ok well i have like soo many pimples and i have cream but does toothpaste really help them go away? please ii need help. this guy said he likes but i have too many pimples&ihate them too so please help. ill rate high.
Docholliday answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 4:37 pm: DOn;t date that guy if he said that, cuz that was rude even if you don't like pimples either, that was rude.
For the pimple problem however, you can use a 1/4 teaspoon of applecider vinegar and 2 drops of tee trea oil, dab it on with a cotton swab and put a band aid over it for the night and they should be gone in the morning. Now that remedy is for really bad pimples and only one a time, If you want full coverage then use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque, that stuff works great for everyone that uses it. DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE, it just dry out your skin and it itches, its not good for your skin in general. Hope I helped, good luck with all. [ Docholliday's advice column | Ask Docholliday A Question ]
dear_diary_x answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 12:50 pm: I doubt the guy really cares about how many spots you have.
I'm assuming you're a fellow teenager, in which case, stop worrying. It's all a part of growing up. Toothpaste can help a little, but don't leave it on for too long 'cos it can make the spots worse.
sizzlinmandolin answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 12:14 am: Wow that guy is a JERK. Don't you dare date him!
That taken care of, I think that you should see a dermatologist. A dermatologist is a doctor specializing in skin and will be able to give you a perscription acne medication that will be right for your specific condition. My aunt made me go to one once and I am so happy that she did! I only had a mild case of acne and thought it was silly, but I ended up getting a cream that was perfect for me. Do it for yourself though, not for that guy. He doesn't deserve your time. Good luck! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
Vanity answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 8:45 pm: Toothpaste does absolutely NOTHING for pimples. Don't even try it. It will only dry your skin out and waste what you could be using on your teeth.
Proactiv works very well. It is expensive though. So if it's out of your price range, try Booth's Cosmeceuticals (I use it and it's GREAT). You can buy specific products for touble areas or a starter kit that mirrors Proactive. You can get it at Target for about $15 [ Vanity's advice column | Ask Vanity A Question ]
here4u13 answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:57 pm: Toothpaste doesn't do anything but dry out your face. I know because its happened to me. My sister suggested to me to (after you wash your face with your cream) put oil of olay (which is a fast moisturizer) on your face. It really helped me. orphans answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:48 pm: Toothpaste is okay for people with a little amount of pimples. I'd consider seeing a derm for you, or trying proactive (www.proactive.com)
And on the site i believe they have good tips.
But if for now if you wish to cover up, your acne you can buy MINERAL MAKEUP (ex: bareminerals, or neutrogena has new mineral makeup out) they dont cause more pimples. Contact the derm (go again even if you already, been there.) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Itz_your_luckee_day answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:30 pm: yea proactiv all the way!! haha or get soaps that say "for oily skin" or w/e matches your type of skin. also DON'T POP YOUR PIMPLES keep your hands far far away from your face!! and your hair too! if you have bangs or hair that is constantly in front of your face try to keep it back as much as possible at least until your skin starts to clear up! i probably get one pimple a month and i'm an athletic 15 year old, i wash my face at leeeeast twice a day. if you're active too you should try and keep too much sweat build up.. use a towel or osmething and ALWAYS wash your face after practice or w/e hope i helped!! good luck [ Itz_your_luckee_day's advice column | Ask Itz_your_luckee_day A Question ]
shellxo answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:23 pm: Pimples can be hard to deal with. I hate when I get them. My advice to you is try oxy pads or proactiv. They both can really work well. I prefer oxy pads. Whenever I get a pimple, I rub it on there everynight before I go to bed. In no time it goes away. =) [ shellxo's advice column | Ask shellxo A Question ]
thesecondwavex answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:15 pm: acne is a stubborn thing. i used to have it really bad. have you tried proactiv? i think it's the best invention in the world. it really works. but in the meantine, yes toothpaste does work because it dries out your skin, but i only suggest it before bed, everyother day and only on the pimple, not all over your face because it can get dried out.
but in the mean mean time [ahah] have you tried foundation, or concealer? well if you do, you should try puting an oil free lotion on your face and neck 10 minutes prior to putting on the coverup because it makes application alot smoother and makes the makeup look less noticing.
LadyGoodman answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:13 pm: uhh... what the hell? I know you want me to tell you how to get rid of acne but it looks like plenty of people told you how to do that. What they didn't tell you is that you shouldn't be trying to date you a guy that won't date you just because you have some zits. You're a teenager, it's normal! Why would you want to date a superficial asshole like that? and even if he's "nice" otherwise... to be cliche, you should just date people that like you for you, and not on the condition that your face is void of some specks. t0xicParadiSe answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 7:00 pm: Toothpaste only dries up the pimples. I wouldn't suggest using it because they won't make pimples go away.
Unfortunantly there is no cure for acne but it is treatable.
I would highly suggest Proactiv.
Also you ahould try going to a dermetoligist.
I know you may think it might not work but it is actually one of the few things that DO work on pimples.
IAmShammay answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 6:36 pm: ive used toothpaste before overnight, but i dont suggest using it all of the time, eventhough it works.
just make sure you wash your face at least twice a day, and use toner if its oily or lotion if its dry. [ IAmShammay's advice column | Ask IAmShammay A Question ]
elliajean1214 answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 6:06 pm: Well I dont think toothpaste would actually work... But use some eyedrops (I use visine) on your pimples to clear the redness, the dab a tiny bit of 90% alcohol (rubbing alcohol) on them and it will dry them out. That usually works. DarkDesire23 answered Tuesday March 7 2006, 6:06 pm: ok,little/medium pimples take 3 days for me to go away, but big ones take about a week, try to find something like that for you.Toothpaste drys them out pretty good, and that makes them go away faster(so it doesnt nessecarily make them go away, but it helps!).i use clinique, its sort of expensive but it works good-go to clinique.com and take the test on what products is best for you.also, proactive works on SOME people--ex-my friend have so many pimples but she noticed them dissapearing/going down in 3 days, and for me it doesnt work at all.I have oily/combination skin-research what your skin works with.clinique is my best choice.I have-the foaming cleaner, clairfying lotion 2 (this makes them look smaller..i love this stuff) and the exfoliating scrub.they cost--but they last a while!I also use clearisal ultra 3day thing-mine is tinted-it looks weird so you want put it on at night an wash it in the morning. You can find clearisal ultra in and type of CVS store.Clinique-macys/online.Also try Dove Face Cleansing cloths-at cvs and at drugstore.com you just have to know that they go away exentually.
good luck and i hope this helps!!! =)
