I think the way I come off to people is just mean and that I don't like anyone. Today I heard some kid say (about me) "Yeah, she hates everyone" and that is not true. I tend to tell people to shut up and I guess I'm not the nicest person... so how do I begin to change? I don't want to seem a rude, hateful person anymore!
sry, taht is prolly like the worst feeling in the world when people think you hate everyone. neways, first off i think its great that you realize that its time for a change and obviously, you'll do what it takes to change! whenever you see someone you dont like, ignore them, do you know what i mean? like, dont exactly BEfreind them, but stay neutral. You need to make friends with everyone. Okay I failed a test in school with a 65, and to raise the grade, the teacher said we could take a retest. Problem is, we have to show a note to our parents saying we failed, and have them sign it. The re-test is tomorrow, and I still haven't showed my parents the note. WHAT do I do? Because..my parents kill me if I even get an 85. Help me. :(
I ahve the exact same parents lol, so what i would do, adn i know this prolly isnt what you want to hear, but you need to tell your coolest parent and have them sign it and tell them that you will study so hard and try your hardest to get a better grade and that it will never happen again. If they ground you, feel good knowing that you probably would have been in more trouble lying and forging than coming out with the truth.

Is it wrong to cry if your dog died and you've known her since you were a toddler? My friends would think it's silly, and when you think about it, it kind of is. Does anybody else think it's silly?
OMG it is soo not silly, dont listen to your friwends, obviously theyve never had their best friend in teh whole world die! omg if my dog died i would be bawling and i wouldnt go to school for 3 weeks. it is totally reasonable to cry because you are losing someone who is always on your side and loves you no matter what. try a computer diary, use like, WORD or something and when you save it, make a password so ou are the ONLy one that can access it!

i have swimming every-other day first hour at my school. basically, we have to swim for 50 minutes, and then we get 10 minutes to shower - change- and get ready, and then itsoff to our next class. i`m very much a girly-girl, hardly ever seen without my makeup on and spend over an hour getting ready for things. I NEED HELP how am i suposed to get ready in 10 minutes?! and how can i do my hair really cute when it`s wet?? i don`t really care about not having time to put on my make up, because i don't really want to be known as the barbie. BUT i dont want to have gross nasty hair either! HELPPPP
Maybe you should wear a swim cap. hmm iw ouldnt know much about swiming, but have a daily routine of what you do as soon as swim is over, figure out which makeup goes on first and as for your hair, the swim cap idea... or like, wear it scrunchi, or blow dry it as much as you can. good luck!

Cheerleading is just over! I am pretty good but i want to get better. I can do a cartwheel, round off, all jumps, heal streach, split! But tryouts are in about 2 months and i want stuff to do. I have a few questions,
What are some new cool moves?
What should i do to teach my self a back walkover? I am afraid of going back!
What can i do to get my jumps higher? yes, I prep but that doesnt seem to be enough, is jumping while i prep a bad thing?
Should i do some running and such? Im skinny but for extra "strength" if you want to call it that!

hey! Well, as for the back walkover, i dont suggest trying that on your own. But you SHOULD do backbends alot to get your back stretched out, and maybe you could try kicking over, and once you get used to that you'll get your backwalkover!What you can do to make your jumps higher is stretch everyday and work on your abs because your abs take a major part in how high your jumps are. YES jumping while you prep doesnt make any sense. Im not sure that i understand what your saying, but your supposed to prep and as your arms come up, hit your jump.... Running will help get you in shape and do sit ups!

My friend and I used to be really close and walk together to class. Now everytime I try to meet her she isn't there because shes with her new friend. What sould I do?
I think you should try and hang out with her more often by yallselves. Maybe you can befriend her new friend and you wont be so left out everytime they walk together. Also, just because ur friend is walking to class with another friend doesnt mean yall arent friends or that yall arent as close, im sure she just doesnt know how you feel!

that is sooo mean. i dont think you deserve to be treated that way, no one does. If your friend is so concerened about superficial stuff, than maybe you shouldnt be her friend. I know it sounds hard, but I had the same problem and once I let go of my friend my life got so much better. Maybe you should write a question (either in her column, if she has one, or if she doesnt, write one to yourself) and say like, "I have this friend who critisizes me about everything, and says the meanest things behind my back, and my friends are all mean and they wrote this really mean question about me and im really hurt and, well should i be friends with them" and then be like "no, i dont think you should be friends with those bitches, you're so much better than them and you dontneed them." well, i hope things work out for you! sry this happened. :\ -shelby

okay for you older high school students...i`m a freshman in H.S. and i was wondering do you think when you do your eyeshadow you should just find one really good color like a certain shade of bronze that looks really good, or should you wear eyeshadow that matches your clothes?
It really depends because different people look good in different eyeshadow shades. I wouldnt suggest wearing bright clothes-matching shadow EVERY day, but like, 2wice a week when your feeling fun. I prefer no eyeshadow, and instead, i use gold glitter liquid eyeliner and it looks really pretty. well to me, lol.

I had REALLY WAVY HAIR. Theres got to be at least 7 waves in each strand of hair. I hate the way it looks and I really want it straight but I'm wondering..how do I get regular waves with only like 2 waves in it? I think it would look really good on me and I saw it on t.v. and some people said J.Lo and Beyonce had this hair style. How do I transform my have from ultra wavy... to only a few waves here and there?
All I can suggest is that you straighten your hair and then use gel and run your fingers around here and there and create your own waves.
