-Lots of conditioner.
-Nail polish remover (might get rid of the stickyness; I've used it to get tree sap out)
Putting her head in the freezer is probably a bad idea, no? haha. But if her hair's long enough, you could like, shut her hair inside the freezer. With her standing on a chair, or sitting on the floor (depending on if you have a top or bottom freezer haha) That works well for clothes as well.
Lastly, try to pick out as much of the gum as you can. And use a fine-tooth comb to get it all out. Shampoo well, and a lot.
MyHappyShoe answered Thursday December 28 2006, 9:16 pm: get ice cubes and rub it on the gum until the gum becomes hard. It should be easier to get out then. If that doesn't work, try butter. If that still doesn't work... then you're going to have to cut it out. [ MyHappyShoe's advice column | Ask MyHappyShoe A Question ]

Courtney answered Thursday December 28 2006, 8:39 pm: Just get some ice and make sure that the bubble gum is frozen. Do this by placing the ice on the bubble gum in the child's hair. See if that works, it definitely should. Well, hope I was some help and lovely day to you. [ Courtney's advice column | Ask Courtney A Question ]
karenR answered Thursday December 28 2006, 8:32 pm: I always used peanut butter in my kids (and now grand kids) hair with success. I have also heard ice works but never had luck with it.
Just rub the peanut butter on and around the gum. Rub it in real good and start pulling down on it (like you're brushing her hair). It should come out
with just a little effort. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
unluckychick answered Thursday December 28 2006, 8:28 pm: Ha ha. Thant's funny. Sorry. Anyways, when my little sibblings get gum in their hair we usually use margerine and its comes right out. Getting the margerine out is another story...soap and water works. When they get it on their clothes we put it in the freezer and then pick the most off, then we put it in the washing machine and it usually all comes out. Good luck! =]
