alright so i'm a freshmen in high school now and i'm starting to like this kid whose a senior. i can tell that he likes me a little too but i don't know what to do. is it bad to date 3 years of age difference in high school? i know it doesn't matter later in life but i don't know about now. i know my parents would never approve but i like this kid a lot. what do i do?
i agree completely with the other person who answered this question, and on top of that from my experience most senior boys only care about sex. the naive freshmen who think they're really in it for more than that gives in, and once they get some the guy moves on to the next one they can get. then the girl spends the next year obsessing about this guy who really didn't care about her. now i don't know this guy so he could be different, but as far as i have experienced this happens 90% of the time. make sure you really know this kid has good intentions before you start dating if you do. good luck :)

As some of you may know first-hand, AP US History is a rigorous United States history course. It's essays, tests every week, and more essays, plus the midterm is known for being supremely difficult.
According to my friends who have taken it, APUSH (as we students so fondly call it) is hell on earth.
Our summer work for APUSH is: Six essays as well as a 1-page-long introduction to ourselves. Due 19th September.
But...I'm not sure if i want to do APUSH. Or rather, if APUSH is really a class for me. Because:
1. History is my least favorite subject.
2. I'm already taking Honors Math Analysis, Honors English III, and Honors Physics
3. I play varsity volleyball, track, and lacrosse
4. I'm in a lot of extracurriculars/volunteer programs
5. PSATs & SAT IIs, enough said
6. Last year, I tried taking on honors history too, but I had to drop it after a month because I wasn't used to all the work. If I had stayed, I most certainly would have failed the semester.
The problem is, I don't have another AP course on my schedule, and I really need to have one so my chances are higher for getting into Princeton University (or Columbia).
Also, I want to wait and see how APUSH is for myself. BUT, I don't want to do the essays and then end up dropping the class. Also I could not do the essays, but end up keeping the class, which would mean I would have to pull 6 essays from deep out of my ass in a tiny amount of time.
so..what is your opinion? should i take it or not? thanks a lot in advance!!
if you are truly set on going to princeton or columbia, then definitely take it. colleges love AP courses. however, the class seems like a lot of work especially with an already difficult schedule on top of sports, extracurriculars, and SATs. if history isn't your best subject, have you considered taking a different AP class and dropping to honors history? any AP course will be extremely difficult, but maybe taking a subject you like and understand better would make the year a little easier. just keep in mind that if you plan on getting into an ivy league school, you have to be prepared to do the work it takes to get in. & always remember that it'll pay off in the end!

it's unlikely that eating those foods is making you break out. just clean your face more often and it'll be better :)

ok so heres how it went.
my bff is kind of spoiled and high strung. she has mega high expectations for guys.
anyways..she was going out with this guy thats sooo nice and cute and just the perfect bf for her cause he was nice and she was a bitch and they "completed eachother".
but then she broke up with him because she said he was to clingy. like a week after that me and her ex started talking and i told him i was sorry about what my bff did to him and we just started to talk and now i really like him and im pretty sure he likes me too.
so is it ok to date him? my bff doesnt know we've been talking to eachother. what should i do should i act on it or just break it off? should i tell my bff?

the best thing to do in this type of situation, almost always, is to TALK TO YOUR FRIEND. find out if she still likes him, how she would feel about you being with him. after a week, i'm guessing she won't be too happy but you never know unless you talk to her. not talking to her and just trying to get with the guy will just cause problems and she'll most likely be mad. so talk to her about it, even if you don't get what you wanna hear, trust me it'll be better that way.

I have regular fights with my best friend and she really annoys me most of the time. She's just not really me if you know what i men anyway she was typing some mean thing in an im box and she wasn't gonna send it but i sent it and now that guy got mad at her, and DUH she's mad at me. But secretly like I said I've been wanting to do something so bad to her alot worse than that and wat she was doing then was fine its just payback for every single time she hurt me or made me hate her. I really wish she just wouldn't be my friend.
But the problem is called spheres of influence. She's one of those really popular girls and I already have rumors (fake rumors) and fake gossip about me with her as an enemy she will spread more stuff and honestly i would have no friends. none. and although for me it's fine i don't like anyone thats in her group, but her group is basically the school. and it will be a problem when im back just walking from class to class no talking. Im sorry this is long my life is just messed up right now and I need to start making right decisions on stuff andif u read this hope fully you can help me.
well this girl definitely doesn't sound like someone i would wanna be "best friends" with. but with the whole rumor starting and everything i think it would be best for you to stay friends, just not as good as you are now. if people don't like you just cause you're not friends with her that's dumb, but i guess you just have to deal with the fact that people can be really stupid.

Um if you never went to gymnastics before, can you still join even though you're thirteen or older?
I wanted to join gymnastics so just get a little flexible when I was little but we had no money and now when I excercise and try to kick up the highest i can get is a kindergarden's height even though i'm skinny.
of course you can join, you can join gymnastics at any age pretty much. my one friend was 16 when she first started out, and yes she was with kids around 7-10 years old but hey if you really wanna do it then go for it :)

So, Dree [my friend] dared me to kiss Drew [my crush]. I said umm...okay. Drew [my crush] was like NO NO NO! WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!!! I felt like crying. I don't know what to do. I want to go out with him but I feel like I choke every time he is around! WHAT'S A GIRL TO DO?!
well you could ask your friend to ask drew if he likes you or not, but i think your best bet is to just straight out talk to him. just tellll him how you feel :)

I have been best friends with Emily for two years now. At times, we've been eachothers only friends and have gone through a lot. She says she doesn't want to go on living anymore and she's depressed. Half of the time, I think she's attention seeking. She's such a drama queen sometimes, always starting things.
I want to slap her, and say 'look at your life, it's amazing. There's people with horrible lives fighting to live with everything they have. What's wrong with you?' Lately she's been sulking a lot and it drives me crazy, and then she acts overly happy with other people just to get my attention. I don't want to put up with this if she's not really depressed.
I also want to just invite her to hang out all of the time and show her why life is so great. Does she even deserve that though? Should she learn it for herself? I don't even know why she wants so much attention. Isn't that just giving her what she wants?
She's considering talking to counsellors (she did as a child) but doesn't think it will help. Her life is absolutely amazing compared to some peoples', she has nothing to whine about. God. I want to tell her that SO badly. This drives me crazy, every single day! I constantly worry, but sometimes I get to the point where I think if she's going to act like such a baby all of the time that I'm going to snap.
How do I treat this? Should I try just telling her why her life is so great (as if she needs to get over being such a drama queen) or could this be serious? Wow I just started to tear up, thinking about if I said that and she actually tried to kill herself..

well, i think you just need to talk to her about it, and tell her what you said here, about her life being amazing compared to others. from what you've described about her, it seems to me that she's just craving attention. but, on the other hand, she COULD possibly be bipolar. i know a girl who is bipolar, but she acts a lot worse than your friend. which is why i think she just craves attention. but, being bipolar is not something to joke about, and neither is suicide. if she's attempting to kill herself then there is obviously something wrong with her. she needs to see a doctor right away for treatment. tell a trusted adult immmmediately before she does something stupid.

there's no reason to break up with him, especially since you've been together for awhile. it's only natural for guys to look at girls, you can't get mad about that. but if i were you i wouldn't be happy about my boyfriend saying those things right in front of me. so just talk to him about it, and tell him that you would appreciate it if he kept those comments to himself, at least around you. i'm sure he doesn't want you talking about guys you think are hot around him, so i bet he'll understand :)

So durring the summer, what are some good things to do to get more toned?
me and my boyfriend are going to go walk a mile about 3 times a week... but what are some short and easy things I can do.
running will be more effective than walking, and doing crunches everyday will tone your stomach. just keep at it and push yourself all summer, and you'll look great! :)
allright, i have all guy friends. Im not a tom boy and they dont think of me as "one of the guys". I dont find this weird and neither do my parents, they understand that i just like them better. But at school im considered a slut. I dont do that much with these friends of mine, anything sexual i mean. Yes, dont get me wrong, i have done stuff with them, but i wouldnt consider it slutty. And to top it all off, the girls all think that i am a bitch. I think they feel threatend cause im prettier then they are. Also my friends are really shallow. i don't think you sound slutty at all, and your "friends" sound dumb. haha all those girls just sound jealous, let them think what they want. but, you might wanna hang out with your friends who are girls more often, to maybe cut down on people calling you a slut so much, and maybe try being nicer to other girls because you might seem like a bitch to them even though you don't feel that you are.
