i want to have a party or even a sweet sixteen but i know i cant because it just too much money to spend on. i know turning 16 is really special. i just want to have a small get together with like 3 of my closest friends. should i do movies, dinner, mall maybe this weekend even though my birthday was sunday?
but if i do dinner...do i have to pay for my friends too?

yea, usually if you invite someone out to eat you pay for them. unless they voulenteer to take you out to eat (which doesnt sound the case). i think you should maybe go to a casual dining resteraunt (and if the weather is nice then go and eat outside), and just enjoy the time with your friends. then maybe hang out at one of your houses or something. and just have fun. its your birthday! do what you want :] have fun!

i am a 9th grader and at my school we got a pool.today we had to do a 3 by 3 which means swim three laps in the pool and three on the feild and then three in the pool again in less then 15 minutes. this week i havent been feeling to good. my period started of saturday so my stomach has been hurting, and my head. so today for some reason i was having trouble swimming because i was having a hard time breathing. i put in as much effort as i could to do my best becasue this was going to count as a grade. anyways the girls got a 2 minute head start and running isnt my thing and so when i ffinished tgree laps i was almost the last person in. my teacher decided to LOCK the gate that goes from the field to the pool. he told me that i had to go around which meant me in soakin wet clothes walk around the boys locker room and the wait room. so all that work i did was for nothin he is going to make me do it again.. i think that was messed up that he did that and he has no right. am i right? me and my mom r goin to have a talk to the VP about it tomorrow. but i was wondering if that is against the law that he just left us out there. he said i walked the whole thing which wasnt even true i ran as much as i could and when i got tired i stopped i even have other students see me running. and he said somethin that was not called for which was his 97 year old grandma could run faster then me. is the teacher allowed to not watch there students and leave them like that?

yea, thats deffinitally not right. and its good your doing something good about it. i dont know if its against the law exactly ( and it may depend on the state you live in), but its deffinitally not good. and if you had gotten hurt or kidnapped or something- it would be all his fault. next time you dont feel good, maybe get a note to get you out of gym.. you deffinitally dont want this happening again. he also deffinitally shouldnt be calling you names and such, although he meant it in a motivating way (most likely), you obviously didnt take it like that. so deffinitally talk to your vp and see what he thinks. sorry that happened - good luck though

Hi.. I have a huge problem! And I don't know what to do anymore!. I am like in love with my brothers best friend. The thing is that I have a very overprotective brother and uncle + family. well i dont need a 20pg paper to tell you this. you have fallen for him. but he seems like hes more into hookups then relationships. and if you arent interested in being a hookup, then (i know this isnt what you wanna hear) maybe he isnt the best choice of a guy for you. as for him being mean and such, some guys are jerks when they like you. and when you are just there so they can have you, it almost seems like they dont want you. they like a challenge and they like to come get you. since he has done so much, and you so little- im not sure if you would also be comfortable with him. what if he tried ot push you into doing things? you would prolly let him because your so into him and dont want him to dump you or whatever. if your thinking i would never do that, most girls are like you. they dont think they'd do it- but once they are in the situation, they end up doing it or even more than they thought. because of the fact you have really overprotective relatives, dating is going to be hard. and since he is your brothers friend- its most likely going to be super awkward at some times. in this situation, and you feel like you really cant give him up, then i think you should talk to your brother. find out what he thinks about you dating his friend, and you might find out things you didnt know. hun, i dont wanna tell you that you should get over him, but i do think at this point, its the best choice. and i deffinitally dont reccommend sneaking out (like you said) because if they found out, they would be super mad. i understand you like him, and he leaves you like wanting more, but theres better guys out there - i swear. onces who want you whether you go after them or not, and ones who treat you like a princess. im sorry, but he kinda sounds like a jerk and i dont think you should get any more involved in him. sorry,..

When a guy says he wants to go on a break, what does that mean?

he wants to take a break from your relationship to see what else is out there. its not really a breakup its just taking a break, for example- if one of you goes to camp over the summer, you might take a break because it will be easier than actually going out. and if anything happens, you dont have to worry about cheating on someone or whatever. its kinda hard, but dont worry it will pass soon.. just let him take his time, and since your young - you have NOTHING to worry about. good luck

i know that it gets your hair to not get oily as quickly. but im not sure about shiny. im sure if works for some people, but theres always products you can use and certian shampoos and conditioners that are like made for that.

most times i would be mad because it really bugs me when girls complain about guys liking them, but its a different situation when the guy is creeping you out. so i dont blame you. theres a couple ways you can handle this situation. you can always write him a note, sayoing your not interested in him so he should back off. ofcorse say it nicely though, so hes not hurt TOO BAD (although at this point i doubt you care). if you dont like the whole note idea, then you can always take when hes looking at you in a good way. nesxt time you see him looking at you, do and sit on your guy frineds lap and flirt with him or something. make him know that you are looking at other guys. you could always take the mean route and liek throw a milk at him or something. and really get the point across. good luck hun, and if you need anything else- your welcome to ask mee !
