sweet sixteen
I want to have a sweet sixteen, but I can't have anything too big because I already had a bat mitzvah. Does anybody have any good, not extrememly expensive ideas for a cute sweet sixteen party? Also, I want some good themes as well.

Sure, you don't have to have anything big. Just get your best friends together and plan out something like dinner at your house, go to a movie, or check out 16 different shops at the mall. But the imortant thing is get in some quality time with your friends. You'll remember that most. Also, try to incorperate "16" into your party. Like have ice cream at the party with 16 kinds of topings to put on it. =P
I'm doing the same for my 21st which is on Friday. Just something simple with 3 of my friends and a little booze to emphasize the "21" aspect of it. ^_~

well, 16 is a big year. so you want it to be special and fun, but not so big cuz you alreayd had a bat mitzvah. maybe you can have a get togetehr with friends at your house. and have a theme like beaches, if its in the summer. or you could always go the toga, paris, vegas, or black and white routes. those are always fun to see how people spice up theyre clothes. or if your not big on the whole thing at your house, you could always do an amusement park or bowling or movies. dont be scared to get creative though. you know, and have fun with it - its a big birthday. goodluck

hey. just because you dont want to spend a lot of money on it doesnt mean that you cant have a sweet party! you could have a summer related party like a hawaiian luau. you could have food/decorations related to that. do you have a favorite sport? that could be a theme. here are some sites that you can take a look at that may come in handy:

Instead of an expensive cake you could make cupcake at home which would be just as good. Plus it's a more personal touch to make it yourself. You can always go to the dollar store to find alot of decorations for your party. As for themes...it depends on you and what you enjoy. If you enjoy make-up perhaps you can have a makeover themed party unless your having boys there too and then they may not enjoy that too much. :-) A Luau theme seems like it could be kinda fun. You could also do a hollywood themed party as well.
