safe period for intercourse after a c-section on 4/9/07

we got a twin on 4/9/07 by a c-section. when it will be safe to have sex with my wife again? my wife & babies are fine now. stitches are almost healed up.

Like the other columnist said, 6 weeks is the safe bet.
If she had her surgery in April, her stitches should be well healed by now.

I had a c-section in February. I am pregnant again (already...) since my son was 4 months old. So if my uterus was healed enough to handle another pregnancy so soon after a c-section, hers is definitely healed enough to have sex.

"If you had a Cesarean section you should wait at least 4 weeks so your incisions can heal. Because it takes approximately 6 weeks for your uterus to return to normal after you give birth, many providers recommend waiting a full 6 weeks. Your hormone levels may take even longer to return to normal, especially if you are breast-feeding."
