You should be fine if you're taking the pills correctly, although there's always that tiny chance no matter what form of protection you use. It's just that risk people take.
Next time, to stop you worrying, use a condom too - don't forget they also protect against infections and diseases. :)

This is going to sound really cheesey for a while, but I really like this guy at school. I'm sixteen and I've never had an actual boyfriend...or even a kind of boyfriend. I have always been way too shy to even approach the person I am interested in. I told someone else that I was had feelings for them ONCE and I was "rejected", I later found out that he was gay. Anyway, this person I like now is really sweet and laughs at my stupid jokes and I could really see us as a couple. **Rejection shouldn't scare you and put you off asking in the future. It's a lesson in life. Most people will go through it at some point. It's experience.

**You shouldn't compare yourself to the other girls. I know it's hard, but all it does is make you feel inadequate. Everyone is different - which is an amazing thing. You should focus on your best features.

**To stand out, you should be confident. What this means is, FORGET feeling about looking "crappy in comparison" to your friends. Make eye contact, smile.

**You could start flirting now, but nothing too bold and drastic. Keep confident, relax, let your true colours show and allow him to see who you really are. Listen to him, use body language.
A way to find out if he is comfortable with you being around him is to invade his personal space. Stand close to him. If he doesn't edge away, it's a good sign. Touch his arm whilst talking/laughing etc with him. If he's not weirded out, it's also a good sign.

I'm sure Google will have LOTS of flirting tips and ways to strike up a conversation. Thinking of topics isn't anything to worry about. First, do the basics, such as hello, how are you etc and move onto something relevant to do with the situation you're in.

I bought a Maxiglide straightener about a year and a half ago, and for the past month Ive been using it daily. I'm not 100% sure with a Maxiglide, but I know with my hair straightener (GHD's), if it breaks and I send it back, they'll automatically send me a new one, because each one comes with a guarantee free of charge.
My advice to you would be to contact the company who will most likely tell you to send it to them.

This is a hard question to answer.
Why is (i assume) she your "old" best friend? Did she do something to you to not become your best friend? Or have you just totally dropped her for someone new?
This sounds really immature/petty to me.
If you still like your "old" best friend, include her with the activities etc you have with your new best friend. If she hasn't done anything wrong to you she obviously feels left out and jealous you've moved on to someone else.
If you aren't friends any more, why should you care?

around thursday (september 20) i noticed that my heart kind of "fluttered". like it's bubbling or something for a few seconds. i don't know what's going on with it either. then today (september 24) it did it a lot. i mean, at least every hour. i don't know what it is and I DON'T want to go to the doctor for it.

my dad, who is on the not so 'intelligent isde', told me that it could be from anxiety.

i'm confused and i don't know what it is. can anyone help me?

I've had this. I first got it when I was around 11. The doctor sent me to the hospital, they did numerous ECG's and other tests which monitored my heart while I slept.
Since it didn't really affect my every day life, I didn't need any treatment. They put it down to a tiny hole in the heart. It's actually really common.
You could have the came - but then again, it could be totally different.
When it comes to things like this, you MUST go to a doctor because noone here can diagnose you.
It could be something very simple like too much caffeine in your diet, to something which may need correcting.
Are you even sure it's your heart? Chances are it could be something else.
If it carries on, you should get a doctors opinion.
You shouldn't risk things when it comes to your health.
In the mean time, try not to worry and get checked as soon as you can.

Let me tell you, NOONE is ugly. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
I know it's hard not to, because everybody does it, but try not to put yourself down. What you should do is enhance what you already have.
When people are feeling down about their appearance, I always tell them to give themselves a mini make over. It's fun and by the end, you'll think better about yourself.
If you can, treat yourself to new make up. Or if you don't already wear it, try some out. Perhaps a new hairstyle too.
If it's only not being able to get guys to notice you which makes you feel ugly, I can tell you it is complete nonsense. If you think lowly of yourself, guys actually won't notice you. But if you have confidence, they will.
Confidence is the key. and I feel that is what you are lacking.
Be proud of who you are. You get 1 life, so make the most of it.
I hope you realize this soon, as noone should be made to feel ugly. Beauty is skin deep, dear.

Are you sure you haven't done/said anything which may have offended him? You may not necessarily have meant it, but he could have taken something the wrong way.
You never know, it could be the way you dress. Yes, it is pathetic.. perhaps he doesn't like it or wondered why you changed all of a sudden?

If I were you, I'd ask him. Don't be scared. You have a reason to know.
If he carries on and hasn't got a reason, he's not worth your time. Just ignore him.

So there is this boy in my class, and he sits next to me. and hes a junior and im a senior. and i kinda knew him, well i knew he was but we never really talked. so one day he made fun of me for getting an answer wrong. The things he is doing sounds rather nasty. It's hard to tell, but considering teens are pretty immature, he could be trying to get you to notice him in a rather odd way! It's common in early teens. Look out for more signs.. or give him a while.. he could actually start being nicer!

I'm getting my nose pierced in a few weeks and I'm not sure which nostril I should get done. It would just be a bolt...my mom isn't letting me get anything else.

It's all about what looks best on YOU.
I have my right nostril done. I've had left too. I prefer right.
The jewelry will fit in either side whether it's a ring or screw. I've had both of them, too.

You could have scratched the eyes surface or irritated your eye.
If it really feels like something is inside your eye, get a second opinion.. although, I can't help think if it was STILL in your eye, it would have come to the front.. especially after sleeping. Don't keep prodding and poking your eye. It will only make it worse.
