I'm getting my nose pierced in a few weeks and I'm not sure which nostril I should get done. It would just be a bolt...my mom isn't letting me get anything else.
Everywhere I've looked hasn't mentioned anything about it, but does it matter which side you get pierced? What I mean is, does it mean anything like ear piercings do?
thelaura answered Monday September 24 2007, 8:10 pm: To clarify:
Nose piercings don't mean anything.
Ear piercings don't mean anything.
It's all about what looks best on YOU.
I have my right nostril done. I've had left too. I prefer right.
The jewelry will fit in either side whether it's a ring or screw. I've had both of them, too. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
yourrtrustyhelpline answered Monday September 24 2007, 8:05 pm: people tend to do it on their left nostril. it doesn't really matter, but some people do it according to the hairstyle. say you part your hair on the left - then you'd get the left nostril peirced, and if you part your hair on the right, you'd get your right nostril pierced. i suggest that when you go, you ask the person doing the piercing about which side you should get it on.
