Okay, so i have very hairy armpits. I want to get rid of the hair, but i dont want to tell my mom because i'd be totally embarassed. And also, i dnt want to shave or wax it. What can i do? Is there anything i can do to get rid of hair?
Also, your mother has to shave under her arms too. If not, she's be one hairy woman. So telling her shouldn't be embarrassing, she has the same thing. Once you get to the age where you start growing body hair, you'll eventually have to do something about it.
I'd say shaving is your best bet, unless you have some good reason why you don't want to do that. Other than waxing and shaving, the only solution would be hair removing gels or lotions.
Veet burns your skin. DON'T use it. Maybe Nair for extremely sensitive skin. The skin under your arms is very thin, and products that burn the hair away can irritate your skin badly. But even if you find one that doesn't irritate your skin, the hair has to be 1/4 of an inch long at least to use them again. So you'd have to grow the hair out a bunch each time you take the hair off.

I'm sure she won't mind & she'll get you the things you need. Besides, if you can't even tell her that you wanna start shaving, how in the world are you gonna tell her about getting your period? Just tell her.

Aside from shaving & waxing, try using veet or nair. You put it on, leave it there for a few minutes & rinse it off. I personally don't like it, and I prefer shaving, but it's an alternative for people who don't like to shave. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
