Q: Ok, so I'm a fourteen year old girl and to start off with, I have recently broken up with a boyfriend I had for over a year. I loved him very very much, and still do. He says he still loves me as well, but he moved and I never see him so it's too hard to be anything more than friends. Well recently, I've been hanging out with another guy a lot. He and I are both in marching band, so we see each other a whole lot. Well yesterday, we had a band compeition starting at eleven AM, and the bus got to the school at 1:30AM. Well at the compeition we were hanging out a whole lot, and on the bus ride home he started using me as a pillow again(this isn't anything new) and I subconsciously started playing with his hair. All of a sudden, my hand slipped into his and the next thing I know we're holding hands. See, what I'm wondering is, is it okay to be slowly falling in love with this new guy while I still have feelings for my ex? Is it fair to him? Help.

you can't help who you fall in love with or who you like.. honestly i think it's good that you're getting over your ex boyfriend.. this awlays happens to me too. i'll end up being obessed with someone and then i just start liking someone else and they end up being my new attraction lol. it's totally normal. break it down with your old guy and tell him that you need to move on and that you can't sit around waiting for him constantly.. hell you're only 14 you've got like 90 something years and you're not gonna "waste" it waiting around for him. but before you do anything drastic and move in with this new guy.. make sure you are really intent on him and only him.. it really sucks when you're in a relationship and already off the bat you're still thinking abotu your ex.

Q: I've got long ( mid back ) straight dark brown hair . It's cut so that all my hair is the same length , and all straight at the bottom .

It's really boring , and i would like to do something special to it . Does anyone have any ideas ? I don't want to dye my whole head , but i wouldn't mind a funky colour or just some highlights . Is it possible to only dye the ends of my hair so i can cut it off just in case my mum freaks . ( i'm going to do it before telling her , because if i ask her first she will refuse flat-out )

Also , i would like to cut my hair so that it is shorter in front , but longer at the back . Kind of like Jojo . What is this called ?

Btw . i'm kinda tanned as i do alot of sports .

umm i'm a hair dork.. lol.. my hair is kinda dull too.. it's layered but this weekend im fixing on getting a haircut on having it straight all the way back and then as you move up my face (like from the ears to my eyes/bangs) then it gets "choppy" layered.. but I can answer you on one of your questions

you can just get like the tips of your hair highlighted.. it's kinda hard but it's possible.. if you do it professionally be sure to tell them how much is an "end" of the hair.. they may highlight too mcuh and you'll have to part with alot more than you thought you'd have to.

Q: hey does anyone know where you get those bracelets that you wear and you make a wish and when the bracelet falls off the wish comes true? just wondering...I saw that on tv a long time ago and I thought it sounded cool. thanks. :)

They're called Wish Bracelets. You can find them at probably Claire's and even maybe even Walmart. lol. I had one a while back.. and my friend made it for me actually.. you can try looking them up on the net and making one yourself.. goodluck!

Q: Heya! I'm passing out candy on Halloween, and I want to know how I should decorate my porch. Nothing too big or expensive, just stuff I can do from things I have around the house. I think I'll have the candy in a hollowed out pumpkin, but I'm not sure what to do to decorate my porch. Any suggestions? Thanks!

umm... well me and my friend when we were younger had this little "gig" thing we always did on her porch halloween night. we'd have her older brother sit in this chair with a bowl or whatever you want to use (the pumpkin idea sounds cute) and we'd have a sign that says take only one. and this was the basic outline of the tradition.. well a few years back we went all out with cobwebs in the corners and weird noises and we'd hide in the bushes and make rattling noises and such. The kids ate it up! they'd be so scared and finally convince themselves that it was some mannikin sitting in the chair.. hope i helped.

Q: I used Nair Facial Hair Remover Cream on my upper lip. It was then swollen and burning. I do not know how to heal it.

cool it with ice.. that's all you can do to stop the swollening.. then add some foundation or makeup to try to cover it up.. best of luck

Q: Well today is me and my girl one month anniversary. She lives in Oregon and I live in Texas, I will tell you that I do care for this girl and I can only see her as being with me in the future, like as my future wife and everything

but there someone else I like right now and shes here ..and more near. Ive went on a date with this girl before I got together with my baby. But this girl kinda toyed with my emotion , making me think she didnt like me. Well now we are closer and she really likes me and tells me that only i can make her happy and that I was the only one who ever made her feeling 'so many emotions' at once in her lifetime thats why she denied when I asked her out cause she was scared.

So I dont know what to do. Should I let my baby girl go? because I dont want to hurt her if anything happens between me and this girl but then I dont want to because Im afraid ill make the biggest mistake of my life.

you've got a great thing going right now so don't wreck it. if you're happy with your current girl then stay with her because after you lose her you may realize she was a big part of your life and more important than this girl

also.. even though you and this other girl have gotten closer.. it still doesnt change that she toyed with your emotions once.. what's to say she's not doing it again? just keep your gaurd up, you never know what could happen if you don't.

but really.. just be with the one you are happy with. if the distance is worth it with your current girl, then stick around with her and wait till something actually wrong happens before you move on to this other girl.

but if things are just too hard for you and her.. then re-analyze your relationship with her and think about this new.. (err old) girl (the one that toyed with your emotions).

Q: Haha, okay, well i have this like, don't think it's gross, but a 3rd nipple type thing next to my right nipple. Its been there for so long, and every time i have a physical my doctor seems to ignore it. I thought it was like one of those bumps you get around them but this is bigger, and if you feel it...eh its like a normal nipple!! Its so strange, and I feel really uncomfortable, especally in front of my boyfriend, who laughs at me, but still, im so self-concious about it. I was wondering if anyone had this same problem...or somthing...please help!!

don't worry about it. as the other advice people have so kindly pointed out; it is normal. and yeah i totally agree with them.. go get it checked out with your doctor and he probably will ask if you want it removed surgically. don't be too emebarrased about it; you're never alone when it comes to skin problems.

p.s. i'd re-analyze your relationship with your boyfriend if he laughs at something like that.. talk to him about it and make sure he knows that you're very self councious about yourself (hey.. who isnt?!) and that it makes you feel uncomfy.

p.p.s.. if you really don't feel like you're not alone.. think of F.R.I.E.N.D.S... Chandler had a third nipple (a "nubbin" as he liked to call it) and so did Ross.. he had some weird thing on his butt =P. haha i hope that helps

err haha i tried doing that to my friend when i was in 5th grade and she was in 6th.. didnt really turn out well.. we did the dumbest method ever.. we numbed out her cartilege with ice to ease the pain and used an UNSTERILIZED needle..

i don't think that you should do it yourself. alot of teens today do but it's not good for the skin. I'd have it professionally done.. and probably i be you can find a pretty cheap store that ranges from 10-20 bucks.. kinda expensive but uh well.

Q: I have a problem with guys that I like that are more than just a guy friend. I know its a little first grade and I shouldn't be doing that anymore. I think its because of what happened with my first boyfriend when we went out he used me in a mean way. So I think that I have a problem, like I think my new boyfriend will do the same. aww.. stupid guys. lol. you're just a little paranoid and i probably wouldn't blame you; it's not like i've had the greatest experience with guys right either. i bet that if you stick around long enough you'll get the perfect boyfriend that'll help you get ovre this mental block and really open you up. you've just gotta find the perfect patient boy; trust me he's out there somewhere.

first off.. you should make sure you're ready for this. I mean even though this isn't sex.. it's still a big deal to many girls. and you should always make your first experiences.. be they kissing, frenching, making out etc.. special.

now.. it is true.. there is a natural odor there and i don't really think there's much you can do to change that.

The most basic thing i can think of is to either wax it (major ow) or shave it. I'd go with shaving. You don't really have to; but if you want to or your boyfriend wants you to then that would be the best choice.

it really sucks when it happens but just try to remember that he is one guy out of like a billion others and you shoudln't let this one dude get in between you and your friend. talk to your friend over it and figure out if she likes him.. come clean with her about your feelings for him; she is your best friend afterall. =]. You can step aside if she does like him back. try to be happy for your friend. sometimes that's all you can do.

Q: I went to the tanning bed sunday and all monday and tuesday I was itching terribly. I thought maybe i had a rash but then i thought well maybe its from the tanning bed. And then i kept getting this tingle..all day..it hurt soo bad. I didnt use ne lotion..wat was happening?

in all honestly i have no clue. but if i were you i'd check with your parents or doctor immediately.. i haven't heard of it; but you very well could have caught it from the tanning bed.. try to retrace yourself in thinking of anything unnusual you've touched or used on your skin.. doesn't even have to be lotion.. maybe some spray or a new shower gel or maybe it's an allergic reaction. all in all check with your physician immediately.

Q: hey .. ok .. here is the thing ..i have 2 best friends.. lets call them elle and iris.. we're really close..we're in 9th grade.. in school, we usually like guys our age or 1 or 2 years older.. there's an important guy at our school and he needs a bodyguard to stay with him. my friend, elle, likes this bodyguard. not offending anyone..but, we're upper class girls and as you may imagine, not only
this guy isn't from the same socially "priviledged" class as us, but he's also around 30 years of age. this is hardly the problem, the guy stares not only at my friend, but at iris and me. iris and i have become very fearful of what this may end in. some dude used to call elle to her cel phone (without telling her who he was

i dunno what he could do to, not only her, but us. i have this feeling. i dunno if he's capable of doing something to her against her will- as in raping her. i talked to my mom and what she told me was that iris and i needed to talk to elle urgently to tell her what she could get herself into before this goes too far.

ahh that is kinda freaky... and it's really scary when this happens.. (anything involving with stalking/raping etc) but it was a good idea to talk to your mom about this and really be able to open up to them about this

first things first --> talk to Elle and realyl try to convince her and motivate her to see the really big picture here! Rape, molesting and harrassment are NOT things to be taken lightly at all! Even one sexual unwanted encounter can destroy or change someone's life.

Also.. If Elle doesn't get the picture... inform an adult of this. IT's better to have more adults on your side incase anything does happen. Inform teachers you trust, or counselors or even church related people. Don't be embarassed about this. Your health should never ever be something to be embarassed about

And finally, what you are doing and putting up with takes a great deal of courage. No one should have the right to make you and your friend Iris feel as uncomfortable as you do. I hope that other girls that are in somewhat a similar situation as yours take takes this to mind and does something. Much luck to you three!

Q: im only thirteen and this guy is slitting his wrist ova me. I just found out the other day. He has asked me out like 10 times and evry time i said no, i dont like him. I signed him up for counseling and he convinced them that he stopped... just the otha day i found out that he IS still slitting himself. If I send him back to the counseler person then hell do the same thing. So what do i do? I've never gone through it but my best friend use to be a cutter last year and it was hell for me to go through as well as herself.. this guy needs help! even if you don't like him at all; you know you can't turn your back on him like that. No one's asking you to hold his hand and walk him through everything... but you've got to inform someone else about this and get him help. It will only worsen and worsen over time. It's already showing that this is a serious matter since he quit cousenling after telling them that he's quit cutting. Remember..most of the time cutters don't really want to die; just feel pain. But it's sad when they really do die.

Q: I have this friend, and we have got in alot of fights. Well, she started coming to my school 2 years ago. (I knew her before then)She didn't know many people going to my school, so she kind of used me to get more friends. Once she met all my friends she started ignoring me and stuff. No one said that you can't do all of it =D! I was like that in really 7th grade. I had about 20 career paths I wanted to take and even now that I'm in highschool I'm still trying to lower the level of jobs I want to like 10! lol. Do what you want to do and what makes you happy! It'll be a rough road to get there but then again anything and everything is a rough road. So keep your chin up!

Making friends is really hard. But if you keep at it long enough then it'll work.. and trust me; it's gay and old.. but it really works: BE YOURSELF! I'm one of the like wierdest and dorkiest person alive and I'm such a goof and so clumsy and the list goes on and on with my flaws.. lol but I've got the greatest friends ever and I woudln't trade them for anything because they accept me for who I am and that's just perfection to me.

this site has been down for a while but i'm starting it up again. i've been really busy with school work and other activities but now you can ask me questions again.
