You ever feel like your wasted space? Just waiting for someone to prove you wrong. Like you want to hurt yourself but you don't want to feel the pain. What do you do then? (link)
| |
In a way, yes. Everyone has their down days. When you just plain out feel crummy. And that's okay. But you shouldn't hurt yourself. Life is all about getting hurt, getting over it, and moving on. No matter what happens you have to be appreciative of every situation and experience. As cliche as it may sound, you wouldn't be YOU if you didn't undergo everything that you have. You're not wasted space. If you weren't suppose to be here you wouldn't. I don't know if you are religious and have faith in any higher being, but if you do, just kno, that God truly has a plan for us all. But it is our job to live an active and healthy life..both for God and ourselves. Have confidence in yourself. Here's what I want you to do. Everyday, hard as it may be, I want you to write ONE positive comment about yourself on a sticky note a place it on your bathroom mirror or some other area you will walk by throughout the day. For every negative thought or comment you make, or every compliment you don't accept, write TWO more. These little pick-me-ups will act as reassurance. For other people to see that special "glow" you have, you first, have to believe yourself. Write in a journal about what may be bothering. Talk to someone you trust. Listen to positive songs. Get a new hobby. Keep yourself busy. And if all else fails, as cheesy as this may sound, shrug up your shoulders, and say to your self in a really peppy voice..Cheer up, buttercup. Yes, I am serious. :)

I just moved in to a house in Lake Park, NC. I have lived here for a week and I like this girl that lives across the street. I don't have the nerve to ask her out. Can someone tell me a good way to ask her out.
Signed,
newkid (link)
| |
Well, I wouldn't "ask her out" right off the bat. What you can do is introduce yourself. If you want, you could have your parents go with you and introduce themselves to her parents. Like for example either you or both you and your family can go over and say " Hi, we are new in the neighborhood this is my son..." Chances are, they'll say oh we have a daughter your age. When you finally are able to talk to her (even if it's just a simple hello at the mailbox) you could say "since I am new maybe we could hang out sometime, or you can show me some cool stuff to do" This way, you can see if you like her and if she's interested and it could lead to asking her out. :)

I'm a 14F turning 15 in 3 months. I still haven't had my 1st period and am VERY curious to find out how soon it is coming. I have heard that you get it around the same time as your mother did, but my mom got hers when she was 11, almost 12. I am 5'1" and 95 pounds. Any estimates? (link)
| |
There's no combonations you could give of your characteristic that will "estimate/predict" the arrival of your peiod. Some females don't get one until age 17. Acutually, feel luck you haven't. They can be a pain. An indication that you might be near starting though could be, weight gain, discharge in your undies, tenderness to your breasts, cramping, and the development of pubic hair. Not all of these things will happen--or all at once, but they're something you can be on the lookout for. In the mean time, enjoy nothing having to worry about it! :)
|
okay so hers my story me and my sister are going swimming and i have my peroid and i was wonderin is'nt water supposed to stop the menastraul flow????
(link)
| |
It doesn't completely stop it; however, it does lessen it to almost the point of nothing. That does not mean you shouldn't wear anything when you swim. That can cause infestions for both you and the water (and people in the water) Just wear a tampon while in the water. When you take it out, there probably will not be much on it, if any, but it's still good to be safe. It won't hurt taking it out even though it's not "full" because it will have absorbed a lot of the pool water. :)

So my dad tells me how nobody in reality is going to respect me because i have a tongue ring. I thought respecting somebody wasnt because of how they look [as in having a tongue ring] and because i have 17 piercings. I swear he is embarassed of me and he wants like the perfect little daughter or something
Ew. he makes me so mad. blahh (link)
| |
Sorry if you don't like this, but to an extent--your dad is right. I don't think he is saying what he is saying to hurt you or put you down. He probably just wants to give you his opinion because he cares about you. People judge other people. It's just how things are. You have to look at it this way: If you are going for a job interview at a perstigious company, and the first thing the interviewer sees is a face and body chalked full of piercings, they are going to in turn make assumptions based on your appearance. That could affect you getting the job or not. Yes, I know we're not suppose to judge a book by its cover, but that's how our society naturally is. It's probably not that he wants you to be perfect, but he probably doesn't want people to think less or differently of you because you have a few more hole in your body than others. Just try talking to your dad. Express to him that you feel like this is a form of self expression and something you like. Say that you don't want to hurt or offend anybody, but that it DOES hurt you when he makes comments. I am sure he will be understanding, but at the same time, at least try to see where he is coming from. :)

i'm thinking about getting a razr phone. does anyone know the things it has on it, like does it have a camera? and and details about it is appreciated =). thankss. (sorry about that category i didn't know which one) (link)
|
The razr by Motorolla basically has all the same functions as other Motorollas--just with a few more perks. Yes, it does have a camera. And it can take pictures with the flap both open and/or closed. It comes in various colors like: black, pink, and silver. Some other cell phone providers may offer additional colors--or various shades. If you are looking for something very thing, this is for you. If you don't want a flip phone, there is the Motorolla Sliver which is basically the same thing, but not a flip. I would suggest logging on to your cell phone providers webpage to view details. (It will also give you pricing offers and possible rebates/and or discounts. But before doing so, you may want check out this site: http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/web_producthome.asp?Country=USA&language=ENS&productid=30334

I'm a 14F going into highschool and I'm BARELY 5'1"!! Are there any special foods/excercises that could make me grow?
--Short Freshman. (link)
| |
You're not really THAT short. And you still may grow. I am 18 and only 4'10". Being short has it's advantages too. Don't worry about what other people will think of you because of your height. If they judge you solely on that, you don't even want/need a friend like that. Buti fo yu seriously think you need to grow, there are a series of shots you can get. You have to do it often and it is very expensive. It is generally not covered on your medical insurance. You will have to ask your doctor about the shots. I believe they're called growth stimulants maybe? Either way, you're you for a reason. Embrace it. :)

I want to stay off AIM & Myspace for a long time but I honestly dont know how to do this. I always end up going on AIM when Im bored and myspace too. does anyone have any ideas of what to do when youre bored instead of myspace/aim? It can be on the computer..just not on those sites. (link)
| |
You can try going to Bored.com! It is chalked full of interesting things to do. Also, since this is summertime, you should think about: going on a shopping spree, give yourself a makeover, clean your room, reorganize your closet, write in a joural, cook, have a movie marathon. Anything! Just enjoy yourself. :)

I need an OVERHEAD PROJECTOR to trace something large onto my wall. Is there any place in this world where i can "rent" or "borrow" an overhead besides a school or friend ?cuz my friends nor my parents friends have them. PLEASE i am soooo desperate THANKS to anyone who answers!!!! (link)
|
You might want to try going to a local teacher supply store, and also if they don't have one, an office supply store like Office Max, Depot, or Staples. :)
EDIT--In response to what you left on the feedback:
Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to at the office supply stores, but MAYBE at the teacher supply store. Also, you MAY want to check the library. I know my library allows you to "check them out". :)

When I am asleep and on my period, I don't usually bleed... Is this normal? (link)
| |
Yes, actually this is common. There's nothing wrong. It is often that during sleep your period's flow "stops" or lessens. Just wear a thin pad or pantiliner for protection just in case though. :)
|
|
what do i wear if i have my periodif i am going swiming? (link)
| |
Simple. A tampon. You can swim all you want and you'll be just fine. Your flow will probably also become less heavy while you are in the water, just so you know. :)

I have this problem with guys not looking at my face. there always looking at my but or chest you have to practically yell at them to get there attetion. I neeed help of how to get them to notice my face . (link)
| |
It's not your fault. It's just how they are. Guys like to gauk and stare. Something you have to learn to deal with. The kind of guys that won't look at your face aren't generally the guys that are going to respect you the most and appreciate what you have to say. Next time that happens, just say "Hey, why don't you try looking at my face for a change..." Or something like that. That way, you get your point across. If they don't like it..who cares. Now with all this said, if you are wearing things purposely to attract attention well then you really can't blame them! :)

this isn't like an urgent question or anything but can anyone (sophmores, upperclassmen, younger siblings, college attendies, anyone)give me more info on freshmanizing? (link)
| |
Hey. I know entering high school can be a scary thing. There's a lot of expectations you probably have. You probably also don't know what to expect at the same time as well. Hazing really doesn't happen as much as you probably thing. I know every school is different, but generally, noone is going to "stuff you in a locker". Sure, at the pep rallies all the freshmen will get booed, but noone is really going to do any physical harm to you. The upperclassmen (if you have a class with one or something) might make you get up and get something for them. Stuff like that; minor. Nothing major. Boys that play on a team like football probably will experience a little more of a tough time in the locker room but other than that, you'll be just fine. Join some clubs. get to know knew people, work hard, and have fun! :)

hey again. its me then one with the ex who still has her pics. Well yea i understand waht you are sayuing, but since school got out ive sent him multiple emails and stuff telling him that i would like to hang out again and be friends like we were before we broke up. But even with that, i still dont understand he was acting funny the last week we were together. can you please help me understand this part of it? thanx:) (link)
| |
Again, it's really hard to say what he was thinking or feeling because I am not him. Maybe he was just having mixed feelings about everything thus causing him to act weird toward you. So many factors can contribute to the way someone is/acts during a relationship. For instance, he could be having personal/family problems. It could be anything really. The key is, not to let yourself regret this or hold it against you and let it bother you. Just take from it, appreciate it, learn, and grow. I am sure you are going to have 435345 more relationships. Well, maybe not THAT many, but you get the idea. :)

Hello. I am a 16 year old girl. So, ok there was this guy that I dated for a month. Our last date was on a Sunday & I broke up with him that Thursday. On our date, he barley put his arm around me & didn’t even kiss me. Usually on our dates we do nothing but that. Then at school that week he was acting kind of funny. He didn’t call me at all that week. On Thursday at school he didn’t even hug me before he left for practice. That night I called him & said that I think it would be better if we were just friends and he agreed. I could tell that he really did think it was the right thing. We still both really did want to be friends. But after we broke up, he barley talked to me or didn’t even talk to me at all. I tried everything. I tried talking to him about it, calling him, emailing him, everything. He didn’t seem to want anything to do with me, so after about a month of trying to talk to him I gave up and decided that he would talk to me when he wanted to. Well about a couple of months after we broke up I saw that he still had a picture of me in his wallet. *the only thing he really has in his wallet are my picture & money* Then his friend told me that he still had my picture in a frame on his desk. I could understand why he still had my pictures if we were still friends, but we weren’t. Can you please help me understand why he still has my pictures?
(link)
| |
Well in short, he obviously still has your pictures because he still cares about you, and hasn't had complete closure. It's hard to say exactly what he is thinking because I am not him, but my educated guess would be that your ex still liked you when y'all agreed to break up. Maybe he just didn't want to say exactly how he was feeling because he was scared. A lot of times people agree to things they don't really want because they want to please the other person. That's maybe what he was doing. Also, the reason he probably did not talk to you right after y'all broke up was probably because he was confused and needed time himself, but was also trying to give you the space he thought you wanted. I think you could try if you wanted--to write him an email or IM or text or whatever..and casually say "hey since it's summer we should hang out before school starts back up..it would be great to hear from you again!" Something like that will allow him to see you kind of want to see what's up, but you are still being casual. Either way, I am sure everything will turn out how it's suppose to. :)

i have diarreah all the time. whats wrong with me ? (link)
| |
Well by all the time, what exactly do you mean; and how long has this been going on? If has only been for just a few days they your probably ate some bad food that did not settle with you well. If this has been going on for months and you can't control it (Ie: excessively going to the bathroom when you least expect it) you could have a condition called IBS--Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It's actual common and very treatable by various types of medications. You'd need to see a doctor. If yours is an extreme case, like to the point where you can't even leave the house, you may have an extreme variation of IBS called Crones Disease. If it doesn't go away, or hasn't--see a doctor. You'll be just fine though. :)

i'm pretty good at volleyball and i would like to join a club team so that i can get noticed better by colleges. does anyone know of good volleyball clubs in texas?? thanx (link)
| |
Well there are tons of club teams throughout Texas. I don't really know where exactly you live, so some teams may only be available for you to the area you live in. Some I know of off the top of my head are the Texas Tornadoes, Texas Elite, Texas Juniors, and Texas Riptide. The best thing for you to do would be to either talk to a coach from school and ask him/her about some teams (maybe that your other schoolmates are on), and google some that are in your area. You may also want to talk to some of your friends that play volleyball. Since it's summertime be aware that a lot of colleges offer clinics and camps that help for improvement. For example, A&M and UT both offer camps. :)

i was due for my period a few days ago.
i just started getting it in december.
last month i had it in 23 days.
i have such a light flow right now that i'm not even sure if i'm on it.
if i am, it's been around 32 days this month.
one month i didn't even have my period.
sometimes i can;t expect it because i don't know which day (23-32) it's going to come on!
and most times it's different days.
is this normal? the irregular patterns?
is it just because it started in december and i'm young? (link)
| |
This is absolutely normal. Don't worry. Your period is just irregular right now because you have recently started it. It can take up to 2 years for your period to become steady. Not everyone's period and not everytime will follow a specific cyle pattern. Just be patient. It is possible you are on your period right now and it is just very light. So keep that in mind. In the mean time, try wearing a pantiline or a tong liner for a little protection when you think you may be near starting. :)

ok so i want to buy a laptop at the end of this year...
does anyone know what is the best laptop out there? or that is coming out soon??
i just want to use it for games and chatting and music....stuff like that and i want lots of memory, seems like i never have enough memory!
thanks! (link)
| |
Well, they make a lot of great laptops now and offer good packages at elextronic places now. Everyone has their opinion about best car brand and computer brand--but in MY opinion and use, I think Dells are the worst in lap tops. I think the BEST is Sony--but it's very expensive. Toshiba, HP, Sony, and Compaq are really good. Whatever you do I wouldn't get the Tablets that have the reversable turnable screen. It's pretty much all for show and has been known to have crashing problems. They are costly and you are basically paying for a "neat" feature. I would check into a The first 3 I listed though. Good luck. :)
