Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

hi guy's , ok so i want to die my hair blonde , but the problem is i don't want it to be permenant. So, yesterday i went and bought whatever i could find , i've never dyed my hair before so i don't know what the "good" products are. I decided to by Clairol Nice' n easy Color Blend Technology. On the front it says PREMANENT COLOR , at the bottom of the box , but on the back it says something like this:

Q: How long will it last ?
A:Nice' n Easy lasts for up to 6 weeks. and for your illuminating blonde shade, you'll find 6 weekly treatments of out exclusive Colorseal Conditioning gloss to seal in the healthy looking color and add intense shine.


So my question is , Is it permenant or not ? are they saying the color will TOTALLY go away or it will just fade and ill have to touch it up.

Well, it's like this- if your hair is darker than the color of blonde you want to color it, then a non-permanent color won't show up in your hair. Oh, it may have some golden tone to it, but it won't go blonde. The only way to make your hair lighter is to change the color of the strands, and to do that it has to be permanent.

It says lasts up to 6 weeks, because in 6 weeks your roots will be grown out. The color won't just go away. Permanent color permanently changes the strand color. Done deal. No going back unless you grow your hair back out until the roots are long enough for you to cut off the colored hair.

The brown to blonde in one step is nice, if it were true. If your hair is a medium to dark brown and you are trying to go to, say, light to medium blonde, you have to bleach your hair and THEN add the color of your choice. That is highly damaging to your hair! But you wouldn't have to bleach first if you are trying to achieve a darker blonde.

It instructs you to part your hair and go downwards because you should dye your hair from root to tip. It is meant to cover all of your hair, and not just highlight it. By sectioning your hair like that, it makes it easier to ensure you have covered every strand.

I have no clue if you are saying your period is late, or not yet due... So on that- if you become at least 2 weeks late, take a test. You should be ok if you used condoms every time, but there is no fail-safe, so anything is possible.

As for irregular periods, it would help if you stopped stressing over things you shouldn't even be worrying about, or can't change. High stress can cause your periods to be late and/or irregular.

Of course. Weather it was so good or sucked ass, you run a high risk of becoming pregnant without taking precautions.
If you become at least 2 weeks late for your next due period, then you should get tested.
I'm sure you heard this before, but you should ALWAYS use a condom. Not only does it prevent pregnancy, but it is the only thing that will protect you from STDs.

I'm getting a physical soon, and i need a blood test. Do they stich the needle into the vein? If they do, don't they hurt?

Just to add to everyone else, my veins in my arm are hard to hit, so they generally go from the veins in my hand.

It doesn't hurt, it just feels kinda strange. But it's nothing to be alarmed or worried about.

Honestly, to worry over a blood draw is the same as making a mountain out of a mole hill. I was scared the first time I had it done, too, but it is nothing like what you are thinking, I promise. Don't look and all you'll feel is a bit of pressure that feels kinda strange, but not painful.

Oh, and as everyone said, your vein won't burst, but if they happen to go nuts and poke through the back side of your vein, blood will leak out under your skin and cause a bruise. But that doesn't hurt, either. Not that it's going to happen to you, but just so you know what's going on if it does happen.

I've had it happen to me before a couple of times, but that is because I was stuck in my elbow where my veins happen to be hard to hit.

So no more worries, ok? You will realize after your physical that it is nothing to fret over.

I took the morning after pill right a couple hours after having sex but I am suppossed to get my persiod in two weeks so I am afraid I could get pregnant I really can not afford to get pregant at such a young age. I am praying that I am not pregnant cause my family will not be happy. do you have any advise. When is to soon to take the pregnancy test I really want to know if I am pregnant or not. I hope I get my period early.

The best time to take a pregnancy test and get an accurate, reliable reading, if you are a teen, is AT LEAST two weeks past your period's due date. One week if you are an adult.

Reason being, because a teen's menstrual cycle is not likely regulated, for starters.

Mainly because you have to allow your body enough time to produce enough of the pregnancy hormone to have it show up in your urine. It is the hormone that gives you the result on the test, of course.

Pregnancy tests are more apt to give a false negative than a false positive, because the positive result is 99% accurate, but a negative can come up if the test is taken too early.

Now, I'm not sure how the morning after pill works on your body, because I'm not down with that, (though I don't judge you for it) so I can't tell you what the pill will do to your menstrual cycle.

Your best bet is if you aren't pregnant (which I would assume you aren't, but ANYTHING is possible) you should get on birth control. You should ALWAYS use a condom- birth control or no- to protect yourself against nasty STDs, such as HIV/AIDS. And to protect yourself against pregnancy if you don't use birth control.

everytime i pull my hair back a get head aches.

whether its a high pony tail low ponytail half ponytail it doesnt matter

I only wear my hair up when I play softball or if I am outside and its hot (so usually my hair is down more than up)

and lately I have been having killer head aches while I play ball because of it.... even those pre-wrap headbands have been making it worse


any ideas on what could be wrong or what is causing it?

I get that if I have my hair pulled back too tight. I'm not saying Insta-face lift tight (though that is WAY too tight...) but I'm sure you know what I mean. :)
Try to tie it back looser and see if that helps. Like maybe a loose tail at your neck hairline.

I got my dog, Angel, spayed and I picked her up from the vet today. Does anyone have any tips on how to care for her and how to get her to stop licking her stitches? THANK YOU!

You don't want to stop your dog from licking her stitches unless ordered by your vet. Dogs have a natural antibiotic in their saliva, and licking their wounds helps them heal.
Now, if she starts chewing on her stitches before it is healed, you should call your vet and ask what to do.

It might turn into a love story between her, and her best friend Jake. Jamie (the main character) loses her friend David due to a drunk driving incident. This morning i woke up and i coudln't breathe through my nose.

After i took a shower it got a little better.

When i was at school it was fine, too.

But now that i'm home, I can't breathe in through my nose easily. I've tried blowing my nose, but absolutely nothing is in my nasal passages.

And now i can smell blood.

Help!?
Is there anything i can do BESIDES go to the doctor?

Well, the smelling blood part is kinda strange, but since it seems your nose is stuffy when you are at home, maybe there is something there you have an allergy to?
New cleaning products or air fresheners?
Fresh flowers or plants brought into the home recently?
New pet?
You know, that kind of stuff.

My boyfriend is Russian and has a lot of Russian pride. His birthday is coming up and I'd really love to get him a cool tshirt with some Russian writing or a Russian phrase on it.

haha i didnt know what to put this under buttt. everytime i burp i have this really bad burnt, fried movie popcorn. it makes me want to throw up =[ i had tried pretty much everything to get this taste out of my burps haha. all i pretty much ate around whne it started was nestle chocolate chip cookies, a coke, and pretzel bites. im thinking its pretzal bites but i have never had i problem with them before

Try cutting different foods out of your diet a few days at a time to see if you can find the culprit.
If it ends up it is the pretzel bites causing the bad taste, then you know what not to eat to avoid that nasty burp.

Well, there are to key ingredients to a happy, healthy relationship. Trust and honesty.
You are going to have to just trust that he doesn't think of her as anything more than a friend.
As for worrying over what really happened between them, forget it. It's in the past. It's also between them, and not your concern in the first place.
Listen, it's like this- if he wanted to be with her, he wouldn't be with you. He CHOSE YOU. Obviously he thought you were the one for him, not her.

so, the barbells that they pierce your industrial with.. are they those kind that you have to go back to get unscrewed with the lil pliar thingies? my piercer didnt say i had to come back to get it changed, but i just tried to unscrew the ball and it doesnt seem to be moving.. am i just going to have to try harder or what?

Well, I'm not quite sure what you mean by industrial, but I know what you are saying about the barbells.
When I got my tongue pirced, I didn't want to have to drive all the way back to the city just to get it changed, so I did so myself. (I live in the sticks...)
This is what I came to realize- that darn bead wouldn't come off, no matter how hard I turned it. Well, it was slippery and hard to get a real good grip. (Darn that drool...)
It dawned on me that they used rubber gloves to screw it on. Said rubber gloves have more grip than your bare hands.
So, I went and got a pair (I asked for them at the doctor's office) and the bead came right off. When I put in the new barbell, I used my bare hands to ensure I could also remove it with my bare hands next time around.
Just be sure to always wash your hands before handling a body piercing with your bare hands.

Why, you ask? Because if you take the test too soon, it can show up negative. This is because it takes some time for the pregnancy hormone to be strong enough in your urine for the test to accurately read it.
Since you are 19, there is a chance that your menstrual cycles aren't regulated. Therefore, it is always best to wait until you become AT LEAST two weeks late, rather than one, to ensure you get an accurate result from the test.
Give it another week, and try to chill out in the mean time (I know- easier said than done), because high stress can cause your period to be late.

Recently, I found out that my boyfriend of 6 months is getting kinda bored with what we do. The farthest we've gone is making out and that's the farthest we will go. And then all he talks about with his friends is how he almost spent the night with some hot chick. I don't want to break up, but it upsets me that I'm getting old or something. Well, you don't do anything you aren't ready to do, weather he is bored or not.

If he respects you, he will wait. If he respects you, he won't spend the night with a some hot chick. (Though, I imagine he is likely talking out his ass on that one to sound like an alpha male to his buddies. Guys can be strange like that...)

It would be nice if we had such control over our bodies, but we don't.

Yes i have been married once before but it was when i was 17 and i wasnt ready. Now i feel that i have reached a point where i am ready to really settle down. But, the man i am supposed to marry just recently started to be abusive after a year of not being abusive. I have tried everything to try and get him help but he says that i am the one with the problem because i nag him. Honestly i know he sounds bad but he is soo sweet and will do anything for me about 90% of the time. It is that 10% that he tweeks out for no reason or stupid little things. Lately i havent been too involved with the wedding because of all of this and i even tend to start thinking i dont want to marry him if he is going to abuse me. I wonder if i am getting cold feet because i really dont want another divorce.

Yah. He does sound bad. Even if he is sweet 99% and is only abusive 1% of the time, he still would sound bad. A person who will beat or abuse another IS NOT a good person. Sweet moments or no sweet moments.

Also keep in mind that if your husband is abusive to you or your children, then your children run a very high risk of being abusers themselves. That means they may abuse their spouses, their children.
Or, they may just sit back and take abuse from their spouses. I know you wouldn't want a life like either of those for your children.

Yah, though you're ready to settle down, WAIT. Find a man to settle with who won't treat you like that, and respects you. This man has no respect for you if he abuses you in any way.

And that 10% will likely increase to 20%, 40%, 50%, 90%...

Remember: EVERY DAY a woman is battered by her man. He will then apologize to no end and whisper sweet nothings into her ear so she will stay, just to turn around and cave her skull in the next day. It is very sad, but very true.

You could be one less abused woman.
