, but lets see..

lets say that a guy is 180lbs and has a lot of excess fat on him.
another guy, could weight the same. but can have a six pack or whatever because of muscle.

so in otherwords, muscle weights more :)

hope i helped.

Fat is more voluminous. Plus, muscle just looks better.
